I highly advise you read the first chapters for they are important to the story and yours as well.

You couldn't stop thinking about earlier this morning. Because for a short moment, it made you want to forgive Jim for kissing you and tell him you felt the same and then you go back to the inn and forget about your problems and be friends with him until the end of time.

But, of course, you already knew what you had to do.

Several hours after your nap, Jim woke you up to take you back to the inn just as Sarah woke up. You said goodbye to Jim as he got ready for school, and went upstairs to wear a borrowed uniform of Sarah's since your uniform was still drenched from the rain last night.

As you prepared the meals, you thought about when you got released from the hospital almost a week ago. You couldn't believe you've been on this planet only a week and already you've made friends and got a decent job and place to stay. You remembered that night when you climbed up a pile of rubbish and back flipped into the ship. It was fun, in a way.

You smiled as you thought about the dream you had, as well. What was the name of the planet where Flint and his crew hung out? Nassau.

You were thinking you could go there and search for answers, hopefully.

It would break Jim's heart in two if you told him you were going to quit working at the inn and leave. You couldn't imagine what Sarah's reaction would be. She'd probably be devastated or at loss for words. Maybe both.

You shook your head. Personal feelings couldn't get in the way of this. This was something you had to do. You didn't want to spend your life on a planet with people you don't know and work boring jobs for a living. This morning made you realize that.

This wasn't going to get any easier if you keep thinking about the kindness Sarah has given you and Jim's hospitality.

You haven't the faintest idea how you would tell the news to them both. Maybe you'll just leave a note and be off so you saw no one's hurt expressions. But that sounded too cruel and you would like to say a proper goodbye to Jim and Sarah and not leave them worrying.

You barely had the energy to work, but it was merely satisfactory. Sarah often asked what was wrong, but you said you were just tired and yawned for effect. Sometimes, you thought about asking her about the letter you found in her room, but you didn't want to sound like you were snooping in there, so you decided not to.

That afternoon, before your small break, you finally decided you'd tell Jim first.

You took off your uniform and went upstairs and washed your hot face in the bathroom. The cool water freshened you up, and you walked out. You heard the door open as you rounded the railing to go downstairs and saw Jim in the doorway. His eyes were traveling through the inn, looking for you. When his eyes landed on you, he smiled wide and made his way up.

"Hey," he said as reached the top.

You tried to smile, but it was too much effort, so you have him a tight grin. "Hey yourself. How was school?"

He shrugged. "Could have gone better. You're lucky you don't attend. It's so boring. "

"Meh. School is overrated. Besides, I already know everything about everything."

He raised an eyebrow dubiously. "Oh, really?"

You smiled for real this time. It fell as you told him, "Hey, can I talk to you about something?"

Jim frowned, as if noticing something was wrong with you. " Sure. About what? Is everything okay?"

"Just come with me."
