21: eating in bed

a little while later

ashlee's pov

i wake up feeling tired, and hungry. i groan as i rub my eyes and stretch before sitting up properly. i look over to see that simon isn't here. confused, i begin grabbing my clothes and getting dressed. that's when the door begins to open...

i immediately dive back into the warmth of the bed, wearing nothing apart from my underwear. the rest of my clothes remain scattered around the room.

i watch as a tray with food piled on top pokes through the open door, followed by a topless simon. i let out a sigh before sinking back down into the bed.

"i made food as i bet you're hungry." simon smiles as he places the tray on my lap before climbing back into bed. i smile back at him, "thanks." "you're welcome." he nods.

i examine every bit of food... with my mouth. he's brought all sorts; from waffles and pancakes, to strawberries and chocolate, to different kinds of crisps (chips); i.e. all my favorite things. i wonder how he knows that, or did he just grab whatever?

"i take it that you're hungry then." simon laughs. i nod, "mhm." i hum. "well, i'm not surprised. i mean after all, you did just do a hard "workout"." simon winks at me. i shake my head and sigh, "shut up."

"anyway, the others will be back soon. so, you should probably get dressed in a minute." simon says as he looks at his phone. i nod, "k." "but obviously, finish eating first." he smiles. "was going to anyway." i say.

does he really think i'm gonna stop eating? like, um, no. food is life. i love food.

he lightly chuckles, "fair enough."

"are you gonna get dressed?" i ask. "i'm actually gonna shower first." he says as he climbs out of bed. i nod, "okay." "you're free to join me." he winks. "i'm eating. so no." i say. he laughs, "okay." "so, have fun." i smile at him. he nods, "you too." "already am." i lightly laugh. he smiles, "i see."

i then watch as he walks into the bathroom; remembering to close the door behind him.
