Chapter 30

After we got inside Luca just wanted to cuddle and go to sleep. I loved to cuddle so despite there being a piece of me that always felt bad no matter what man I was with I rested peacefully. I didn't even hear Luca get up or leave. He left me a note telling me to have a great day and that he loved me. I got up and made myself some blueberry pancakes and eggs. I lounged around for a while catching up on some shows since I was otherwise occupied. I found myself smiling as images of Nico and I flashed in my mind. My phone pinged alerting me of a message. Speak of the devil.

NICO: Hey my beautiful lady. See what I did there lol. I can't wait to see you tonight, even if it is just to operate. Just know you'll have to sneak me a kiss or two or my night will be shit. I love you Jaya.

I smiled the entire message. He was completely silly but so adorable as well. I hovered over my keyboard for forever trying to figure out something witty or sweet to say. I thought about how I interact with Luca but Nico and I were something different entirely.

ME: These kisses aren't free but I guess for my favorite customer you can have a sample. I can't wait to see you either. I might just love you a little bit too. :)

NICO: A little bit? Oh the hurt! Sample you say? I think I not only sampled it already but I have put in enough work to get the whole meal. Or have you forgotten the last few days? ;)

He was such a freak and I loved it.

ME: Oh how could I forget something that mind-blowing? I guess you have earned more than enough lol.

NICO: Wait a minute here did you just say you "might just love me a little bit"?? How dare you woman.

ME: I looooooove youuuuuu

NICO: That's better. Wanna hear you scream it though, if you know what I mean.

ME: Better find some time for a quickie, you can't hype me up for nothing.

NICO: It's on!

I grinned mischievously at the fact he turned me on that fast. I raced to get ready because I was sitting in lala land for a little too long. I put my hair in a loose wavy ponytail and wore some dark burgundy lipstick. I winked at myself in the mirror before I headed out. I got to the hospital in record time luckily. I would have to check in with my nurse first and then head to Nico.

Saraj caught me before I went to talk to every one and she gave me an encouraging hug along with some rude and laugh worthy jokes about my situation. She was a great friend. I know she would be mad at my choice because of how it came about if I indeed went through with it, but she'd ultimately understand because of how I have expressed myself about Nico. Everyone seemed to be in great spirits and it was a slow night so there was not much they needed from me. I reminded them about contacting me if I wasn't in surgery, unless it was an emergency if I was. I gave my usual threats with laughter as a response and I headed to see my sexy man.

I just said my man, in reference to Nico. Oh goodness.

I shocked myself right there, so much so that I had stopped walking for a minute. I looked around to make sure nobody saw my stunned moment and then kept on my journey. I was getting antsy because the trip seemed to take waaaay longer than it usually did and I was not a fan. I needed to see him like the air I breathed, it was getting way deeper than anybody could have ever anticipated and that still scared the dog shit out of me. As I got closer to the door I heard laughter and it sounded like that heffa Sherry and Nico. I know we weren't remotely exclusive or out in the open but that bitch was flirting once again. I was about to just bust in there but I had to be professional.
