Sophia Grace Reed

Every guy has had that crush so bad on a girl, that it made them do stupid things. I’m talking about get all weak kneed and babble like an idiot. Yeah know, how they show in the movies. Well for me that one girl is Sophia Grace Reed.  Every time I got near her my brain just went to complete crap. One day I was watching walk down the hallway and ran into a locker. But like all crushes, she doesn’t notice me.  Which is odd cause I stand out so much because of my hair, and how much I got bullied in high school. I never had the courage to walk up to her.

The first time I had ever seen Sophia Reed was in fourth  grade. Me and Jazz (even back there she dressed like a guy) were throwing bugs at each other when someone started crying. You see Sophia was taller than most girls in the seventh grade. No one ever wanted to play with her. Some how a  nine year old me ask her to play with us. It was like that for a while till middle school. That year guys  started to notice her, she just became more popular.  To this day I don’t think she remember me or Jazz.

“God, he is drooling. He can staring at one person.”  Jazz said. Ben and Jazz looked around and spotted the blond haired cutie I was staring at.

“Sophia Grace Reed.” They both said in unison. I turned my attention away.

“Dude go talk to her, it’s start of a new school year.  I heard from Kelly that she doesn’t have boyfriend. Here is your chance.” Ben said checking out the group of girl Sophia was with.

“Yes, go talk to the pretty princess.” Jazz said in a bitter tone. After Sophia stopped hanging with us, Jazz didn’t like her for some reason. I just passed it off a girl thing. As if she heard as talking Sophia and her friends came walking over to our table. I couldn’t help but notice how the bright blue dress clung to the shape of her body. The closer she got to the louder my heart beat.  “For fuck sake Riley relax.”

“Hey Ben.” One of the girls said, as if he was the only person at the table. Then again I was use to it.  Ben pretend not be excited about Rachel standing in front of him.

“Hey Rach, what brings you lovely ladies to the mall?” He asked keeping his cool. The guy always kept his cool around girls. Unlike me I turn into a idiot.

“Doing some back to school shopping.” Rachel coaked her head to the side as if she just noticed me sitting there. Me personally, I didn’t like her. I don’t know which I dislike about her more. The way she treats people or the fake she played the good girl card. Maybe it could be the fact that she acted stuck up and she put down me and Jazz at any chance she got.  Any of these is reason enough for me to dislike the girl.

“Hello to you too Rachel.”  Jazz said to her. Rachel made a disgusted look at Jazz.

“I see you still hang out with….them.” See what I mean.  By  them  she means the weird kid with bright red hair and Jazz the he/she.

“We see you still stuff your bra.” Jazz said back to her. I tried not to laugh.  Rachel rolled her eyes and turn her attention back  to Ben.

“I’m having back to school party next week.” Diana said as she passed him invention.  “All the cool are gonna be there and no parents.”  Ben looked at it.

“I’m sure you can spare two more invites for my friends.” Ben turned on the charm on her. “I’m sure they would want to join on the fun too.” He lightly brushed her arm.

“Diana, I’m sure an extra two people won’t kill you.”  Sophia said in almost shy voice. I never got why she hung out with those two. She was so different from them.

“Invites are limited.” Rachel said before Diana could even speak. Jazz rolled her eyes. In other words, we weren’t cool enough for them. They didn’t want us at the party.  Again I was use to this shit, people thinking I’m weird or a freak. But at times, it did piss me off.  “So will you come?”

“I don’t know, I’ll have to think about me.Think me and the guys got something that night away.” Which was a damn lie. Ben would be more popular if he didn’t hang out with us.  I looked over at Sophia who caught me looking. I looked away.

“Well we hope you can make it.” Dianna said. All three girls walked off and watched. I watched her long legs walk away from me.

“Damn dude, stop drooling.” Jazz breaking my attention. I looked at Ben.

“You going to that party.” I pretended be eating my fries.

“nahh, I’ll catch the next one.” I knew he wanted to go. We all know he wanted to go, but he didn’t want us to feel left out. “Unless you two want crash?”

“As much fun as that sounds, I would have better time shaving my head.” Jazz said to the both of us.

“Riley?” Ben asked.

“I’ll pass. Don’t wanna be anywhere I’m not wanted.”  Ben rolled his eyes.

“You vampire dude. Aren’t they suppose to be confident and charming and all that shit?” In other words why I’m not cool and bursting like in the movies.

“Well that’s not me.” I hated to say this next part. “I don’t even  have my fangs yet.”

“Why not?”

“They don’t know.” By they, I mean my parents. “ I’m already behind in the change. My cousins have already to showing signs that they have powers.”

“Dude that sucks, you can suck on some hot chicks blood yet.” Ben said.

“Yes, all those poor girls.” Jazz said sarcastically.
