Some times in life there was no happy endings. Just a okay middle. My life right now was at that okay middle. Things didn't go back to normal. As far as school goes. I burned the school down. It was decided that everyone would home school online for the remainder of the year. My dad didn't stay long after that night. After Ms. Powell was questioned and the court killed her. He left After that. Saying it wasn't safe still for him to be around. It sadden me, but at this stage in my life understood.

Jazz and Ben have been the same, almost. Jazz been distant, said ever since that night at the school she's been different. Said been hanging with the pack trying to get stronger. Ben been doing research about demons. Some days he's himself perfectly fine. But every now and then he's a little off. He stopped going parties so much. And talks differently. Somethimes it was hard to point out the difference.

Things with myself well....

"You okay?" Ben said climbing up on the roof. I looked up at him. His Horns were sticking out. They looked a little longer.

"Why are you out at this time of night?" I asked him. He shrugged.

"Sometimes I like going out at night." I heard something below. I looked down to see Jazz. She jumped from the ground to the roof. Her ears was like a wolf and her fangs were out. "How are you doing that?"

"I don't know." She said looking at her nails. "Since the moon I don't have to fully shift. Alpha has never heard of any wolf that can do that. I can still take my wolf form." She sat down next to Ben.

"You two hanging around this summer?" I asked them.

"Yeah, but I got my folks to put me in a driving class." Ben said. "Think I'm gonna look for a job, see if I can find anymore demons like me. So I'm here for you man." Ben's Horns went back into his head.

"Well I don't have much going on. Alpha said I'm free to make my own choice. Being by your side or being part of the pack. But there are some things I need to start trying to figure out. So I'm sorry if sometimes I'm not always around. But I'm here always." Jazz said. I took a deep breath and looked the sky.

"Gonna try figure out my powers. I'm scared shirtless. But I want you two by my side ." I laid back on the roof. We all laid there quietly. For that brief moment in time. I felt okay.

I sat in front my laptop looking at Job listing. Mom sat behind watching a movie on TV. Today was her start of her vacation. Next week we were going on road trip, just us. Dad came from upstairs in his old office.

"I need to talk to the two of you." He came down stairs and turned off the TV. "Sit next your mom." I closed my laptop and sat next to mom.

"Sweetheart, what's going on?" Mom asked Dad.

"I wanted to talk to you both about adopting Ava." He said bluntly.

"Why?" My mother said sitting up.

"Ava has no parents. She's been by my side for a while. Moving place to place with me. Not being in school. Not having a home. She can have that here. She needs a family and a home." I could see Ava had created a father life relationship with my Dad.

"Darren, this is a lot at once." Mom said.

"Baby I know, but when he was here. Going to school. She was happy. She seemed to enjoy having a stable life and that's what she needs. That girl deserves so much. I would like for her to be apart of this family."

"I think she should be adopted." I said out loud. "You're right, he deserves a family and I wouldn't mind having a sister."

"Really?" Mom said. "Does she want to be apart of our family?" Mom asked.

"Ask her yourself." Dad pointed behind us. Ava came in from the kitchen. "What do you think Ava?"

"I" she paused for second. "I never thought about being adopted or school." She told with her hands together. "I wouldn't mind being part of this family." Mom got up and hugged her.

"Then it sounds like we should get to work and getting you adopted." Mom said. "I always wanted a daughter. Maybe now I can have someone to shop with." Mom gasped.

"Well I get my own room?" She asked curiously.

"Of course. We can clean out my office and you can paint the room and decorate." Mom went and grabbed Dad's hand and pulled him upstairs. "Come up we have some phone calls to make." I turned and looked at her.

"Welcome to the family." Ava came and sat on the sofa. "Of course this means you have to get use to being around Jazz. She's here a lot." Ava cringed.

"How do you put up with that smell?" She asked.

"Years and years of practice." I stood up. "HEY IS IT COOL IF WE GO TO MALL?!" I yelled upstairs.

"Sure, curfew is at eight." Dad called. I looked at Ava.

"Wanna go? Friends are gonna be there and we can look at stuff for your new room." I slept on my shoes.

"Sounds pretty cool. Brother." We both started laughing. Yeah this was a pretty good middle. I didn't know what was going to happen next for me. And honestly it worried me. It's not everyday that someone finds out they are profit. I had a lot to do before the day come where I have to decided who I am what will become of the vampires and humans. I was just happy I had the support of my now growing family and my loyal friends. Right now I needed all the support I can get. This was just the beginning. The beginning of my immoral life.
