"You know, I'm starting to get real tired of you not wanting to tell me about yourself. I've told you anything I could think of that was of any importance, and I got nothing in return."

Jennifer all but yelled as Rick drove them towards the clothing outlets.

"You know what you need to know."

"Not really, and I can't keep pretending that I'm not a little bit nervous to be with someone that refuses to give me any information about himself."

"Like I said, you know what you need to know, you don't need to worry or be nervous."

"Can't you give me anything, something small... what do you do for work?"

"I already told you, I'm self employed."

"Self employed in what!"

He drove in to a parking lot in front of a couple of stores and parked. He turned in his seat to look her dead in the eyes.

"No more questions, I don't ever want to hear you asking about what I work as, or what I do. Enough!" he yelled.

She backed away in her seat and whispered, "fine."

"Good, now go get yourself a few things, I'm going into another store."

His rage definitely deterred her, she couldn't for the life of her understand where his rage came from, why he got so offended when she'd ask basic questions that she had a right to know considering he was dragging her with him on a journey that she didn't ask to embark on. She knew she wouldn't get an answer as to why he reacted the way he did but that wouldn't stop her from trying to get him to open up and tell her more about himself in the future. If they were going to be stuck on a cross country road trip together, he was not going to be a stranger to her.

They both stepped out of the car and without anything more said between them, she made her way to the first clothing store she saw.

Jennifer had been in the dressing room when Rick walked into the store. just as she stepped out to ask for help, she saw him walking towards her, and asked him instead.

"Hey, can you zip me up?" she asked.

"Of course," he followed her into the dressing room and closed the door.

Quietly, she turned away from the door as he came up behind her to zip her up. When he finished, he put his hands on her shoulders, and let them glide down her arms. She couldn't help but close her eyes for a few moments as her body took in the pleasure of his touch on her. He let his hands linger above her own for a few seconds before she turned around to face him.

"Looks good." he said as he took a step forward, his face inches away from hers.

"Thank you," she smiled.

The discomfort she felt having him so close that she could feel his touch even after he removed his hands from hers gave her an uneasy feeling, she couldn't ignore the obvious attraction she had to him and how much it scared her that she wanted him in ways she didn't even understand. When she couldn't pretend any longer she looked down, but in response he took her chin in his hands gently and titled her up.

"We're going to have to work on you shyness,"

There was a knock on the door before someone swung it open.

"So I have these in a size- Oh, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry," the employee backed away from the room.

"It's okay," Rick said as he took a step away from Jennifer.
