Dear Theodosia, what to say to you?
You have my eyes. You have your mother's name

I was so happy ta hea dat we was expectin again, oua son was already two, an we'd been tryin foa months. So when (y/n) told me da news, I couldn't a been happier!

She went inta labor in da middle a da night an flashbacks of her long labor wit our son began ta haunt us a bit.

I couldn't leave ha alone, but I couldn't get anyone hea ta de apartment witout leabin. So I did what any panicked husband would. I went an asked da neighbor lady foa help. She was none too pleased ta be woked up in da middle a da night.

When we reentered da apartment (y/n) was cryin out in pain and our son was sobbin knockin on our bedroom doa.

I scooped 'im up an rocked 'im back ta sleep assurin him evertin was fine.

Surprizinly in less den an houa (y/n)'s screams stopped and the cryin of a newboan could be hoid.

I put da boy in me arms inta 'is trundle bed and knocked hesitantly on the door to me an (y/n)'s room.

"You can come in." I heard da neighbor lady say. So I opened da doa and stepped in.

"Jacky, it's a girl." (y/n) smiled barely above a whisper.

"A goil?" I asked tears wellin up in me eyes.

"Mhm!" She nodded.

"Can I hold ha?" I whispered sittin on da side a da bed.

"Of course you silly boy." She giggled slightly handin me oua daughta.

"She looks just like you, (y/n)." I whispered in awe a da precious little goil.

"She has your eye." My wife whispered sweetly.

"We should name ha (y/n)." I stroked da baby's cheek.

"Oh Jack!" (Y/n) gasped.

"I'll take dat as a yes." I chuckled.

"I might cry." She blinked ha eyes.

"I love you (y/n)." I said ta both da lovely goils in my life. When I didn't hea a reply I noticed dat my wife was sound asleep. "Well looks like it's just me an you little one. I know you'll turn inta a lovely, strong, caring, independent woman, just like ya mudda." I cooed to da little one not ready to put ha in da cradle yet.

When you came into the world, you cried and it broke my heart

"And what did I tell you?" I heard (Y/n)'s aunt Leah snort in the bedroom as I held the twins trying as they slept. Sure enough, they were barely 18 months old and (y/n) was in the same situation. Ironic really.

"I still hate him!" (Y/n) cried out. I just shook my head. It really was not bothering me as much this time because she knew what it entailed this time round, but I was still queasy, she is my wife, the love of my life, and to her her in such agonizing pain was shattering my heart. Everyone says I'm to sensitive, but I really don't care. I'm strong when I need to be and I like having emotions.
