Just Imagine....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey there Cutie! What are you working on now?" You felt his hands on your shoulders as he kissed the top of your head.
"Hey! You're getting water on the paper!"
"I'm sorry, (Y/N), but I did just get out of the shower.." You finally turned your head to look at him. Expecting one of his shenanigans, you were surprised when you saw he was fully clothed.
"Yes, Kendall, but water and paper don't mix." You laughed and sat the notebook and pen on the coffee table, waiting for Kendall to come sit next to you.
"Again, I'm sorry," he sat next to you and kissed your cheek.
"Don't worry about it, it'll dry soon."
"So you just busted my chops, making me think you were really mad at me for nothing?" He raised an eyebrow at you.
"Babe, you should know by now that I could never really be mad at you!" You smiled at him, waiting for his eyebrow to back down. Soon enough it did, and he smirked. "What?"
"Oh, nothing...." He continued to smirk at you.
"Kendall, it's something. What in the world is going through your head?" Without answering, he grabbed your notebook from the coffee table and jumped up, running across the room.
You jumped up and ran after him, "Kendall! Give it back!"
"Why don't you ever want me to read these?" He asked as he ran to the kitchen.
"Because they are private! And I share some of them with you, just not all of them!" You continued to follow him. Around the island, down the hallway, up the stairs, into the bedroom, and back again until you were both out of breath.
"Just let me read this one, (Y/N).." He pleaded as he gasped for air.
"It's not even finished." You gasped for air as well, leaning on the island as he leaned against the other side.
"Yes it is. You signed the bottom. You only sign them when they are finished."
"Whatever. Just read it. I can't stop you anyway." You rolled your eyes and watched him begin reading it. He always wanted to read your little stories, poems, and occasionally lyrics, but because he was a writer as well you always felt uneasy with sharing anything with him. He always loved everything, and gave the best positive criticism anyone could give, but you still didn't like it.
You watched his facial expression change as he read. Of all poems he could insist on reading, it had to be this one.
He looked up. "His eyebrows danced better than I ever could, but he wanted to dance with me anyway." He smirked, and of course, raised an eyebrow, causing you to blush and hide your face in your hands.
"I knew I should have left that line out!"
"Why?"
"It sounds so stupid!" You could almost feel him coming closer to you even though you didn't hear anything.
"It's really not though....It's witty, it fits with the poem, and I think it describes my eyebrows pretty well." You looked up to see him and his smirk, and punched his shoulder.
"I told you I didn't want you to read it for a reason...."
"Why, (Y/N)? I never said it was bad. I think this is the best thing I've read of yours, or at least that you've let me read of yours. It's amazing, really. And not just because it's about me."
"Will you stop already!" Even though you were kind of mad at him, you couldn't help but let a small smile slip out.
"(Y/N), it's amazing because when I read it, I could feel the emotions you felt while writing it. I could see the scenes, and not only because I was there for most of them, but because of how you described them and used images. Not to mention, I'm really touched that you wrote this about me...." When you looked up this time, he showed a genuine smile.
"Well of course, Kendall. Who else would it be about? Absolutely no one compares to you.."
"And no one compares to you, (Y/N). You know, I think you should read this at our wedding." You looked down at your left hand, seeing the engagement ring you were still getting used to. It had only been a week, but it felt like he had just proposed that morning.
"Kendall, I don't think so, I mean--"
"What? It's too personal? (Y/N), it's perfect for our wedding because of that!"
"Fine. I will if you write one and read it at our wedding!" He gave you a questionable look at first, but soon smiled.
"Ok, deal." He held his right hand out and you shook it. That sealed it. There was no going back now. Not that you would ever want to.
"Hey, you know I love you, right?" Kendall asked you as he looked into your eyes.
"Of course, and I love you too, or at least I'd hope you know that."
"If I didn't before, I sure do now...." He smiled, and wrapped his arms around your waist a yours snaked around his neck.
"Kendall, you're such a dork."
"I know, but I'm your dork."
"Forever?"
"Forever." He closed the gap, causing your lips to collide and sparks to fly. Your heart thudded in your chest, the butterflies fluttered in your stomach, and chills went up and down your spine. Mid-kiss, you smiled, and couldn't help but think: his eyebrow game is strong, but this boy sure can kiss.
