Chapter 48 - Part Two

I watched him fidgeting in his seat as we sat in silence, he turned off the radio after getting irritated at a some driver that thought it was okay to flip Jc off as him and his friends mooned us through their windows.

"If you need to take a break, I can drive." I said, he shook his head.

"No, I got it." He said, I put my hands up and nodded.

"Fine. Then fucking slow the hell down, let me remind you this is my car." I said, he stared over at me and groaned.

"Shut the hell up already." He said.

"Excuse me? We're not even married yet and you're already bickering at me." I said, "If you're like this now, I wonder how bad you'll be in 50 years."

"Who says I'm gonna be like this when we're married?" He asked.

"No one. It's just we just got engaged and you're all pissy already." I said.

"Sorry, I just don't particularly like having to drive cross-country."

"Then let me drive." I said.

"No. I'm not going to make you drive."

"Make me drive? I'm offering.." I said, "Stop off at that gas station and we'll switch."

"Nope. Just take a nap or something." He said. I immediately stopped talking and kept quiet.

*2 hours later*

"We're almost to Houston." He said after literally 2 hours of complete silence. I sat up in my seat and nodded.

"Good.. Can I drive now?" I asked.

"Nope." He said, I sighed and leaned back against my seat.. Staring out the window. I glanced and seen a huge 18-wheeler barreling down the highway we were about to cross, our light was yellow.

"Babe, we're not gonna make the light." I said, he obviously was ignoring me becuase just as soon as we made it past that light.. The 18-wheeler slammed into the side of us.

I felt pain rush through my body as I felt around the seat next to me for Jc's hand. I couldn't find his hand or any other part of him.. I leaned up as high as I could to look at the area next to me. The car was completely smashed on that side. I couldn't see him at all.

"Jc!" I screamed, unable to move. Tears, sweat and blood dripped down my face as I heard sirens in the distance.

"Jc! Please! Answer me!" I screamed.. "I love you! Please!"

After seconds of no answer, I continued to look around until my eyes fell faint and darkness took over..
