---- Toriel POV ----

School went well today. Although Sans slept most of the day, he did help me with the kids when he was awake. Especially the section on souls and what they are. The class seemed to like him and he was fun to have around. Now it was the end of the day and I was carrying Sans to my car. He had fallen asleep during second recess and stayed asleep since then. Carefully, I placed him in the passenger seat and strapped him into place. I shut the door and walked around to the driver's side. As I sat down and closed the door, I couldn't help but look at him. Sans looked so peaceful as he slept. His legs were folded neatly beside him as he leaned on the door. His head was resting on one arm while the other was resting lazily beside him. He had his mouth open slightly, but he didn't make a sound. This made him look younger than he was and made me even more guilty that I liked him. I didn't notice that I was staring until I heard the honk of a car that yanked me out of my daze. How long had I been staring?

As I started my car and drove away from the school, Sans opened his eyes a little bit. I glanced at him quickly and he was smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Good morning sleepbones." I said, teasingly. "How was your sleep?"

"It was nice, especially with you in my dreams.~" His face tinted blue as he tiredly winked at me and I couldn't help but giggle. Was he flirting with me?

"Aw, that's sweet if you to say Sansy." I blushed slightly, still trying to figure out if he just said that to be punny, or if he was actually flirting. What if he was!?

After that, Sans fell back asleep and I concluded that his flirtatious comment was just the sleep talking.. or was it? I shook my head to clear the thought. I cannot keep questioning myself. The radio was playing softly and the songs that came on were coincidentally about love for some reason. However, this made me feel calm so I left it on. If I had turned it off, I would be left alone with my thoughts and I do not want that to happen. I cannot take anymore of 'fantasy versus reality.'

As we were pulling up into the driveway of the house, Sans woke up again. But this time, he stayed awake. I undid my seatbelt and hopped out of the car as Sans did the same. Although he looked terrible, Sans had convinced me that he felt better. At least he could walk --or limp-- now. Lightly using the car, he made his way over to me and I smiled with pity. I hope that he is fully better soon. I know that Frisk was already home and was not surprised when they ran out to meet us.

"Hi mom! Hi dunkle!" They said as they reached us and pulled us into a big hug. I hugged them back and smiled.

"Hello my child. Are you ready to go to Alphys'?" I asked and they nodded enthusiastically.

"Yep! I just have to get something," And as quick as Frisk came, they left and bounded back into the house. Sans and I both chuckled at this before I shut the car doors and followed them inside. I left the car running since it would be silly to shut it off knowing that we are just going to go back in. Frisk leapt down the stairs with a grin on their face as I walked into the living room. Oh my, that child is fast! But why are they carrying Flowey? I guess I was looking at the plant funny because suddenly, he scowled.

"What are you looking at, idiots?!" He spat as the child sighed. I do not know how they are so patient with that thing.

"Flowey, be nice!" They begged as he rolled his eyes.

"Kinda hard to do that without a soul!"
