“Come on Honey!” Tink yelled at me over her shoulder.

“I’m right here!” I yelled back at her as I tipped on forward in my red stilettos. She rolled her eyes and growled at me, joking on the short leopard print dress that I was wearing. I laughed and pulled my dress down a little so that it hugged my high yella thighs just right.

I didn’t have the best body, but I knew how to make it appear that way. I had medium sized breasts, nice thick legs and thighs, slightly widened hips and a reasonable sized booty. Like I said, it’s not the best; you just have to know how to make it work.

I followed Tink all the way to the front of the extremely lone line. “Dang it’s packed,” Tink said strutting her way toward Bo. Bo looked like the average stereo typed Bo. He was big, buff, and black. He was the guard whom we had met on many occasions.

“Tink, Honey! What’s good?” He greeted us sounding like a jolly giant with a jacked up smile.

“Same old, same old,” I replied to him once again adjusting my dress.

“You and Retro still kicking it?” He asked from behind his Oakley shades.

“No we aren’t,” I replied rolling my eyes, “Terrell plays too many games.” Terrell was my superstar ex, aka Retro. He was one of the most famous hip-hop rappers around at the moment. He was born and raised in Atlanta. He was like replica of Kanye West. I was kind of internationally known for being his girl. I was getting fairly tired of being known as his girl. I was so ready to create a new red carpet profile.

“Oh, that’s too bad,” Bo said letting us through the thick red rope.

“Yeah,” I smiled and turned to go in the club. The bass from Lil Wayne’s Six foot Seven foot immediately hit our ear drums as we entered the downtown Atlanta night club. Tink was the exact opposite of me with her coco colored skin and full figured body. She was stuffed into a sexy blue jean jumpsuit with the bright yellow accessories to top it off. We had been best friends since the sixth grade.

“You so crazy!” I yelled at her over the loud music and multiple conversations going on near the door. She dragged me through the dancing mob (turning heads) all the way to the bar.

“What are you having!” the sexy, gay bartender Omar leaned over to ask us.

“The usual!” I winked at him. He returned smiling two minutes later with two pina coladas. I immediately ate the pineapple from off the side and began sipping my mixed drink as I took in the crowd. I scoped out a few guidos. Of course, my train of thought was broken by Tink talking my ear off.

“Dang girl, everywhere you go it’s Retro, Retro, Retro,” she blabbed, “your life does not revolve around Terrell.”

“That‘s what I’m saying girl,” I nodded at her, “with his floogazey ass.” She chuckled at my Jersey lingo. “That’s why I’m trying to get my record deal A.S.A.P.” I said looking at her.

“Yeah, yeah Mariah Carey, I know,” she joked. She always called me MC when we talked about music, referring to my intense high notes. For someone who dated a rap star for two and a half years, you would think I was already in the music game. Wrong! In Terrell’s eyes, I was just his pretty accessory. That gets old fast. “If you really wanted to live your dream, you would go on ahead and make the move,” Tink replied to me.

Tink and I had been visiting Atlanta often for the past two years during my relationship with Retro. We had promised ourselves that once we finished college that we would make the big move to ATL. That’s the place to be if you want to be successful. I just was having a bit of a hard time leaving my hometown. I needed a bit more motivation. “We will soon girl, we will soon,” I smiled at her.

She turned her head and began to scan the room as I had before. The D.J. shuffled through his records and took everyone back a few years with “Love in This Club remix” by Usher and Beyonce. I smiled and seductively rocked my hips to the sound of Usher’s voice. I looked up as the chorus rang through the club. The music seemed to guide my eyes straight to the V.I.P. section. I instantly stopped swaying and my muscles tightened up. I tried to come out, but I couldnt move. I nudged Tink's shoulder to get her attention.

“What girl,” she turned to look at me. I still said nothing. She followed my gaze and out of the corner of my eyes I saw her mouth drop. “Oh my God, is that…?”

“Yes!” My voice returned out of nowhere allowing me to answer her unfinished question.
