Colton:
"We should probably go to my room before Brandon walks in." Savannah mumbles. I shake my head kissing her again. She runs her fingers through my hair pulling me closer. "Mm, I don't mind sitting here." I say squeezing her waist. She rolls her eyes kissing me again. I hold her tighter against me when she grids her hips into mine. Her lips moving along my jaw line. I jump when she kisses my neck. I could feel her warm breath on my skin as she giggled. "Are you ticklish?" She asks pulling back to look at me. "No." I denied. A mischievous look appears on her face as she kisses me again. Once more her lips find the ticklish spot on my neck which makes me jump again. She laughs resting her head on my shoulder. "I knew you were." She whisper. I roll my eyes bringing my lips back to hers. Her fingers tug gently on my hair. "Anyone home?" Brandon's voice calls. Savannah quickly jumps off of my lap running towards the kitchen. I lay down on the couch turning onto my side so that my back was towards the living room entrance. "Colton?" Brandon calls my name. I shift pretending to wake up. I turn my head to see him standing in the door way. I sit up watching him walk further into the living room. His eyes scan over my face quickly. "Where's Savannah?" He asks. "I don't know. Upstairs maybe." I reply. Just then Savannah walked through the kitchen with a banana in her hands. I tried not to laugh. Her hair look crazy and her shirt was bunched up. Yet she walked out casually with a banana in her hands. "We need to go grocery shopping." She informed Brandon. He nods but seems confused. "Where's May?" I ask. "Oh, she had a family thing. She'll be over later." Brandon explains. He stares between Savannah and I for a moment. "What have you guys been doing?" He asked. I look at Savannah who was already looking my way. "Well, I just got back from hanging out with Melanie." Savannah spoke first. I nod my head. "I've been watching movies all day since I was home alone. Why do you ask?" I ask trying to remain causal. Brandon shakes his head. "No, reason. I was just wondering." He stated. Savannah nods her head moving towards the living room entrance. "Well, I'm gonna go upstairs. This has been fun." Savannah says. Her eyes meet mine for a moment. I notice that the color of her cheeks were slightly pink. I couldn't help but smile at the thought. Brandon waits until she leaves the room to become serious. "Cut the shit, Colton, what were you guys really doing?" He asked bluntly. I tried my best to look confused. "Nothing. I've been home alone for most of the day. I must have fallen asleep a little before she got home. Why are you being so defensive?" I ask standing up. Brandon shook his head and crossed his arms. "I'm not but I already told you that my little sister is off limits. If I catch you looking at her the wrong way, I'll-"
"You'll what? Honestly, Brandon you're going to throw away our friendship for your little sister? Who I'm not even interested it. Besides, she's not a little girl. You can't control what she does." I remind him. Brandon narrows his eyes stepping towards me. "But I can control what happens in this house. Stay away from my little sister. She's off limits." He snaps. I clench my first it was the only thing keeping me from punching him. He had no right to threaten me. "Do we have an agreement?" He asks. I wanted to tell him no. To fuck off. That I'd see his sister if I wanted to but I couldn't. Not yet. "Yes." I speak through my teeth. Brandon nods his hand looking at me once again. I could see a hint of distaste in his eyes. "I'm gonna head to the gym. I'll be back later." He said. He grabbed his gym back from the laundry room then left the house. I waited until he was gone to head upstairs. Savannah stepped out into the hallway to meet me. She gasped when I pushed her against the wall and cram my fingers into her hair as I kiss her. She kisses me back for a moment then puts her hands on my chest. She shoves me away. I pull back looking down at her. "What's wrong?" She asked. I shake my head. Her hand touches my face softly. "Colton, I can feel your heart racing. What happened?" She whispered. I hesitate to
tell her. "Brandon," I said. Her face suddenly became serious. "What did he do?" She asks. I shake my head pulling away from her but she grabs my arm. "Colton," She pleads. I didn't want to tell her. I was afraid that she would agree with Brandon. That it would be best for us not to be together. Or at least consider being together. "He told me to stay away from you." I whisper. Her eyes scan mine for a moment then she looks away from me. I felt my heart start to sink. She was going to listen to him. She was going to agree. "Do you want to?" She asked. Her eyes meet mine again. I shake my head. "No." I say. "That's all I've ever done. Stay away. I'm not giving you up now. I've waited to damn long to have my shot." I said. A small smile appears on her face. She wraps her arms around my neck. "I don't care what Brandon says. It's none of his business anyways." She whispers. Her lips meet mine for a moment. "But we will have to be extra careful around him." I add. She nods in agreement. She kisses me again. "I should probably go before he comes back." She says. "Or we could go grocery shopping." I suggest. Her cheeks redden. She smacks my arm and I couldn't help but laugh. "That's not funny. I almost had a heart attack." She says. "I've never seen you run so fast." I smile. She rolls her eyes at me. "Well, if we're going grocery shopping we should go now." She states. I nod my head in agreement. Savannah kisses me quickly then disappears into her room. I head into my changing into a pair of jeans and tee shirt. When I step into the hall Brandon was coming up the stairs. "What happened to go to the gym?" I ask. "May is headed over. Where are you going?" He asks just as Savannah walked out of her room. A frown appeared on her face when she saw Brandon. "Grocery shopping." I say. Brandon smiles happily. "Good, we can tag along with you." Brandon said. "We?" Savannah asked. "May is on her way over." Brandon said. Savannah rolled her eyes. This seems to irritate Brandon. "You know you two are gonna have to work out your problems. You guys used to be very close." Brandon stated. Savannah rolled her eyes at him. "I'll get right on that, dad." She sneered at him. Before he got the chance to say anything the door bell rang. He turned on his heel jogging down the stairs. "Just ignore him. It's not worth fighting with him." I whisper kissing Savannah on the side of the head.
