Savannah:
Everything finally seemed like it was falling into place. Or at least I hoped. "Vanna, you coming?" May asks. I break out of my thoughts and close my locker. I jog a few steps to catch up May. "Uh, it's weird to be back." May announces. I find myself agreeing. I couldn't help but notice the large grin on her face. "So, how'd it go?" I ask referring to Brandon. Her grin widens; if that's even possible. May spent the majority of weekend with Brandon. Even when she came over to my house, Brandon was always around, so we never got the chance to talk. "Right, well, when he showed up to the house, I thought it was you." She begins. "So, when I opened the door I was surprised to find him standing there. Before I got the chance to say anything he kissed me." May gushed. I smile at her. "Anyways, he told me that the reason he pulled back at the party was because he hadn't broke it off with Rosie. So, he did after I left. Then he explained to me that you beat him up; thank you by the way." She chuckles. I laugh along with her. "But yeah, after we just spent the day together. That's pretty much how it went. I spared you from the gory details." She winks. I grimace. I really didn't want to hear about them making out anyways. She laughs at my facial expression. We turn down the hall that leads to the cafeteria. "So, how are things with Mason?" She asks causally. I smile to myself. "Good mostly." I say. "That's good. I'm glad you two made up." May says drawing me out of my thoughts. She pulls open the cafeteria door and steps in. I follow behind her letting the door close behind me. We walk towards the lunch line and wait for it to move up. "Speak of the devil." May mumbles. I turn my head to see Mason walking towards us. I greet him with a smile. "Hey, babe." He whispers pressing my lips to his. I kiss him back for a moment then pull away. "Hmm, hey." I greet him. He chuckles walking beside me as I get lunch. I settle for a slice of pizza and a water. "Are you doing anything after school?" I ask. Mason shakes his head. "No, did you want to do something?" He asks. I nod my head. Mason laces his fingers with mine as we walk towards our table. I could see Melanie glaring at Mason as we walked passed their table. I decide to ignore it as we reach our table. Brandon greets us as we sit down. I smile at him and grab my pizza. Mason lets go of my hand letting me eat. "So, this is a little weird." Brandon breaths out. I couldn't help but chuckle in agreement. "Yeah, but you'll get used to it." I wink. He rolls his eyes at me throwing a fry in my direction. I catch it with my hand and pop it into my mouth. "Hmm, those are good." I say. I reach forward to grab another one but he smacks my hand away. "May," I pout. She looks between Brandon and I then sighs. "Babe," She gives him puppy eyes. I could see him having an internal battle but with May involved she would win. He grumbles. "Fine," He says. I grin grabbing a handful of fries from his trey. "Thanks, bro." I state. Mason chuckles at Brandon. "I can't believe that just happened." Brandon mutters. "Its because May loves me." I say. She winks at me then laughs. I laugh along with her. "Hm, yeah yeah." Brandon waves us off. "Someone's salty." I mutter which causes everyone to laugh but him. Our laughter is cut short when Colton appears at the table. "Mind if we sit with you?" He asks. We? Sure enough Clover was standing behind him. Brandon looks at me and raises his eyebrow. Why was it my choice? I clear my throat. "Sure," I say. A look of relief appears on Colton's face. He takes a seat beside Brandon and Clover beside him. I shove a few more fries into my mouth. An awkward silence falls around us. May's eyes meet mine. Her eyes are questioning. I slightly shake my head. She sighs. "So, Colton, when's the next game?" She asks breaking the silence. Colton looks grateful that someone spoke to him. "Uh, tomorrow night, actually." He smiles. A smirk appears on Brandon's face. "We're gonna kick some Chief butt!" Brandon chuckles. Before anyone else gets the chance to speak the bell rings. "See you at home," I say to the guys and May. They nod as I stand. Mason grabs my tray in one hand and holds mine in the other. I smile at him as we walk towards the trash can. "Do you wanna come over for dinner? My parents would be happy to see you again." Mason offers. I ponder on it a moment then nod in agreement. We leave the cafeteria. As we walk back Melanie walks by with a blonde girl beside her. "Hey, Mason." The blonde greets him. "Olivia." He says politely. She frowns when he turns his attention back to me. I raise my eyebrow at Mason. "Oh, she's just my lab partner." He explains. I nod my head. After grabbing my books from my locker he walks me to class. "So, I'll go home and get ready. Then I'll drive over to your parents?" I ask. He ponders on it for a second. "Or I can pick you up?" He offers. I reluctantly agree. Once we reach my class, he presses his lips to mine. "Bye, baby." He whispers then walks away. I sigh, walking into class. I take my seat towards the back and wait for the class to start. Slowly, students start to file in. My gaze meets Mel's as she steps in. She walks towards me. "Are you still with Mason?" She asks. I'm taken back by her question. "Yeah, why?" I ask. She shrugs her shoulders. "No reason. Just wondering." She states. Before I get the chance to ask her another question the bell rang. She stepped away from my desk and sat down. I frown. What does that even mean? Does it matter? I wish I could say that it didn't bother me but that's all I could think about for the rest of the day. It was eating at my brain. When I tried to ask Melanie about it she would act like she didn't know what I was talking or completely ignore me. I started to get annoyed with her and myself. I should know better then to listen to Melanie. She was probably just trying to get in my head. Which was working. I force the thought away and gather my books for after school. I close my locker and head towards the school entrance. I stop in my tracks when I see Mason talking to Olivia. It was pretty obvious that she was trying to flirt with him. "Van, you coming?" Brandon asks. I break my gaze away from Mason and Olivia. "Yeah, coming." I reply. I glance over my shoulder once more but they were both gone. Huh? I follow Brandon out of the school and to his car. "Hey, you okay?" Brandon asks. "Huh, yeah. I'm fine." I say automatically. I climb into Brandon's car. Why was Mason even talking to Olivia about? The thought was starting to bother me. "You don't see okay." Brandon muttered. "Yeah, sure." I agree absentmindedly. Maybe, I could as Mason about it at dinner. Yeah, that's what I'll do.
