We all leave our cars in unison. Heading to the hall.
"Does anyone here play foosball?" Karam asks the moment we step in and Sarah and Waleed immediately turn to grin my way.
I squint at Sarah and they all laugh.
"What?" Karam frowns.
"I'm terrible at it." I confess and Waleed and Sarah snicker.
"We'll play!" Sarah announces raising both her and Waleed's hands.
"We need one more." Karam announces and then turns to Karim.
"Do you know how to play?" Karim turns to address Jasmine and I mentally 'Eeek!'
"I used to." Jasmine chuckles lightly.
"We can't be five, Jodie, you're playing." Karam takes my hand and we get going.
Lana and Ziad were already walking towards Ziad's friends who Lana has spotted from afar.
So basically, we stood Karim, Jasmine, and I for the goal keeping part again! But just one handle this time though.
While Karam, Sarah, and Waleed stood across us.
Karam; the one closest to their goal, Sarah; the line of defense, and Waleed; the one keeping us from getting to our goal...
All I needed to focus on was keeping Karam from scoring.
This should be easy...

"Oh!" He scores...
For the fifth time...
"That's it..." I put my hands up and surrender.
Karam bursts in laughter.
"Jodie?" We all turn our heads toward the owner of the voice.
My heart throbs harder.
"Malak! Hey!" I walk to her, away from the foosball table.
"I thought it was you. How are you?" We hug before I'm smiling at her.
"I'm good! How are you? Where's Adham?" I ask and she grins pointing at a billiard table behind her.
Adham catches sight of me and we wave our Hellos.
"Where's Dean?" She asks and my grin hangs.
"Is he working late again?" She asks.
I didn't know what to say, and I made that damn obvious...
"Anyway..." She waves off.
"Friends?" She asks discreetly pointing towards the foosball table and I chuckle glancing at my noisy family.
"The fam bam!" I announce and her mouth forms an O.
"All of them?" She asks and I chuckle shaking my head.
"There's my sister, my best friend, our childhood neighbors, and my sister's boyfriend..." I point out for her and she grins nodding at me.
"Nice!" She chuckles and I nod at her.
"Okay..."
"I guess I'll let you get back to your game then."
"It was really nice bumping into you."
"Let's hang sometime yeah?" She asks and I instantly nod agreeing.
"Of course!" I smile and she smiles back before she starts retreating.
