"Now I know what you're going to say. Why would I go with red, when I could so obviously go with periwinkle blue? But if you just hear me out for a whole five minutes, you would understand that... HEY!!!" She yells horrendously loud as Zephyrus knocks over her visionary board on purpose, sending all her hard work all over the back patio. "God Dammit, Zephyrus James!! Why are you such a dickhead?!"

"Luna Marie Sharpwin- you watch your mouth right now!" Joel steps out of the house with my tea tray in his hands as he yells at his adult sister.

"Yell at that asshole for destroying all my hard for the reception!" She hollers at him and just as Zep is about to kick the board across the ground- Joel- now 30 years old, strapping and 6'5 grabs his young brother by his shoulder and firmly stops him.

"Enough. Both of you. Your mother doesn't want to listen to your buffoonery all afternoon. Zephyrus, go help Jaden with the dogs why don't you." The moppy 21 year old rolls his eyes, pops his headphones on and heads indoors. "Lu, you have to remember that he may be 21, but mentally he's..."

"A fucking idiot." She grumbles as she picks up her board.

"Will you all just get along? I didn't spend nine months in bloody pain with each of you—to listen to you all be a bunch of arseholes to each other." I say as I sip my tea and both of them raise an eyebrow to me and now Max drops his new
paper down so I see his eyebrow raised as well.

"But you didn't birth either of them." Her sweet little voice carries its sarcastic tone from across the garden as my little sweet pea snarks.

"Jasmine Serwa aren't you supposed to be pulling those weeds as punishment for sneaking out after curfew last night?"

"Shut up, Joseph Floyd! You snuck out too!"

"To be fair—you all are pretty stupid if you thought you weren't gonna get caught and ratted on by little miss Prissy pants." Luna jumps in as two out of the four Beans pull weeds from my flower beds.

"Well if Jayla wasn't such a dirty rat, we wouldn't have had to worry about getting caught." Jaden comes out of the house with Zep and just as they, do Jayla comes through the back gate with the empty trash cans.

"Oh everyone shut up- I didn't rat your arses out- you're all such daft numpties that you forget Mum and Dad still have the security cameras on. Idiots." She rolls her eyes as she places the cans where they need to go and pushes her braids over her shoulder.

"If you're so smart then why did you get caught as well?" Jasmine argues with her identical twin. Both having taken to the English accent at a young age- I can't say I don't see myself in them perfectly clear. Out of all four of my quadruplets- the girls are by far the most like me in both looks and attitudes. Joseph's and Jaden of course take after their father- though neither are particular keen on being as nice as him. Then again, that's 17 year olds for you.

"Bloody motion light on the side of the house is new..." Jayla grumbles under her breath and Joel just sits down between Max and I and laughs inwardly at his younger siblings' plights.

"Are you kicking them out yet? Wouldn't it give ya more peace around here?" Joel asks and Max hmmm and ha's.

"That's your mother for ya- can't cut the umbilical cord to save her life."

"Maxim Nathaniel- you best watch yourself or you'll be pulling weeds as well." I state as I sip my tea. "The fact of the matter is, none of you can go a single day without causing some sort of grief. You get it from your father and though most of the time it's geared with good intent..."
