Waking up this morning, I roll and find the bed empty again.

It kind of hurts my heart if I'm being honest.

As much as I complain about the kids being in the bed when I want to snuggle and hold- Max, waking up to them gone with him makes it all the more sad.

Stretching a bit before I slide out of bed, I must say though, sex was amazing last night. For it being the first time in ages- I felt better than I expected. Though I was nervous.

It was like rediscovering your partner.

Feeling them out for the first time and trying to guess what was going to feel the best. Though I find it silly to think about it now.

I do the morning routine as usual and once I head down stairs- I'm surprised to find Max and the kids all in the kitchen- and not already at the Dam.

"Good morning!" I say happily as I walk across the floor in my gray leopard skirt, black chiffon blouse and red heels. My hair is in a half ponytail and my braids in the front are twisted nicely across my forehead and back along the sides.

"Good morning! You look beautiful! Max calls as he stands over the flat stove top at the kitchen island, while the babes are already dressed and eating some pancakes.

"Pancakes- I don't recall buying any the last..."

"I made them. Here- made yours special with your protein in it- blueberry's and a hint of spirilla." I smile at my heart shaped pancakes he's made and I just beam at him.

"Well look at you being the perfect homemaker this morning. Thank you Darling. They smell delicious." I kiss him sweetly on the lips as he cleans the stove and grabs his own plate of breakfast and joins us at the table where neither kid is overly messy and both quite enjoying their food in peace instead of screaming and chucking items at each other or making massive messes- mostly Zep.

"Well...I'm trying to be better." He shyly states and I lean over and kiss his cheek gingerly.

"I appreciate it. Did you even get to do your run?"

"No...but I figured if hot Yoga's good for you—I might as well try it too." I nearly choke on the piece of pancake in my mouth. "You okay? Too much protein?"

"No...no...Hccch...swallowed wrong. You—you want to try hot yoga—with Lauren and I?"

"Well...yeah. I mean how hard is it? It's just yoga right? In a hot room?"

"Haha! Bahahaha!!!" I laugh horribly loud and it startles the kids and Max. "No...no, babe it's not just yoga in a hot room. Haha. It's alright- we'll show you the ways of the force, my young padewan."

"Did you just quote Star Wars?"

"To answer I do not need." I use the Yoda Speech pattern and his mouth just gapes.

"My wife is a sexy nerd." He exclaims with a huge surprised grin on his face.

"Sexy..." Zep says perfectly and we look directly at him.

It took him a while to learn to say words and yet this one he picks up perfectly clear

"Zeppy...no... that's a Daddy word." Max says and Zep begins to pout and just puts another piece of pancake in his mouth.

"Good luck with that- now he's never gonna not say it." I laugh and we continue to eat our breakfast together.

When we're all finished, we get ready to leave. We get both kids in their stroller and Max and I make our way to the Dam. The morning walk nice a breezy with the spring air blowing across the city. Max pushes the stroller and I have an arm wrapped around his right as we go. It's been a while since we've done this. Be together in public with the kids.
