Brought back from the dead

[Sammy POV]

(rain pouring)

I blink tiredly. Everyone else is panicking and running around me.

The rain drowns out most of the sounds.

"Somebody get the bandages...!"

"Guys..."

"Sammy, everything's gonna be okay.."

"You know, some supplies we can get or something...?"

"Does anybody know...?"

"Maybe we should..."

"Where are you...?"

"Sammy! Sammy...!"

"Stop! Where are...?"

"Yaz the quills are...!"

"Okay on my..."

"I'm sorry. This is gonna..."

With a blurry vision, I can just make out Brooklyn and Yaz. They quickly snatch out the quills on my stomach.

I scream in pain and pass out.

[Yaz POV]

I crouch over Sammy and quickly bandage her wounds.

(shivering and moaning)

"Sammy we're here," I softly say. "Everything's gonna be okay."

Tears slide down my cheek.

From behind, Darius says, "Taking out the quills wasn't enough. The poison's already in her system. She needs an antidote."

"Oh, sure, yeah, an antidote," Kenji says sarcastically. "That'll be easy to find, considering no one even knows this exists."

"Maybe the medical supply station has something?"

"Doubt it. Kenji's right. The Scorpious Rex was never supposed to get out."

"The video in Wu's old lab!" Brooklyn exclaims. "He was attacked by the Scorpious, and they were giving him this shot from a red vial!"

Hope flares inside my chest.

"I think they said antidote, but I-"

"Where is this lab?" I shake Brooklyn.

She pulls out a map and gives it to me. "Near the raptor paddock."

I give it back to her determinedly. "Take care of Sammy until I get back."

Pushing through everyone, I rush through the gate door.

Y/N gives me a worried glance as I pass her. "Yaz, the Scorpious Rex went that way."

"I don't care what's out there. I'm saving her."

I run as fast as I can through the damp forest, sometimes slipping on the muddy floor.

(Scorpious Rex roars in the distance)

I hide behind a tree, breathing loudly.

"Hang on Sammy. Just hang on." I pant.

Suddenly, I skid on my feet. In front of me, a large river streams fast.

I gasp and back away.

Groaning, I scold myself. "Come on Yaz! You're really gonna let a little water stop you?!"

Backing away, I shake myself. "Okay..."

I take a running start and jump over the stream.

No luck.
