AN: I hope you like it. I do need to say sorry if this chapter is a little confusing with all the plans. I don't tend to put this much speech in but the next chapter will be his birthday so you'll understand it more.

A month later

Elena's POV

"Right girlies! I need to ask you two for a favour," I said entering the room rather gleefully. Both Caroline and Bonnie turned their heads towards me, intrigued by what I had to say.
"What favour would that be?" Caroline asked.
I walked further into the room. "Do you guys want to help me plan for Stefan's birthday next week?" I asked, hoping they would say yes.
"Yeah, of course. Sounds fun, we could all plan it together," Bonnie said quickly before Caroline could reply. We all knew that if we gave Caroline full responsibility she would go mental into her 'control freak' mode.
My smile broadened. "Great! Do you guys have some time now to help plan?" I asked.
"Yeah we do. Where's Isabella and Stefan?" Caroline asked surprised by the fact that I wasn't with them.
"They're at home. I told Stefan I was coming over to your house because I needed to talk to you guys about something work-related," I explained. I didn't want Stefan to find out that I was planning a birthday party for him because I knew he would be modest about it and say he didn't need one.
"Liar liar pants on fire!" Caroline joked making both Bonnie and I burst out laughing.
"I technically didn't lie, but you know how Stefan is. He won't want me to plan anything for his birthday. But it's my time to show him how much I love him." I said smiling like an idiot, which made them both erupt in 'aw's. I gave a small laugh before sitting myself down on the floor with Caroline and Bonnie.
"Right, so I was thinking that I could take him to dinner and after we could have a small party. Like a small get together. How does that sound?" I asked. I was so nervous about his birthday because it had to go right. I wanted it to be perfect.
"Yeah that sounds great, where do you want to have the party?" Caroline asked, looking as if she was getting more excited by the minute.
"We can have it at mine. I've asked Damon if he'll come up here to take Stefan out for a while on his birthday. This will give us enough time to decorate before I take him to dinner," I explained, proud with my plan.
"Okay, when is Damon going to take Stefan out?" Bonnie asks.
"He said he will from eleven till around half four. Alaric and Jeremy might be coming as well," I said. This had to go right. This was the time for me to show Stefan how much he meant to me. Nothing could go wrong, but I couldn't help but think of everything that could.
"Where's Isabella going to be in all of this?" Caroline asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"She's going to be with us while we decorate but when I take Stefan to dinner, my parents are looking after her. They said they wanted to come and wish Stefan a happy birthday." The thought of my parents being here to celebrate Stefan's birthday brightened my day. They've always treated him like their own son, it just showed what a great person he was. I was so glad my family have accepted Stefan into the family like they have done.
Caroline looked between Bonnie and I. "Aw that's sweet. So if Bonnie and I come round at about ten past eleven, would that be okay?" She asked.
"Yeah that's great, is that okay with you, Bon?" I asked Bonnie. She just smiled and gave a confident nod.
"Great! So what time are you guys going to go out to dinner?" Caroline asked whilst making a mental check list of everything that needed to be done.
"We're going out around five. This will give me enough time to get ready after we've decorated," I smiled, content with our plan.
"Right, so do you want me to get the food? Bonnie could help with food and then you can get the decorations," Caroline stated. I nodded in agreement as a thought came to mind. What if Stefan saw the decorations?
"Can I buy and leave the decorations at yours? I don't want Stefan to see them," I asked. Caroline and Bonnie nodded as we continued to plan everything. We spent about an hour planning until I was content with the arrangements. I got up from the floor and turned to Caroline and Bonnie.
"Thank you so much for your help. I just really hope everything goes right," I said, nerves lacing my tone. I gave them both a hug before walking to the door.
"Elena, don't worry, it'll be great! I won't let anything go wrong," Caroline joked as I gave a small chuckle in reply.
"Right, thank you both so much. I'll see you later," I said as I left. As I shut the door behind me I heard them faintly mutter something to each other. I smiled in excitement to myself as I began to walk home to my beautiful baby girl and the love of my life.

Stefan's POV

Isabella and I had spent about an hour together playing. She particularly liked her soft toy rabbit that we got her when she was born. Her giggles filled the room and her gorgeous smile grew when she saw it. My little girl was happy, that was all that mattered. If I could give her a happy life, then I would count myself as the proudest father ever. I picked up my smiling little girl and placed her on top of her play mat. Feeling the soft mat under her body, she began to wriggle about. I laughed in awe and gazed at her in admiration. I was brought out of my gaze by the sound of the door opening and closing. I waited a few seconds before Elena came into my sight.
She smiled at the two of us. "Hiya." She sat down next to me and I gave her a small kiss before replying.
"Hey, how did everything go with Caroline and Bonnie?" I asked, wrapping my arm around her body.
"Yeah it was good. I missed you though," she said, gazing up at me with a pout. Her words sent shivers racing down my spine. I loved her with all my heart and when I wasn't not with her she was always on my mind.
"I missed you too, more than you'll ever know," I smiled at her and placed a passionate kiss on her soft lips. The kiss lasted about a minute before we reluctantly pulled away for air, she gazed up at me with so much love. I couldn't help but do the same. We were brought out of gaze as Isabella started to whimper and stretch her arms out.
Elena picked her up and cradled her against her chest. "Hey baby," she cooed. Her whimpers immediately stopped once Elena cradled her against her body. I couldn't help but to admire the two of them, they were so perfect together. Isabella always calmed down once she was in Elena's arms. Elena couldn't a better mother even if she tried, she was already the best mother anyone could ever wish for. I simply watched Elena gently rock her back and forth until Isabella fell asleep comfortably in her mother's arms.
After cradling her for a little while longer, she placed her into the Moses basket. "You have a natural talent," I whispered.
She smirked. "I am good," she joked. She sat next to me on the sofa and placed her legs over mine.
"Are you looking forward to your birthday then?" She asked with a smug look on her face.
"No," I said jokingly but with a hint of seriousness in my voice. My birthday was never something I took particular interest in, nor celebrated.
She moved closer to me. "Why not?" She questioned with a laugh. She ended up sitting on my lap, our faces just a few centimetres apart.
"Because I'm already so old, I don't want to get any older," I whined. She giggled a little before she wrapped her arms around my neck.
I could tell she was trying to keep a straight face. "Okay calm down grandpa," she teased and ended up smirking.
"Watch it. Remember you're dating this grandpa," I shot back. There was no point in trying to act serious, a large smirk had already appeared on my face half way through my sentence.
"Yes, and I couldn't be happier, which is why I'm going to make it a great birthday for you," she said as she placed her lips against mine. We shared a long, passionate kiss. My hands slid into her hair, entwining the strands with each of my fingers. She placed her hands on my cheeks, then my neck, as my hands slid down to her waist, holding her closer to me. We both reluctantly pulled away for air as I just gazed into her deep, hazel eyes. Her eyes alone had the power to make me fall in love with her again and again.
"I love you Elena," I said, holding her securely in my arms. She blushed a little and smiled cutely back at me.
Her reply had me smiling like a little kid. "I love you too, always and forever."
If I didn't have my two gorgeous girls in my life, I had no idea what I would do.

AN: Sorry if it's short. Next chapter will be more interesting and after that something really big is going to happen! I can't wait to write it! Thanks for reading!
