When I was living at Southwest in the final week or so of my family living there, before we were evicted, my brother's friend Steve that I hung out with a couple of time called my brother and asked him if he would be able to get into contact with me to help him move. My brother was in Oklahoma at the time, and Steve didn't like other people, so he didn't have anyone else to help him. So my brother called me and I honestly was just going to help out to help out, but he did pay me something like $60 in the end. I don't think Steve went to college, his family worked as mechanics on cars and so when he wasn't working as a male model he was buying and selling cars. At the time of his move he had two cars and the u-hail to drive, so he called up a former co-worker to drive one car while he drove the u-haul, and I the other car. The thing is I weas never taught a single thing from my father, and I was too young at the time to learn anything from my grandfather, so I was asked to drive a car with little to no knowledge of how it functioned. I was 16 and had just gotten my license and had never seen my parents use the parking break before so I had no idea what it was and that it needed to be lowered. The first thing I noticed was when Steve took me to get the u-haul, he drives it back to his apartment and I follow with his car I put it in reverse but when I pressed on the gas it didn't go anywhere. At the time I thought it was a four cylinder car and so old that I needed to give it more gas to get it to go, and so I did. I was never taught about the parking break and even when it was raised up I had no idea what that part of the car did. Anyways
