When I was 3-5 years old the routine had already been established to where all of us kids spent the entirety of the summer with our grandparents, Gerald and Wilma Fluman in Enid Oklahoma. I know my grandparents didn't have a large amount of money to allocate for food, or perhaps they did, regardless my grandfather would help me climb into the dumpster behind the local grocery store and search through for salvageable food or items. I honestly can't remember the quality of what we got or if we ate it, I'm sure we did but we never got sick. As a child this weekly routine of climbing in dumpsters was completely normal to me, I didn't see anything wrong with it. Aside from the grocery stores there were other dumpsters I had to search through after being placed in by Gerald.
