Every member of my family has had poor vision requiring glasses or contacts to be able to see anything at all. My brother being the oldest got contacts first when my family had money, so he never had to experience what I and my sister did when there was no money for new pairs. When my sister was in high school I remember dropping her off in the morning and there was a discussion between her and my mother in regards to her needing new contacts because her glasses were too old. The topic was that my sister had gone days with only one contact lense in her eyes because she couldn't see the board or play tennis with proper vision in only one eye. Contact lenses and glasses were expensive and my entire family had to suffer from not being able to afford the cost, well everyone but Wesley that is.
