Gia rode in the back of the SUV going over everything Giordano had said to her. He had sung like a canary saving his son's life, but poor Max had witnessed the shooting of his father by Gia's hand. He had gone wild with fury and pain and had sworn to end her, which left her with no choice but to put a bullet between his eyes. She had enough enemies, and she didn't need a young man hell bent on revenge added to that list. Carter had dealt with Michelle also neutralizing her as a threat.

By the time the week was over, most of Giovanni's ranked men and their families had been dealt with. It was now a matter of time before Gio stormed the castle, so to speak, wanting answers.

Gia walked inside the house to find Kade on the phone in their office. The serious expression on his face was not what she had wanted to see. She had missed him and all she wanted to do was be with her husband. Feel his strong and loving arms around her.

"I don't fucking care what the hell he told you, this is my fucking Family and my fucking organization and what I say goes!" Kade bellowed into the phone.

She walked towards him, and he pushed the chair out some never taking his eyes off her. He kept on bellowing into the phone as she pulled her dress skirt up and straddled him. She knew he was talking about his father and his insistence on coming back to the McBane Clan as Boss, but Kade was not having it, and neither was Gia.

Kade wrapped his free arm around her waist and grinned at her for a moment before he started cursing whoever was on the phone again.
