August POV-
I looked at Jazmine as she was sleeping and bent down to kiss her neck. I did it again this time letting my lips linger as I pulled away.
"What's wrong ?" She quickly sat up rubbing her eyes.
"Nothing." I pecked her lips.
She looked at the clock. It blinked 5am.
"Then why you wake me up August? Don't do that."'she yawned. "Especially at this hour when I have to be up with you in a few to make sure you take your medicine." She plopped her head back down and drifted off to sleep.
It had been a month since my transplant and I wasn't 100, but I was close to 90. And that was all in thanks to my bum who never left my side. And now that I could move around without pain, I wanted to repay her with a surprise.
But I didn't know what. She was never straight forward with me when I would probe her about things she wanted. She would simply say, "that I was better."
But I knew deep down there was more she wanted. But she was like a puzzle trying to figure out. But one person did know.
I quietly left out the room, threw on some clothes and got in my range. I dialed the number on my speaker car system as I rolled around the neighborhood.
"This betta be Jesus calling me this damn early." DJ sighed and yawned.
"Sorry but I had something to ask you before Jazz woke up."
"And you couldn't find another time to contact me."
