90. Phone call

I get dressed then put my jacket on. I go downstairs and the phone rings. I pick it up "hello" i say "hey glam" Sadie says. Sadie didn't sound like herself "is everything ok" i ask worried "glam I'm sorry" Sadie says "for what" i say back confused. Everything goes silent the kind of silence that didn't feel right "Sadie what's going on" i say "I'm sorry, i can't take it anymore, i wanted to wait till you were safe" Sadie says "Sadie" i say back feeling my stomach drop and fear fill my mind "i didn't want you to see this happen, stay safe punk" Sadie says "Sadie stop messing around" i say back "never forget me, i love you" Sadie says before hanging up "Sadie" i say. I quickly call her back but she didn't pick up. I keep calling but nothing. I try not to panic hoping she was joking. A part of me knew she wasn't joking. I sit against the wall trying to process what just happened. I close my eyes trying to go to the void. I open my eyes and quickly try to find Sadie. I find her unconscious on the floor. I quickly try to wake her up but nothing was working. I pull her onto my lab and start to cry. I hold onto her not wanting to let go. After a few minutes i hear the sound of a door opening. I open my eyes and see dad standing in the doorway. "Why is he here" i think. I get up and smell alcohol "grate" i think. "Dad just fucking leave" i say "or what" dad says slurring his words "the cops will be called" i say back. Dad gets closer to me and i step back trying to stay out of his reach. I end up running into the wall. Before i tried to go in the different Direction dad had already cornered me. "Your fucking drunk, so leave" i say "just because you moved doesn't mean i will stay away" dad says "your also in my house, I'm not afraid to have you put in jail" i say back "you always say that" dad says "i don't have to fear you anymore" i say back "you also think you know everything" dad says. "It's like fucking fighting with Vecna" i think. I try to get passed dad but he pushes me back against the wall. I gave up on trying to protect myself knowing what was going to happen no matter what. Dad hits me and hear someone yell. I look passed dad and see Skyler. I want for dad to turn around then i run to Skyler. She keeps me behind her as dad gets closer to us. "Glam go upstairs" Skyler says "your going to get hurt" i say back "no i won't" Skyler says. I quickly run upstairs to the bedroom and lock the door behind me. After a few minutes i hear a knock on the door. I unlock it and see Skyler. She walks in closing the door behind her. "You alright" she asks "for the most part yes" i say back "i see he hit you pretty hard" she says "that's how he's always hit me" i say back "well the cops are on the way, so yeah" she says. She goes back downstairs and i sit on the bed. After what felt like forever Skyler comes back and i get up. "No more fearing your dad" she says "thanks" i say back "anytime" she says i laugh. We go downstairs and Skyler leaves. I leave billy a note letting him know where i was before going to my car. The sun was starting to set "the days feel like there getting shorter" i think. I drive to the beach since around this time barley anyone was there. I see myself in the rear view mirror. I still had a red mark on the side of my face. I park and put my hood up. I realized i had put Sadie's jacket on. I try not to think about anything. I get out and walk onto the sand. I sit down just out of the reach of the water. I watch the waves. After a few minutes the sun was gone. The moonlight hit the water perfectly. I rest my arms on my knees and light a cigarette. I feel a familiar presence beside me. "Everything alright" billy asks "no" i say back "what's wrong" billy asks worried "Sadie's gone, i couldn't save her this time" i say back trying not to cry. Billy pulls me closer to him and i give up on fighting crying. I hold onto his arm and he rests his head on mine. After a few minutes i finally calm down and pull away. I look at billy "thanks" i say wiping the tears off my face "Anytime" billy says. I take my hood off and try to get my breathing back to normal. I turn to face billy. He puts his hand on the side of my face and i flitch at the pain. Billy quickly moves his hand "what happened" billy asks "my dad" i say back "is that why people were asking why the cops were at the house" billy says "yeah" i say back. "Did he hit you" billy asks i nod "he's in jail now so hopefully he'll leave me alone" i say back "he ever comes near you again I'm going to make him regret it" billy says i laugh "your cute when you act tough" i say back "be quiet" billy says sarcastically. "At least Sadie's with her dad now" i say looking back at the water. I get up and put my hand out to billy. Billy holds my hand and gets up. "Let's go home before this day gets anymore worse" i say. We head back to are cars. We get in and i follow billy home. We park then go inside. "I stoped at the store on my way home and go you something" billy says "I'm interested" i say back following billy into the kitchen. Billy hands me a box of cereal "you know the way to my heart" i say smiling "i remember your favorite of everything" billy says "not everything" i say back "let's see" billy says. I sit on the counter and billy stands beside me. "Favorite color" i say "easy blue" billy says "animal" i say back "demogorgon counts" billy says "person" i say back "me" billy says "season" i say back "fall" billy says "activity" i say back "spray painting" billy says "time of the night" i say back "three in the morning" billy says "thing" i say back "my dick" billy says "fuck your good" i say back "told you" billy says smiling. Billy looks at my wrist "how did i never see your number went we met" billy asks "i always had three bracelets on that arm to cover it up" i say back "i always wanted to ask you why you had that many on but never did" billy says "it only took a few months for you to get the answer" i say back. "Not to sound rude but your handling what happened today well" billy says "it's not the first time Sadie died, she's tried to end it before, she always said she would be gone one day, i knew this day was coming but i couldn't do anything about it" i say back "sorry" billy says "don't be" i say back. Billy opens the freezer and takes something out. Billy puts an ice pack on the side of my face. "Your a dick" i say "you'll be fine" billy says. I try to move my head away from it but billy puts his hand on the other side of my face. I roll my eyes and accept that I'm stuck like this for a few minutes. Billy finally lets go then goes back to the fridge. I hear Sadie's voice and look around. Everything goes black and i start to panic. I look around waiting for Vecna to show up. I look behind me and see Sadie. "I'm not falling for your game!" I yell. I see ash walk out from behind Sadie "fuck billy put my headphones on me" i think. I try to move but i couldn't. They start walking circles around me not saying a word. Vecna walks up to me then they get behind him. "I'm not falling for your sick game" i say. I feel a sharp pain then everything goes back to normal. I see billy with a worried look on his face. I hear music and look beside me. There were probably five cassettes on the counter. I take my headphones off "everything normal" billy asks "yeah" i say back "Vecna again" billy says "he's using Sadie against me now" i say back "so he uses people you knew that died against you" billy says "yeah, mostly ash but now Sadie" i say back. I get up and grab my cassettes. Billy follows me upstairs and into the bedroom. I put my stuff back and billy changes. I see that billy lit a candle. "Don't even think about it" billy says "how the fuck do you know what I'm thinking" i say back "you have fire powers, it's common sense that you would use them on any flame you see" billy says "fuck you" i say back. I look thru my clothes and find something to wear. "I swear you only change shirts" billy says "i own like seven pairs of black jeans" i say back "that explains why that's the only color of jeans i see you in" billy says. I get changed then get in bed. I sit facing billy "your giving me a concerning look" billy says "i just like looking at you" i say back trying not to laugh "then i would like info about this getting you to lose control of your powers" billy says "i just have to get pissed off to the point i want to murder someone, which that's not hard" i say back "so say we get caught and we almost get killed, i just have to say anything that will piss you off" billy says "pretty much" i say back "now what pisses you off" billy says "mostly brenner and Luke" i say back "well that will be easy" billy says. "Heads up, all you have to do is inject someone in the neck with the drug they use" i say "already knew that" billy says "forgot you had to use it on me" i say back "anything else i should know" billy says "fight like your life's on the line, because we will most likely be separated, and till I can get to you, you need to do anything to keep yourself safe" i say back "what about you" billy says "I'll be fine" i say back. I get an idea "put your arm out" i say. Billy dose as told and i take my marker out of my pocket. I put my arm beside his and take the cap off. I draw a dice on each arm then put my marker back. "I'm trusting you with my life" i say "I'm probably the only person you can trust" billy says "pretty much" i say back. I fall asleep then wake up to banging on the front door. I get up and look at the clock it was 2:18 am. I get a bad feeling so i grab my pocket knife off the dresser before going downstairs. I open the door and Skyler walks in then quickly closes the door behind her. "Skyler it is the middle of the night" i say "there here" she says "who" i say back "the new doctor, your dad told them where you are" she says "i should have stuck with my trust no one role" i say back "and moms in on it to" she says "lovely" i say back sarcastically. "Please tell me you have a plan" she says "the only plan is to keep billy safe, other then that I'm just going to do what me and Jamie would do when we were on the run from the cops" i say back "are you trying to die" she says "i should have been dead years ago" i say back "your not in Hawkins anymore, you can't break every law" she says "watch me" i say back. I go back upstairs before Skyler tried to ask more questions. I get back in bed and try to go back to sleep.
