When you fall asleep waiting for them by inkkoya

jake

The sound of rain tapping against the window woke me from a restless sleep. I sat up in bed, feeling the weight of exhaustion settling in my bones. rubbing my eyes and glancing at the clock on my nightstand. 3:47 a.m. Where was he? Jake was supposed to be home hours ago.

I pushed back the covers and padded to the window, peering through the rain-splattered glass for any sign of his car. Nothing.

4:00 am.

I was tired and sleepy, but I refused to go to bed until he got home. The clock on the wall read 4:30 pm, and I could barely keep my eyes open.

Suddenly, the sound of the front door opening jolted me awake. I rubbed my eyes and looked up to see Jake walking through the door. He looked exhausted, his hair disheveled, and his eyes dark circles under them. I could tell he had a long day at work.

He walked over to me, and I noticed a smile form on his lips as he saw me waiting for him. I tried to get up to greet him, but my eyes were still heavy with sleep. I fell back onto the couch, snuggling into the cushions.

Jake sat down next to me and leaned over, placing a gentle kiss on my forehead. "I'm sorry I made you wait," he said softly. "Work was crazy today."

I could feel his fatigue radiating off of him, and I knew that he needed to rest. "It's okay," I said reassuringly. "You must be exhausted. Why don't you go get some rest?"

Jake nodded, looking grateful for the suggestion. He got up and walked towards the bedroom, giving me one last smile before he disappeared behind the door.

As I heard him settle down on the bed, I closed my eyes, feeling content knowing that he was home safe and sound. I soon fell back into a peaceful sleep, the sound of Jake's breathing lulling me into a deep slumber.

Jay

As I lay on the couch, I felt my eyelids growing heavy. It had been a long day, and I was exhausted. I checked my phone for the hundredth time, hoping to see a message from my boyfriend telling me he was on his way home. But there was still no word from him.

The sound of the ticking clock on the wall was soothing, and I felt myself drifting off.

I snuggled deeper into the couch cushions, feeling warm and cozy. Outside, the streetlights were starting to flicker on, casting a soft glow into the living room.

As I drifted off, I dreamed of my jay's smiling face. I imagined him walking through the door, his arms open wide to greet me. I felt a sense of peace wash over me, knowing that he would be home soon.

But my dreams were soon interrupted by the sound of the front door opening. I stirred, half-awake, and turned to see Jay standing in the doorway."I'm home."

He looked tired but happy to see me. "I thought that you will be asleep by now baby."I smiled sleepily and mumbled a greeting, before drifting off once more into a peaceful slumber.

heeseung

As I sat on the edge of the bed, I couldn't help but yawn. It was already past midnight, and heeseung still hadn't come home. I checked my phone for any messages or missed calls, but there was nothing. I felt a little worried but decided to wait a bit longer.

The soft glow of the bedside lamp illuminated the room, and the sound of the ticking clock was the only thing keeping me company. I lay down on the bed, pulling the covers over me. I stared up at the ceiling, my mind drifting as I waited for him.

Despite my efforts to stay awake, my eyelids grew heavier and heavier. The last thing I remember was the faint sound of a car engine outside before I fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up to the sound of the door creaking open. I opened my eyes, rubbing them to clear the sleep away. There, standing in the doorway, was my boyfriend. He looked apologetic as he tiptoed into the room, trying not to wake me up.

He leaned down and whispered in my ear, "I'm sorry, love. I got held up at work. Please don't wait for me next time. You go to bed baby."

sunghoon

The door creaked open as Sunghoon entered the room, his footsteps slow and heavy. I was fast asleep on the couch, my breathing steady and even. He took off his shoes and quietly walked over to me, taking in the sight of me sleeping peacefully.

He looked tired and worn out, his eyes heavy with exhaustion. I stirred slightly as he sat down next to me, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder. He let out a deep sigh, the stress of the day clearly visible on his face.

"Hi, baby," I mumbled.

He returned my smile, but I could tell he was struggling to keep his eyes open. "Hey," he replied, his voice low and tired.

I sat up, yawning and stretching. "How was work?" I asked, sensing the weariness in his voice.

He leaned back on the couch, his eyes closing for a moment. "Long," he said simply. "It's been a rough day."

I took his hand in mine, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'm sorry," I said sympathetically. "Do you want to talk about it?"

He shook his head, his eyes still closed. "No, not right now. I just want to rest for a bit."

I nodded understandingly, realizing that he needed some time to decompress. I leaned my head against his shoulder, feeling his warmth and comfort. We sat in silence for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company.

Eventually, he opened his eyes, looking down at me with a smile. "Thanks for waiting for me," he said softly. "I don't know what I would do if you weren't here with me."

I smiled back at him, feeling grateful for the chance to be there for him when he needed me. "Of course," I said. "I'm always here for you."
