He had miraculously come back from the brink
Even when it seemed his death was inevitable........
Yukari curled into almost a ball-like shape as she snuggled up next to Carm,
Never letting him go for so much as a second
Carm just sat in the bed, completely blindsided by what insanity had just happened,
One second he was fighting a Nazi supertank that had somehow gotten teleported through time and space, and the next, he was in a hospital, with Yukari laying down in his lap
Her face had the warmest smile as she faded off to sleep, still having her arms wrapped around him.
It was slightly weird.... he hasn't exactly been this extremely close to a girl before,
It was way better than being dead though! That's for sure.

"Witnesses claim that the German tank vanished into thin air after he took the fall" The news reporter said
He and Yukari were both on the bed, they had been watching the news and for around an hour now.
They were both dead tired
Their faces were slathered with dirt and oil
And they were both quite injured, there was no way they'd be able to fight in tanks for a while now.
But that didn't exactly matter to the two, they were just happy to have each other.
"We are still awaiting the status of his health" The news reporter said
"Alive and well!" Carm yelled at the TV
Yukari giggled a little bit, remembering how incredibly scared she got over how close to death he was.
It was nighttime outside, the moon hung over the earth like a glowing ornament.
Yukari's parents arrived to pick her up, opening the door to the room where Carm was being treated.
But then they got an eyeful of her, and her (now conscious) friend both in the bed watching TV,
They decided it was best not to interfere, both parents smiled warmly as they closed the door, preferring to leave them together for a few hours.

As they watched the TV news person recount the exploits they'd only just recently done, Yukari ended up fading off to sleep,
He'd wondered if her hands had been getting cramps for holding him for hours on end,
it turns out she was fine, but she would likely not care if she got cramps
"Please never go....." Yukari muttered subconsciously.
"Oh... don't you worry, I ain't going anywhere......" Carm said
