"Alright, DJ. Let's see how the boys are doing. How are you feeling?" the doctor asked as he came into the room.

"Tired.... exhausted... everything hurts..." I replied.

By now many, many hours had passed. I didn't know exactly how many, but it was already the middle of the night. I carefully lay back in bed so that the doctor could examine me.

"You're at 7 centimeters. And the babies' heartbeats are still good. It's progressing, but very slowly. Maybe it's time to consider the possibility of a C-section." he doctor said.

"That's out of the question," I gasped as the next contraction came.

Roman lay down behind me and rubbed my back supportively. It was hard for him to see me in pain, but he did his best to support me and not let on.

"Maybe that's a good idea, baby girl." my husband said quietly behind me.

"No, it isn't. A C-section is still surgery. And I'm not going to be cut open unless I or the babies are not doing good. But you said yourself we're fine. I'm not going to let you operate on me just because it fits better into your schedule. These days, unnecessary and rushed C-sections are done far too often. I won't do it. Unless it becomes medically necessary. The babies just need more time." I groaned as I slowly breathed through the pain.

"It was just a suggestion, DJ. Relax. We can reevaluate the situation at any time." the doctor replied in an almost apologetic manner.

"Thank you." I sighed.

"Maybe we'll try something new. Get on your knees and support yourself with your elbows on the gymnastics ball. Then let your pelvis circle slowly. That may help the babies." he suggested.

"I'll try. Even though I feel like something like this is what got me into this situation in the first place." I replied as I lowered myself to the ground with Roman's help.

"You're doing so well, baby girl. I'm so proud of you." said Roman over and over.

I was so happy to have him by my side. Even though I would have preferred it if he was in my place and had to push the babies out. I tried to get as much oxygen into my body as possible because I could already feel the next contraction.

"Why did I want to have children? Please remind me never to do that again." I grunted.

"Because you love kids and you want a family of your own just like I do. You're so close and then you can hold the two most beautiful little boys in your arms. And in that second, it will have all been worth it. Our boys love and need their Mama. I love you so much for being so damn strong," my husband replied as he wiped my forehead with a cold washcloth.

"I knew I had a weakness. You and your irresistibility." I grumbled as I collected myself.

"Okay, DJ.... Push!" the doctor said again.

I did what he said, but had a hard time not screaming the whole time. I quickly had realized that screaming didn't help a bit, but just cost more energy. So I concentrated on the thought of holding not one but two perfect little boys in my arms. Boys who, if I was lucky, were just like their daddy. Although I knew that Roman wanted a copy of me. For me there was nothing better than to get my husband in a mini version though.

"One more, DJ and you can say hello to your first boy!" the doctor then said.

I pushed as hard as I could while crushing Roman's hand. My nails dug into his palm but he didn't comment but just kept cheering me on.

"There he is!" we heard the doctor over the deafening cries of our firstborn.

Carefully, he placed the little man on my chest and tears immediately began to gather in my eyes. He was even more perfect than I could have imagined.

"Happy birthday. I'm your Mama, sweetie!" I whispered as I placed a kiss on the baby's forehead.

"Look at him, Dani. Look what we did." said Roman softly and then gently stroked his son's tiny forehead.

"The next one won't wait. DJ... We'll take your son and wash and weigh him. The second baby will be here in a minute." he told us after what felt like 30 seconds.

"You're almost there!" encouraged Roman.

One last time I pushed with everything I had. And thank God it was enough. Now the strong voice of our other little one could be heard. When I looked at him I knew it was all worth it. Now I was actually a mother of the two most beautiful boys in the world. They definitely took after their father. I had no doubt about that.

"Happy birthday to you too, my little potato." I said as I held my son in my arms.

"I love you! And our boys! You did so great and now they are here. Thank you!" sniffled Roman before giving me a long kiss.

"We love you too, daddy. Don't we, little man?" I replied as I looked first at my husband and then at the baby in my arms.

"Okay.... here's your number one. We'll get the second one ready and you'll get him right back." the nurse said as she placed our other son in Roman's arms.

After they took the baby from my arms, I followed her movements closely and knew that he was in the best hands. Just like his slightly older twin, who lay in the arms of his father and looked so small.

------------

"Congratulations you two! God, look how tiny they are!" said Pat as she and Roman's sisters came into the room.

After we left for the hospital, Roman called them excitedly to let them know that it was happening. Although they could have waited for the news at our house, they insisted on staying here in the waiting room.

"Good job, Pumpkin." said Summer as she hugged me gently.

"Thanks, Summer!" I replied tiredly but happily.

"Do they have names yet?" asked Vanessa as she looked closely at her new nephews.

Roman had one baby in his arms while sitting on the bed next to me and I was holding the other baby. It was so beautiful. And I couldn't get enough of their little round faces and those tiny fingers.

"They do. But we don't know who's who yet. Here we have Henry Rome and Carson Daniel Reigns." said Roman proudly.

"Which one of you is Henry, huh? Are you a little Henry?" I asked the baby in my arms and like on cue he opened his eyes and looked at me.

"I think we have a volunteer." I said laughing and leaning my forehead against Ro's shoulder.

"Well... welcome to the world and welcome to our crazy family, Henry and Carson. We love you and your parents so much. And if it wasn't for me, your Auntie Summer, you wouldn't exist." replied Summer, making us all laugh.
