chapter twenty four the choice

Atonino's pov

I'm lying here next to the two love's of my life , my lovely son, and my beautiful wife , as i'm lying here ,i suddenly feel my phone vibrate in my pant's pocket , i pull it out of my pocket and see the caller id , it's Doctor Small , i use my vampire speed to get off the bed and down the stair's

Once downstair's i answer my phone " salut Doctor Mici " (hello Doctor Small) i wait "salut printul meu" (hello my prince) i hope he has good news for me , about me being able to change her into a vampire seeing that my  baby is part dragon " poate fi sotia mea sa schimbat intr-un vampir" (can my wife be changed into a vampire) do i want to know the answer "da-mi printul ea poate fi schimbata" (yes my prince ,she can be changed ) i smile " multumesc va fi rapid " (thank you, will it be quick ) i can now hear him moving paper " da domnul meu am mai putin de ora" ( yes my lord, less than an hour )

I'm pleased she can be changed, i thank him again and i hang up , i put my phone on the coffee table and sit on the sofa and think through everything , that is to come and everything that has happened between us

I suddenly feel a warm hand on my shoulder , i turn to see Gina , she is holding Toni jr "elo copilul meu " (hello my baby ) she smile's "elo iubirea mea " ( hello my love ) i smile " cum te simti " ( how are you feeling ) she give's me our son and walk's into the kitchen a few second's later she come's in with Toni jr's bottle " multumesc mult mai bine , te simti bine " ( much better thank you , are you okay ) i nod my head as i give our son his bottle of blood " da im copilul bine " ( yes , i'm okay baby ) and i am , apart from the fact , that i'm worried about her

Gina's pov

I have just open my eye's after a long nap , i realise i'm alone apart from our son , there is no sign of Toni , Toni jr cry's he is hungry , so i pick him up and go to find Toni , yes i know i could call to him but , i need to move around , so i walk out of the bedroom and along the landing and  down the stair's with our son in my arm's , i find Toni sat on the sofa look sad and alone , he look's like he has the weight of the world on his shoulder's

I touch him and he look's at me we exchange word's and then i go and get our son's bottle and hand it to him , we say a few more thing's to each other and then i go to make myself something to eat

Toni come's in a few moment's later with our son , who is now in his car seat , he place's the seat on the table and he kisses me on the head , i then watch as he walk's to the fridge and goes through it , i smile as i watch him "ce cauteti" ( what are you looking for ) he look's at me and grin's

" ceu a de mancare " ( something to eat) i shake my head , well he ain't doing a very good job " place ceea ce " ( like what) he look's back at the fridge and pull's some bread out " un sandwich pot sa-l voi odihni pe voi " ( a sandwich , i can get it, you rest ) god you would think i was ill , not that i had just had a baby " im bine lasa-ma sa-l "( i'm okay, let me get it ) he nod's and walk's back over to the table , i get up and go to the fridge " copil bine un sandwich cu carne de vita ar fi frumus" ( okay baby, a beef sandwich would be nice ) i romove the beef from the fridge and a plate from the cupboard and a knife from the draw i make his sandwich and take it over to him and i sit and eat my ham and cheese sandwich

Antonino's pov

I feel bad , i'm treating her like she is an invalid , i believe that is the human expression , i know  that  i'm wrapping her up in cotton wool , i don't mean to , it just that she gave birth 6 hour's ago , but to see her you would think it was day's ago

I want to ask her if she is willing to let me change her into a vampire , i know she has no choice , but i would pefer to have her permission , then just change her

I would also like to try and help her found out about her grandmother , i will ask my mother when we return to romania , as my mother was a dragon , she was born one but then one day she fell in love with a vampire , my father he gave her immortal , her gift is the call of the dragon's so she can stay in touch with her family and friend's

We move from the kitchen to living room , i pick up our son , who is asleep in his car seat and we go to the sofa and sit down side by side this will be more comfortably place to talk

Here goes , i'm about to ask her if she will let me change her " copil am novoie sa te intreb cera" ( baby , i need to ask you something ) she look's at me " ce este dragostea mea ce ceste gresit " ( what is it my love , what's wrong) how can i ask her what i'm about to , nothing is wrong my baby , i just want to ask you if you will let me change you into a blood sucking monster ,a creature of the night , damn for all eternity to walk this earth , to watch the the one's you love die knowing you can never die , i want you to give up your mortal soul , to become immortal , so i never have to lose you , hell that sound's bad even to me

Before i know what i'm doing , i say " va lasa-mi-va transforma intr-un vampir" ( will you let me turn you into a vampire ) it was to soon , i know that now , but it's to late . the word's are out , i'm about to say more when she say's " poate ma gradesc la ea dragostea mea " ( can i think about it my love ) i nod , yes it was to soon " da copilul meu " ( yes my baby )

Gina's pov

We are now sat in the living room , it's more comfortable after eating , we are sat side by side on the sofa when Toni ask's me if i will let him turn me into a vampire , i knew it was going to happen soon ,but for him to ask me know maybe it will be in a few day's , rather than in a few week's , but maybe i have a choice

I decide to ask Toni if i do have a choice " Toni am o alegere" ( do i have a choice ) he look's at the floor , he look's sad , i have my answer " dar nu voi da sousa de a alege cand si unde " ( no , but i will give you the chance to choose when and where ) i nod, i was right " Toni am nevoie sa cred vite dupa ce fiul nostru in timp ce am mers in grandina " ( Toni , i need to think , look after our son , while i walk in the garden ) he nod's and i get up and leave him and our son

I walk through the kitchen and out the back door , and into the garden , once outside ,i walk around enjoying the fresh air , and thinking about every thing that has happened between me and Toni , i do want to be with him forever  " then why worry about it " great i'm talking to myself again

" i'm not worried , i'm scared of dying " i am also interested in finding out , what happened to grand mother when she disappeared and why she disappeared , anything that can link me to my mother's side of the family

I do want to be a vampire , as i want to be with my love forever , it's just the thought of dying and maybe not waking up , i trust him , it's just my stupid fear

I heard Toni and his father talking before the wedding , what i mean is Toni's guard was down and i was able to get into his mind , and i heard Arturo say that the coronation will be in 3 month's from today , so we have 2 month's , it's all because there is two coven's at war , and they need me to control the weather so i can end the war

i have , i think , made my mind up , no , i have made my mind up , i will go through the change , but i want it done as soon as posible , once we are back in romania

I walk back into the house to tell Toni , i have made my mind up , that im ready to go through the change , i see him looking at our son , he look's so sad " Toni te iubesc " ( Toni i love you ) he look's up at me " eu te iubesc " ( i love you too) i smile  "cat va dura " ( how long will it take ) i don't need to explain , he know's what i mean " sunt mai putin de ora de ce copilul " ( less than an hour , why baby) i can feel his eye's searching my soul for the answer i'm about to give him " i'm gata " ( i'm ready ) his eye's light up " esti sigur" ( are you sure) i nod "da"( yes) we hug and kiss soon it will be time to go home to romania
