chapter twenty three life, love and family

Antonino's pov

I have phoned Doctor Small , he say's , he will get here in 30 minute's , i think Gina is in labour , she also seem's to be in a lot of pain , i feel useless ,i want to help but i just don't know what to do

I hear a knock at the door and i shimmer to see who it is, as i open the door ,i see Doctor Small , thank the fate's he has arrived , we both shimmer upstair's together , he start's to check Gina , he then turn's to me " Toni my prince , i think you should leave " i shake my head " no i'm not leaving her "

She look's at me and nod's for me to leave , i give in and leave , i shimmer back in to the living room , i can hear my baby screaming in pain , i want to go back to her , but i wont , so i start to pace back and forth , i feel like i've been doing this for hour's , but i think it's just minute's , i'm about to give in and go to her, when i hear footstep's on the stair's heading toward's me

Doctor Small walk's up to me and smile's , i ask him " well " he pat's me on the back " well, my prince , you are a father of a very heathly son, and your wife is fine and strong" i smile , i can't help it ,i'm a father "can i see them now " he nod's and i run upstair's

Gina's pov

I have been in labour just over half an hour , with the help of Doctor Small , i have just given birth to a heathly baby boy , he's beautiful , he's prefect , i cant believe it, i have a  baby son

The Doctor ask's if he could take some of my blood to test , i agree , he take's some of my son's blood first , then he take's mine , after he take's mine and he leave , it hit's me , he will find my mother's secret , it's to late now

I get up and dress in a long flowing flowery dress and then , i pull out of my suitcase a blue vest , and sleepsuit and some nappie's and i dress my son , Doctor Small left me with a bottle of blood to feed him as he need's , blood to live

I then hear a knock at the door "come in Toni " i know it's him , the door open's and he come's in , with so much love in his eye's and a smile on his face " how are you my baby " i smile , i feel great " we are both fine my love " he come's over to the bed and, i pat the side next to me , he come's and sit's next to me and i pass him our new son and a bottle of blood ,so he can feed our son

As he feed's our son he turn's and ask's me "baby what are we going to call our new son " i smile , i still can't get over the fact that i'm a mother " how about Antonino after his father and Fabiano after his uncle " he smile's at me " i like that , so Antonino Fabiano jr , it is " we kiss and Toni jr moan's as the bottle , has slipped out of his mouth

Doctor Small's pov

I'm testing the baby's blood, first i match Toni's DNA to the baby's , prefect match , i then test it to Gina's , no match , the child is 100% vampire , the only thing that can cause this sort of DNA match up is dragon's DNA

I move on to test Gina's blood , to test her DNA , to see if there is any vampire in it , i'm shocked , no vampire DNA , but then it show's me a DNA , i haven't seen in 500 year's , it's not from her father , as he was 100% human before Arturo changed him , so that only leave's her mother

I go upstair's to find some answer's from princess Gina and to tell them , that both mother and son are unique

I knock on the door , i hear come in , so i go in " prince Toni , princess Gina i need to speak to you both " i say as i bow to them "okay Doctor Small , what is it " i look at Toni , as he was the one who spoke to me " my lord your child is unique , he has all you DNA and none of your's my lady " i say to her, Toni look's at me with a confused look on his face , but Gina just look's at the floor , she know's why "how is this possible " Toni ask's , i look at Gina " well my lord , your wife is also unique " Toni turn's to Gina " baby what does he mean " she look's at me " you know my mother's family secret , is that why my son is a pure blood " i nod " yes my lady it is " she sigh's

"i'm sorry Toni , it's part of my great grand mother's past , 500 year's ago my great grand mother fell in love with a dragon lord and he bit her and changed her she went on to have children , but only the girl's of our family are effected " i nod my understanding " do you  know what happened to any of the children my lady " she shake's her head " no they vanished without a trace " i nod " i will do my best to try and find out for you my lady " she nod's and thank's me , i bow and leave them to talk

Antonino's pov

I didn't know that , why didn't she tell me before , she is my life ,my love , my world , she has dragon's DNA , and we have dragon's blood , maybe that was what , was calling to me that night in the wood's

" Baby why didn't you tell me" she look's at me " i didn't think it was important " i sigh " everything about you is important to me " she kisses me " look my love it was a long time ago , all i know is that my great grandmother married a dragon lord called Rex , they had two children i think , anyway my grand mother was they first child , she had my mum , when my mum was three she left her at a church , my mum grow up in foster care , no one has seen her since " i nod "tell me what you can " she nod's

" Mum was 18 year's old ,she had just left foster care , a year later she had beppe , he was tested no sign of the dragon's DNA , then 10 year's later Fabiano , again no dragon's DNA , 9 year's later me , i was tested , it was found that i had the dragon's DNA so i'm 70% human , 30% dragon " i nod , wow her mother must have been going through hell worrying about which one, if any of them would carry her family's secret

I get up and pass her our son and kiss her on the head she look's tired out " baby get some sleep while Toni jr is sleeping " she nod's her head and yawn's and lie's down , i leave then and go down stair's to phone Sol to tell him

I pull up his number ,it ring's twice " hi bro , what time you landing " i sigh, yes i should be on my way home tomorrow "Sol , i wont be home until sunday or monday " he say's something to my mama " why Toni " i smile " i have a son " i hear him shouting it out " well congrat's bro , what is he called " i'm happy that Fabiano will be with her in away " we have decided to call him Antonino Fabiano jr " Sol tell's everyone then , i hear congrat's and give Gina our love , i say , i will and hang up , i phone and ask Doctor Small to see if she can be changed in to a vampire

I go upstair's to see her and baby Toni , they are both asleep , so i lie beside her
