Ch.18

Whatever magic you pulled, you weren't able to do it again. It wasn't like Hoseok's skill that you gained. The ability to teleport just wasn't working no matter how hard you tried to focus. Seokjin suggested pretending to drown you, but you felt like you've had more than enough of that already. Being held underwater was not worth it. You'll bring this new power up to Jungkook and hopefully you'll be able to use it again when you desire. For now, you got out of the water and waited for Seokjin to dry up. The two of you would be walking back to the castle rather than appearing out of thin air. Unfortunately, you were not that advanced of a sorceress yet.

On the bright side, Seokjin didn't trip once when walking back. His balance has improved significantly thanks to his determination. He did have to rest against a tree on the occasion. The muscles in his legs still weren't used to this. Eventually Seokjin will be able to walk just fine like the rest of you. Honestly, even walking to the castle was a huge accomplishment. Seokjin was thrilled and exhausted by the time the both of you arrived. He almost didn't want to climb up the stairs standing up. Thankfully, you pushed him to keep going until he found a chair.

Seokjin was doing just fine. You? That was a different story. Seokjin had already dried up and was perfectly fine compared to your drenched form. There was no way you would have been able to completely dry in the time it took him to dry. You were still shaking from the cold breeze that would pass by. Each of the layers you wore were terribly soaked and you knew some of the mucky water was lingering on you. It would be best for you to take off this dress, bathe, and put on another dress. You weren't the only one who thought so.

"(F/n)! What happened?" Taehyung brought his hands up to his mouth. Both him and Jimin had been playing by the entrance but stopped immediately. They were stunned to see you soaked to the bone. You were trembling and creating a puddle at your feet.

"Did Seokjin do this to you?" Jimin hurried by your side. He examined your wet dress, sucking in a breath to see just how heavy the layers were. It looked that bad to him too? "You'll get sick if you stay in these any longer."

"We'll search for something for you to change into!" Taehyung nodded his head. He assured you with a sweet smile and you did your best to give him one back. "But you should take a bath as well."

"Do you know where the bath is?" Jimin asked.

"We'll have to ask Namjoon." Taehyung shrugged.

"Okay! We'll ask Namjoon first and hopefully you'll get out of this smelly thing soon." Jimin gently patted your shoulder before grimacing at his wet hand. It wasn't even your fault that you were drenched, but you felt embarrassed. What a way to come back to the castle.

At least Taehyung and Jimin were as nice as they could be about it. You were aware the mucky water didn't leave the best scent on you. A good amount was thankfully washed off from the lake that Seokjin used to live at. It still wasn't enough to stop Namjoon from scrunching his nose the second he was brought to you. The pixie and fairy were doing all the talking for you as the prince eyed you in confusion. Once Namjoon heard enough, he led all of you to where you take a bath. It was in a large room on the second floor. He left you inside the bathroom to undress and get started while he took the other creatures to help him find a new dress for you.

It was strange showering in a new place. It felt slightly uncomfortable, but not as bad as having to be inside this mushy dress. So you locked the door and began to take off your dress. Off it goes! There was already water inside a large pot hanging above firewood. There was a box of matches in the room that you used to light up a fire. It would take a good while for the water to warm up, so you went ahead with using a smaller bucket to gather water. It was warmer than the water you had been in earlier. Feeling the clean water hit you was true relief. You washed yourself up when you heard a knock at the door.
