Chapter 25

Dear Readers: I'm super sorry I've been taking so long to post, and when I do, I know it's not much. But I haven't had a lot of time lately, and there hasn't been a lot of motivation, even though there is much determination. Anyways, hope you enjoy it! I'd love some feedback on the story do far, thanks! 

Chapter 25

Caitirina~ 

"Caitirina!" Athers cried as he launched himself into my arms. I encircled him with my arms and marveled at how much I had really missed him. 

"Athers!" I pulled back and looked at him. "You're alright?"

He gave me a confused look, and nodded briskly. "Yes, I'm fine. Lady Pantera was really nice. She made me some yummy pastries." He looked to where Pantera stood in the doorway of the room, talking with a girl that strangely looked like a fox. Satisfied that she was far enough away he turned back to me and whispered. "But not as good as Biddy's." We both laughed, but stopped when Pantera shut the door and walked up to us. 

"What's so funny?" She asked.

We both sobered quickly, Athers having to cover his mouth to stop from laughing when she gave us a stern look.

"Oh nothing, Athers was just telling me how well you were taking care of him." I replied.

"Oh, it was no trouble." She ruffled Athers hair. "Such a good little boy, I can see why Lorcan was so crazy over him." 

"You've talked to him?" I asked. Hadn't she just told me that they couldn't see one another?

"Yes, though only in our dreams." She looked away for a moment, a flash of sadness crossing her features, but she quickly masked it. "Now that you two have been reunited, we must talk Caitirina.

"Aww...but--" Athers started to whine.

"Don't worry she will be here for a little while longer, we just need to talk about some things quickly. Why don't you go see if Irusan needs any company." She offered.

Athers face lit up before he turned and darted from the room, but a moment later he came right back in and gave me a huge. "I missed you." He whispered.

"And I you." He smiled and waved goodbye as he ran once again from the room. 

"He seems to have taken a liking to my guard, Irusan. He's been at his heals since he got here. It's actually quite sweet." 

"Hmm...he's the same way with Lorcan."

"Must be a man thing." We both said at the same time. We both turned and laughed at one a other. She was so easy to get along with. That would be great when Lorcan and--wait, what? Even though we had pretty much established that we had been a...something before, didn't mean we were a something now. Or did it? Gods I was confused.

"Caitirina, are you alright?" Pantera asked.

"Oh, yes. Just thinking." 

She smiled softly and a look of longing crossed her face. "I have those same thoughts." A bright smile suddenly overtook the sadness that had just resided. "Enough of this, I have something to show you." 

Lorcan~

"I need to get to her." I growled.

"Yeah? Well I need a hole not to be in my wall." Bal growled as he sifted through the mess on the floor.

"I'm sorry that I brought this on you but--"

"By the light of Lumina, I'm only joking. Here." He threw a book at me. It was a large dark brown leather bound book. The sign of the fae was all over it. 

"What the hell is this, and why do you have it?" 

"A gift from a mutual friend." I gave him a confused look. "Gauraud."

"I should have known, he seems to be the source of many things these days." I groaned.

"Who'd know the offspring of a bitch like Narishka could be so helpful?" He murmured as he rifled through the rest of the stuff strewn about the room. 

"What the hell are we doing? I need to get to Caitirina." 

"Open the book." He replied.

"To what page?"

"Just open it." 

I did as he told me, and almost smacked him over the head with it when nothing was on any of the pages. But then my hand touched the page, and the words appeared.

"Împreună în lumină

Împreună în viaţă

Împreună în întuneric

Împreună în Moarte

Împreună în timp, şi în minte

Impreuna ca unu, pentru totdeauna.

Together in Light

Together in Life

Together in Darkness

Together in Death

Together with time, and in mind

Together as one, forever. 

"Say the words my friend, and you will be with her once again."
