Jinghua talking about Seventeen

During a solo schedule, Jinghua was doing an interview when the interviewer brought up SEVENTEEN and what the group meant to her. In response to the question, Jinghua answered with: "SEVENTEEN is like my family. A second home. I consider the members as my brothers and close friends who have been there for me for a long time. They give me comfort and are always supporting me. I adore them."

After making her solo debut in June of 2018 with the song, WHY and getting her first win with the mini album, Jinghua mentioned her fellow SEVENTEEN members in her speech.

"Wah~! Carat-deul, I won~! Hahaha...Thank you to everyone who has given my song love and support, it means a lot to me to see how much you all enjoy my music. I also want to thank my members for coming to visit me on set and giving me a lot of support, hairstylist unnie, stylist unnie; all the staff, thank you for your hard work. I hope to show you more of my different sides~ Thank you Carats~~!"

Jinghua was alone doing a solo mukbang V Live when she noticed comments asking about her friendship with the SEVENTEEN members. "What is your favourite thing about each member? Hmmm...It's different for each member, but overall I like being in their presence and how comfortable they make me. We could call one another and be silent for the entire time, and I will not feel uncomfortable in any way."

Since giving birth to her and Jaehyun's daughter, a lot of Carats have been asking Jinghua for updates on how their baby has been doing. One time at a fan event, a female Carat asked Jinghua if her daughter was old enough to date, and which member would she want her daughter's partner to be most like.

"I think I would want my daughter's partner to be like...Minghao?...Or maybe Mingyu? Despite all of our bickers, I think they would treat their significant others well; In fact, all the members would! But those 2 in specific stand out in my mind."

At a recent concert, during the encore of the event; Jinghua had to make a speech where she was feeling very emotional and vulnerable to the long distance between her and her baby. Likely, her members were there to support her during the speech and fans could not stop bawling at the heartwarming words she shared with everyone that night.

"Uh...It feels so surreal to be back on stage...With my members and performing in front of you all after so long...It's different for sure now that I am a mother, but it's also difficult being away from her...*sobs*...I don't think we shared this yet...but I want to take this time to thank...my members for everything they've done for me. I didn't think I would ever get to have my wedding ceremony or reception because of how busy Yoonoh and I have been...but...We got surprised by everyone with an incredible reception and ceremony and...I cannot express how lucky I am to have these men in my life...The same with you all...I did not think that one day I would be standing here...In front of you all...Performing and having fun with my 2nd family...Thank you for the love and support Carats...I am so grateful for you all..."
