Blog Forty One: Girl

~+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+~

So what’s the difference between a sophomore and a junior college students bukod sa subjects? Wala much. Yup, wala much. And his brother is still attractive, pero of course erase, erase siya sa sistemo ko right? Hashtag Should Be.

I shot Cirrus a look. “Seriously?

He didn’t reply. He just shrugged. ‘Yung totoo? Wala talaga siyang kuwentang kausap minsan. I swear, lalayasan ko siya on the spot.

“Cirrus, you have to attend your class,” I insisted.

He just nodded.

I put my hands on my hips. “So…?”

“Ano?”

“What the hell are you doing here pa? Doon ang building mo,” I said, pointing sa direction ng College of Engineering.

He shrugged and headed toward their college building. I gave an exasperated sigh as I watched his retreating back. Civil Engineering is one of those sagad-sagad sa hirap at sobrang madugong course not only in our university, kundi pati sa iba ring universities. Maybe. But does that give him enough time?

In spite of what I am wondering, hindi ko mapigilang ngumiti.

“Hi,” bati niya.

“Uh, hi?” I said, blinking and staring at the familiar girl in front of me.

Nginitian niya ako. She held out her hand. “Clara Montejo. I’m taking a part-time job here in this university as a substitute professor,” pakilala niya.

I nodded. Clara Montejo. Of course. Of course, kilala ko siya. “Celeste Cheng,” I said, shaking her hand.

“Kakilala mo pala si Cirrus Sandejas,” she suddenly commented.

I nodded. “Yes. Why?”

“Nothing. I was just surprised.”

“Surprised? By what?”

Basta may something.

“Excuse me?”

She narrowed her eyes. “You two look close, so I take it you know him that well?”

I shrugged. “I know him enough.”

She nodded. “Then maybe you also know that Cirrus Sandejas doesn’t like staying in the same place where there are girls, let alone talk to one. And that he isn’t gay, but he doesn’t like girls. So it’s actually a surprise that he’s with you.”

I blinked, pero bago pa ako nakapagsalita, she flipped her hair and walk away. Wow. Did she just, excuse me, show me that kind of behavior? I was about to scowl when Cara came over. She looked really pissed.
