Plot: Vinnie helps you watch your two young cousins
——————————————————————————-

"Vin, please don't feel like you have to." You held the phone up to your ear as you were making the kids sandwiches in the kitchen.
"I'm sure babysitting isn't at the top of your list of things to do on your day off."

"Come on, I love kids." He laughed and you could hear his car rumbling in the background. "I'll be there in a few minutes. Love you."

"Love you too." You set the phone down and called out to the kids. "Sandwiches are ready!"

Loud screams and cheers erupt and the kids come bolting into the kitchen, hopping onto the chairs and drumming on the table.

You were babysitting your two cousins. Mia, a 7 year old girl and her younger brother Xavier who's 5.

"What do you want to drink?" You asked and set their plates in front of them.

"Chocolate milk!"

"Apple juice!"

You gave them their respective drinks and got yourself a water bottle. "So what do you guys wanna do after you eat?"

The three of you started discussing ideas, whether you should go to the park, watch Paw Patrol, or dress up.

"I hope there's room for me!" You hear Vinnie's voice as he comes through the front door.

"VINNIE!" the two children yell. The run from the table. They jump on his legs, almost causing him to tumble to the ground.

He laughs and lifts his legs up to drag them across the floor before grabbing them and carrying them both to the table, pretending to eat their food.

Mia and Xavier had only met Vinnie once. They were with him for about an hour but they instantly fell in love with him. You and Vinnie were the only adults that they saw besides their parents. And they thought Vinnie was cooler because they didn't see him as much.

So they pretty much begged for you to invite him over.

"Vinnie that's mine!" Xavier said to him as Vinnie continued to "drink" his juice. "Y/N will get you some if you want. You just have to say please."

"Good idea." Vinnie said. "Y/N, may I please have some apple juice."

You just laughed.

"No I'm serious. I'm lowkey thirsty."

"Well only because you asked politely."

"Be careful," you laughed as Vinnie held both of the kids upside down. "Don't drop them."

"Did you say drop them?" Vinnie taunted as the kids let out squeals of laughter as he pretended to release them, but not even letting them drop an inch before he gripped back onto them.

"You're riling them up, they need to get ready for bed." You told him.

"No!" The kids groaned. Vinnie set them on their feet. "We wanna keep playing."

Vinnie got on one knee and turned them so they were facing him. "How about, you put on your pj's and brush your teeth, and then ask Y/N really really nicely if you can play for a little longer?"

They run over to you on the couch and beg you. You laugh and hug them, then looking up at Vinnie who's smirking.

"You better brush those teeth very well." And before you can get another word out, they are saying their thank you's and rushing upstairs.

Vinnie let's put a dramatic sigh, pretending to wipe sweat off his forehead and plopping down on the couch. He puts his arm around you and pulls you closer so he can kiss you on the cheek, enjoying the few minutes he has with you before the kids come back down.

"Sorry they've been tackling you all day." You said and cuddled into his chest.

"Oh they're fine." He says. "They're fun. Oh, and what time is their mom coming? Maybe we have time to build a fort."

You smiled at him. "You're gonna be such a great dad one day."

"As long as I have kids with you." He playfully kisses you all over your face.

You giggled. "Stop, they'll be coming down soon."
