Vinnie teaches you how to play Valorant

——————————————————————————

It was late at night and you were doing some miscellaneous things on your laptop, laying on Vinnie's bed while he was streaming at his desktop with Saul. He'd been at this for about two hours now and every now and then you had to hold back from laughing in the background at something he said.

Vinnie finally wanted to take a short break and he got up from his chair to use the bathroom. He gave you a quick smirk as he passed you. When he came back, he had an idea. " You wanna play?"

You looked up at him and he has a look of curiosity on his face. "Me?" You asked.

He crossed his arms. "Nah, Hera." he said sarcastically. "Yes YOU."

"I mean...I don't know how to play. And even though I watch you sometimes, I really don't know what I'm looking at."

"Come on, I'll teach you."

You reluctantly got up from the spot on the bed and he pulled out his gaming chair for you. You sat down in front of his computers and took in the whole setup. Vinnie gave you his headphones and put on a second pair for himself so he could still hear what was going on with the game. As soon as he unmute the mic, you heard Saul's voice. "Yoooo Y/N"

You smiled at the camera as if you were to make eye contact with him. "Yo what's up?"

"No way, are you about to play?" he laughed.

"Looks like it. I mean Vin's gonna teach me though." you said as Vinnie pulled up a chair next to you. Glancing over at the chat, you see that they are going crazy.

v_madness: omfg not Y/N about to play lmao

renoir_xd: This about to be funny af

allison_hackerr: no because she actually might be better than Vinnie

adilovesvinnie: we love to see it

"How do I win? I just wanna win." you said as you got comfortable in his seat.

Vinnie reached across you to get the the game's homepage and started explaining the basics.

"Okay so there's two teams against one another. Your team is either going to attack or defend. The attackers plant a bomb that's called a spike, and the other team needs to diffuse it or stop them from planting it in the first place."

You nodded your head in understanding.

Vinnie sat back and let you choose your character and weapons. You were going a little slow because you weren't used to how to find things. Also, you and Saul were on the same team.

"Oh and also," Vinnie said. "There are 25 rounds in total and the first team to win 13 rounds, wins the game."

"Oh my god that's seems like long time. Maybe that's why you sit here all day." you replied.

The game starts and Vinnie and Saul are giving you pointers. You have no idea what you're doing and are trying to concentrate while listening to them at the same time. So far, so good. Your character is Jett and Vinnie lets you know that she has special abilities like jumping high in the air, throwing knives with precision and accuracy, and throwing a spherical cloud that temporarily blocks an opponent's vision.

You keep this is mind and try to remember the controls to use so you can use the abilities whenever you see fit.

As time goes on, you find yourself getting more comfortable and realize that Valorant isn't as hard as you thought.

That is until you get killed 3 times in 10 minutes.

"Ok what the fuck Y/N?" Saul says with a laugh and you put your hand on your head in frustration.

"Don't be a bitch bro." Vinnie comes to your defense playfully and puts his arms around you.

"No it's okay, I got this." You straighten up as the game starts again.

You lowkey feel like you're in beast mode and you can't help but make comments out loud.

"What the fuck is this?"

"Can I walk? Can I even breathe without someone coming for my neck?"

"This is so whack."

"Really?"

"I know she's not about to kill me-"

Vinnie can't stop laughing beside you.

He looks at you in admiration, seeing how quickly you're adjusting to the game. He knows that even of you don't wanna play seriously like he does, he likes that you were willing to learn and enjoy it for the time being and that's all he could ask for.
