Kei was in the garden watering the plants. He is so bored of having nothing to do.
His eyes hurt working at the laptop or the cellphone for a long time so he went around to ask if they needed help.
He already studied for 2 hours. He doesn't like over working his head.
He knows he is smart but he doesn't plan to be a genius.
Working hard is working hard.
Too much expectations can destroy lives so he is not that strict. His grandma tells him that he needed to be number 1 in the class not because he should be the smartest but so he can get a scholarship when he graduates. Since they are poor and they have small resources. A scholarship can lessen the money they have to spend for his college life.
He too worked hard for it.
But now his father told him that he will pay for his school fee.
The scholarship certificate he got was laminated and he put it on his grandma's coffin.
He wants to give it to his grandma.
The proof of their team work.
Kei walked to the living room and opened the television.
He has nothing else to do.
The maids scolded him and told him to scram out of the kitchen because he insists on helping.
Watching television for 10 minutes bore the hell out of him.
Classes will start a month from now so he is free to do anything.
By anything, it means there is nothing.
Before he plans to have a part time job.
But his father gave him a weekly allowance that is higher than a monthly allowance of a full time worker. He doesn't want to mock the part time job and it is better if a person who most needed the job got hired.
For him, a part-time job is only important to have extra income before he starts college.
Now that he has money, as long as he is not wasteful, he will have enough money for himself in case of an emergency.
People don't work just because they need money…..is only said by people with other resources.
Pay is what makes a working environment perfect and enjoyable.
You will start liking your job if you are being paid right or most being paid generously.
He too picked Commerce as a College Course.
Because he needed to get a job after college and not just end his dream after getting a degree.
Life never ends in happily-ever-after.
He turned the television and stretched.
"Eh?"
"Young Master, you have a guest."
The maid said. Behind her is Jeremy with a frowning face.
"Jeremy, what's wrong?" He asks and sits down again.
"Sit here." He said, patting the space beside him.
Jeremy sits down and looks seriously at Kei.
"Kei, I'm sorry."
"........I need more context." He said, frowning.
Kei is quiet for a moment.
Jeremy is silent too.
Kei smiles.
"It's fine."
"Really?"
Jeremy frowns.
Kei grins.
"I did hit him a couple of times. Tell him I'm sorry too so don't pursue the issue anymore."
Jeremy sighs.
"For my relative to have done something so awful to you. It's so maddening." He said, clenching his fist tightly.
Kei looks at Jeremy.
Jeremy notices and looks at him too.
"Do you want to say something?"
"Why are you being good to me?" Kei asks.
"I have no idea before and I don't really care. But since everyone is acting so weirdly about the 'Settir' family, the 'Roseburn' family, I researched it this morning and got a huge shock. I mean.. I am sitting in that crazily round table of business Gods. If I had known I would throw up being so nervous."
Jeremy smiles.
"We are not different people."
"Bite me." Kei frowns.
"I only want to know how rich you are and the internet almost explodes with all the details. Making me feel so stupid." He pouts.
Jeremy rubs his head.
"Still, Kei is being Kei after knowing all of that. I am relieved."
Kei slaps his hand away.
"I put gel in my hair, don't ruin it."
He pouts.
Jeremy smiles.
"Your hair is soft. Gel will ruin your hair."
"It's fashion. Fashion." He stands up.
"Before I forgot, can you wait for me?"
Jeremy nods and watches Kei run up the stairs then he gets down and gives Jeremy a blank drawing book and a pen.
Jeremy looks at Kei.
"What is this?"
"I never met a famous person before. Sign here."
Kei said.
"You do realize that your sisters are actresses right?" Jeremy lips curved up.
His gloomy expression disappears completely.
Kei pouts.
"I don't watch dramas. It is a false interpretation of human life. There is no human being capable of forgiving people so readily and helps others selflessly like the main characters in the movies or television series. They make people think that that is the ideal kindness everyone should become twisting the general opinions. I hate that."
Jeremy rubs his hair then stops.
"Ah. Sorry. I forgot you put gel in your hair."
Jeremy smiles with Kei's angry frown.
Jeremy never thought he would sign like a celebrity.
Kei looks at it for a few minutes then looks at Jeremy.
"Did you really impregnate a 14 year old girl when you are young?"
Jeremy gapes.
"Huh?"
"I heard when you are 15. You impregnate a junior student. I have this great respect and great disgust toward you at the same time."
Jeremy rubs his temple.
"Wait. What?"
"The news. I read it online."
Jeremy lips twitch.
"First, I am still young to say something like 'when you are young'. Second, not everything you read online is real."
"Isn't it why I am asking if it was? So? Did you really?"
Jeremy has a wry smile.
"I didn't."
"Ehhhhhhh?" Kei has a betrayed expression.
Jeremy wraps his arms around him since he can't rub his head.
"I am not a sex maniac."
"Jeremy, you are handsome." Kei said seriously. "I,maybe, dying from disgust and envy but you should work hard and spread your sperm cells."
Jeremy laughs.
He can't help but rubs his head.
"You are so funny!"
Kei angrily tried to move away from him but Jeremy hugs his waist making him unable to move.
Kei gave up.
There are people who are just insanely gifted.
He accepts defeat.
"So….Did you really change girlfriends regularly? Is it weekly or monthly?"
Jeremy grins
"What nonsense. I am not someone who will be so loose."
"No way….I mean not even one rumor about you is true?" Kei clicked his tongue.
"Humans should have some flaws or I will sue whoever makes you so perfect."
Jeremy grins.
"I am not perfect. But I am not going to let some awful people make fun of my weakness and use it against me, right?"
Kei snorts.
"Are you the type that says, My family is my only weakness? Irritates me."
Jeremy smiles.
If I tell you mine will you tell me yours?"
"I don't have weakness. My weakness before is that I am poor. Now that I am no longer one, I don't have any weakness."
Jeremy laughs.
"And who made you that perfect?"
"Grandma, myself and….Don't say I am too religious, I'll hit you. I believe God made me perfect."
Jeremy is amused.
"Oh."
Kei pouts.
"What?"
"Nothing. I do think you are made perfect."
"Well..Thanks." Kei blushes a bit.
But he honestly believed himself.
"So Kei has no flaws?"
"I have."
"Perfect means no flaws." Jeremy grins.
"Perfect means you are too good that your flaws don't matter." Kei seriously said, tilting his head.
Jeremy stares at him.
"Eh?"
Kei blinks.
"I have so many flaws. I am smart but I don't know everything. But I am so smart it doesn't matter if I don't know some things. It's perfect, right?"
Jeremy bursts.
"I guess you are right. Then I am perfect too."
Kei glares at him.
"That is not applicable to everyone."
Jeremy smiles.
"But I am so perfect I don't need others to tell me if I am really perfect or not."
Kei pouts.
"Cheating."
Jeremy happily came back home.
Seeing his good mood scares the hell out of Gale who was reprimanded all day.
"B-brother…"
Jeremy ignores Gale and goes to the living room to report to his father.
On the side is Asher who has been crying all day after he heard what happened.
He wanted to come to Kei's house but Ashley didn't allow him.
They don't want to force Kei to forgive them using a small boy.
Asher stands up and hugs Jeremy.
"Brother, is he mad? Does he say he won't see me again?"
Asher asks.
Jeremy rubs his head.
"Of course not. He said it doesn't matter. And he beat up Gale so he also apologized and hoped we forgot what happened."
Asher sighs deeply.
Ashley also sighs.
"What a forgiving boy."
Jeremy smiles.
"You look happy." Ashley said.
"Ah. It seems Kei is used to planting vegetables but the Wilderburg house doesn't have a space for them. I do offer a space in our house but he rejected me. So I told him he can plant something in that empty lot I bought a while back. He looks excited so I ask if I can join him and so….we will plant some vegetables I guess." Jeremy chuckles.
Asher eyes widen.
"Wait! I will go too!"
"But can you wake up early?" Jeremy teased.
Asher pouts.
"I will sleep early so I can wake up early." He pouts.
"Hmmm." Jeremy smiles.
Ashley smiles.
"Me too. I do like planting flowers so vegetables are easier I think!"
The next day, Kei asks why all the Settirs are present?
A/N:
I can't believe it myself.....
Its already 12:12pm
What happened to the other hours?
Urgh...
