"AHHHHH!!"
*THUD*
"M-My love?!"
Todoroki responded to my sudden scream and the loud thud coming from our shared bedroom that he stopped working out in our gym room so he could check out what's going on with me.
"O-Ouch, that girl was fiesty! All I wanted was to turn on all the six generators inside an abandoned warehouse and escape. Is that too much to ask-"
"(Y/N), are you okay?! Is there a villain barging into our house?!"
I saw Todoroki entering the bedroom in a quick pace and he's still holding his workout barbell like he's ready to use it as a weapon or he could be carrying it by accident while he was worried about my state.
"Oh, Shoto~! H-Hahaha, sorry if you're seeing my clumsy self but I'm okay! No villain here!", I said with bright reassurance and even gave him a thumbs up while laying down on the floor.
He sighed with relief and wiped his sweat before replying, "That's a relief. Your voice was very loud that it was able to reach the living room and here I thought something bad happened to you".
"Sorry for making you worry", I apologized and tried to get up but Todoroki did the rest and looked at me from head to toe to see if I have any injuries, "I was just playing a horror game, that's all".
"Horror game?", he asked and the moment he saw the monitor from our PC set, "Oh, that explains why you were screaming. Funny, playing something that will make you scared after taking a nap".
"Right? I don't know what came over me but I feel like playing something different today!", I said and grinned fixed the wires from the headset, "Well, I better continue-"
"I'm joining with you"
My eyes widened and suddenly, he put the barbell on top of our lower dresser and took off his shirt which revealed his chiseled and manly body of his.
I blushed bright pink, which is really odd for me since I've seen his bare body more than five times already and also the fact that I am married to this sexy-I mean, to this hunk of a-I MEAN! heroic but also secretly-adorable-but-he-doesn't-know-it kind of man. Yeah! (A/N: *tries not too laugh after writing this part* Keep it together, me)
Then again, I can't get over how breathtaking his body is and you can't change my mind, TwT
"Y-You mean, you want to play this game with me?", I asked and raised a brow.
He nodded and grabbed the bath towel from the closet close to our restroom.
"Yes. I have nothing else to do anyway after I work out and...I want to spend my time with my wife", Todoroki said with a soft smile before kissing my lips, "Wait for me, okay? I'll just take a shower real quick".
I smiled and nodded before kissing him back.
"Sure! Ooh, this is so exciting! Want me to restart the game for you?"
"That would be nice start, thank you, my love"

Once Todoroki was done showering, I was able to disconnect the headset from the PC so we could rely on the mini surround speakers to make things more exciting and also for us to hear it together.
"I'm here"
I turned to see Todoroki in his over sized white shirt and he's still drying his hair up.
"Oh, good!", I said and got the chair from the vanity mirror for him to sit, "Here, here!".
He nodded with small smile before sitting down beside me.
"What's the horror game that we are about to play together?", Todoroki questioned.
"Slender, umm, Oh! Slender The Arrival. There we go", I replied and adjusted the volume, "One of the pro heroes in my dad's agency, who is a gamer, recommended this to me and I gotta say...it's pretty scary after trying this out yesterday".
"You mean while I was out at my father's agency for a meeting?", Todoroki questioned once more, still drying his hair.
I nodded and clicked the start game button before the screen will fade into black.
"Yeah, I played like the first half of the game and kept getting jumpscares", I said and shook my body a bit with fear, "Just thinking about it makes me shiver".
"Is that so? Well, fear not. I am here by your side now", Todoroki said and hugged me close, "I must admit...that...this is another reason why I want to be with you since...what do you call that-Oh, right. Game face. Yeah, that one. You had that game face on and you looked like you wanted to finish the game".
"Shoto...", I said in awe and kissed the top of his nose, "This is why I love you so much".
"I love you too", Todoroki replied and nuzzled his nose against mine before kissing my lips lovingly, "Now then, let's see what this game has to offer us".
I nodded brightly and since we've been talking for a few minutes, the game already began.
"So, we're in the woods", Todoroki commented.
"Yep! Anyways, since we are both playing, teamwork is a must! I'll let you do the movements while I handle the looking", I said and got the mouse, "Too bad there's no multiplayer for this so let's make it this way so we can play it together! How does that sound?".
He nodded and replied, "That's a good idea, my love. After all, we always make things work when we are together, remember? So, we can do this".
I grinned before kissing his cheek and told Todoroki how to move the character and other controls that depend on it and I even discuss to him some facts about Slenderman that I know.
"Interesting. Still, I wonder why the character I am playing as is in the woods of all places", Todoroki said while moving in the game, "Are they there for a reason?".
"Good question. Based on something I've read before I played the game, you are playing as a girl actually named Lauren and she's suppose to look for her friend who has gone missing", I replied and watched him walk into the woods while keeping the camera steady in the game.
"I see, I understand her part in this. After all, we do everything to help someone dear to you, right?", Todoroki said and kissed the top of my head, "It reminded me of the time when I saved you from one of the League of Villains and I wouldn't dare to lose you".
I smiled just hearing those words and continued proceeding the game with him.
"The setting is getting darker each minute. That was fast", Todoroki commented, "The flashlight is Right Click so-Oh wait, you're using the mouse. Oops"
"We don't have the flashlight yet, Todo. Haha", I replied and laughed while looking around a bit in the game.
"Really? What about their phone though?", Todoroki questioned himself or the game, "Oh wait, maybe there are no smartphones in this game. Yeah, let's just go with that".
I chuckled just listening to my husband questioning about the game which is a rare sight since he doesn't play video games that much.
After a few minutes, we finally found a house and decided to go inside to investigate.
"Finally, light source but it seems abandoned", Todoroki commented with a blank face.
Interesting.
He doesn't seem to be afraid...yet.
Well, let's see how it will go from here but then again...this is Todoroki were talking about here.
"Hmm, there's a note", Todoroki commented and didn't hesitate to approach the note from the center table of the living room.
"Let's read it, Shoto! So you can grasp the lore and story of the game together with me!", I said and grinned, "And it will add that to your scrapbook too".
He chuckled quietly from my excitement and gave me a soft head pat before we both read the note flashed on the screen right now.
"Thank you, I can't thank you enough for coming out all this way to help me out! It's been a pretty rough road trying to sell this old place, I wish I had turned to you sooner. You have no idea how happy I'll be once this is all behind me! :) - Love you always, Kate"
"Kate? Is that her friend's name?", Todoroki questioned after reading the note.
"Yep!", I replied and nodded.
"Ooh, that means this is her house then", Todoroki said and I could've sworn I saw sparkles appearing on his face but I guess I am just seeing things...or am I?
He started moving around the house while I did the looking for him and tried fiddling around with the objects for Todoroki so he can see what would happen and stuff.
"Oh, flashlight"
After some roaming around, Todoroki found the flashlight next to a note and a radio so once he approached it, I grabbed it immediately by pressing the Left Click from the mouse.
"Should I explore the house more?", Todoroki questioned me.
I nodded and replied, "Yeah, you should! You haven't checked the second floor of the house yet, haha".
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot", Todoroki said and tried to find the staircase, "Maybe there's something important up there".
That being said, he was able to find the staircase but -
"Huh? That wasn't there before...was it now?"
The moment he found the staircase, there were writings or scribbles on the walls.
"Is that suppose to be the Slenderman you're talking about?", Todoroki said and pointed.
"Yep, it's him but in drawing form, haha", I said and laughed.
He nodded and started walking up the staircase then eventually when he found the locked room at the end of the hall, he began searching for the key.
"Go Shoto~!"
"Thank you, my love. I'll do my best"
After some searching inside the house, he was able to find the key and I unlocked the locked room which is actually the bedroom of Kate.
"Eh? More writings? Oh, hold on"
Todoroki entered the bedroom hesitantly and started looking around the surroundings with a focused look on his face.
"It's not just writings but there are pages filled with drawings of some sorts", Todoroki commented then he stopped to look at an interesting scribbled wall except it was written in red ink.
"Yes...I can see it", Todoroki replied to the writings on bedroom wall which I find it cute, "Hmm, a radio tower, huh?".
I nodded back at him with a smile and let him continue investigating the bedroom with curious eyes.
"Oh"
Once he looked out of the window, he was able to see Slenderman himself just chilling outside in his suit but expression seemed quite shocked but no sign of fear.
"Looks like he knows where I am now"
"You need to go the forest!"
He hummed and pointed at the scribbled wall that says "TO THE WOODS" which is located at the right side of the bedroom.
"So I'm going to confront of him then?", Todoroki said and raised a brow.
"Something like that but you'll find out once you get there", I replied and chuckled, "I don't want to spoil the fun of the game, you know-"
We stopped talking when a girl screamed outside and Todoroki immediately left the bedroom which made me adjust the camera quickly using the mouse.
Even in video games, he's still acting like the pro hero that he is, uwu.
...
"Okay, we're at the woods now"
Once the prologue of the game ended when Todoroki exited Kate's house, Todoroki is now exploring the forest, which is Oakside Park apparently, with his trusty flashlight.
He's been walking around for five minutes and he's trying to figure out what's the sole purpose of us being there in the forest in the first place.
I kept looking at his face if he is showing some sign of fear but nothing.
Even with the creepy vibe is not scaring him at all.
If I were with Midoriya, Kaminari or one of my female friends from Class 1-A, we'll definitely start freaking out all out once.
"Hey, it's one of those pages in Kate's room"
I took the page by pressing Left Click from the mouse and the screen now says "1 out of 8 pages".
"Ooh, okay. So this is our objective in the game", Todoroki said and nodded to himself before the booming music of the game started kicking in, "We'll just collect all these 8 pages and win the game, right?".
"Well, there's more to it actu-WHAT THE!"
"Eh-Oh"
Out of nowhere, Slenderman came out of nowhere way too early and decided to say hi to us and now static is covering up the screen.
"R-Run, Shoto! I'll face the camera the other way!"
"On it!"
Todoroki pressed the Left Shift key from his keyboard once I shifted the camera and he started running to a different direction.
"It will be game over if he catches both of us", Todoroki said and stopped running after keeping a far distance from Slenderman so he can preserve stamina, "So let's give it our all and hopefully find Kate".
I smiled just seeing his determination right now but for some reason, I feel lowkey disappointed that he still doesn't show sign of him scared of a horror game such as this - even though deep down, I already knew this would happen.
I mean, he didn't scream while he was riding the roller coaster with me when both of us are still dating and studying in U.A.
...
Minutes had passed and we are currently collected four pages and didn't even die yet which is incredible because when I played this alone, it took me at least four to five attempts for me to collect all of the eight pages.
Although, while we are looking for the fourth page, Slenderman kept teleporting from one place to another just to jumpscare our butts.
Well, except I'm the one getting scared and Todoroki couldn't help but reassure me instead even though he's taking over the game.
Anyways, once the fourth page was found, we are now venturing to find the last four pages.
"Great, you're doing well, Shoto!", I said and giggled, "Not bad for your first experience".
"Thank you, my love", Todoroki replied and looked at me, "Can I have a kiss as an award for doing such a good job?".
I giggled at his suggestion but I obliged and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"You missed"
"Oh, sorry! Then-Mmm!"
He gently held my chin upwards and gently kissed my lips lovingly a few times before he focused on the game again.
"I am more determined now, thanks to you", Todoroki said and chuckled softly, "I hope you give me more once we collected all eight of them".
"S-Sure, haha. Of course, I will", I replied and put my head on his shoulder. (A/N: Put your head on my shoulderrrrrr // SLAPPED Oh wait, I made this joke already from a different scenario, oops XD)
Thus our hunt for the other pages continues.
"The music is getting louder as we keep collecting", Todoroki commented and kept walking, "Is this normal?".
"It's part of the game so it can give the player the creepy tension", I said and smiled, "Are you afraid perhaps?".
"Well, not really but I must say it's intimidating me quite a bit", Todoroki said and gulped, "But I won't back down-O-Oh!".
Did he just...stutter?
And his eyes for a moment widened for a split second before he would adjust his focus again on the game.
"A-AHH! R-RUN, SHOTO!! I'LL S-SHIFT THE CAMERA AGAIN!"
Slenderman popped out of nowhere once again in front of our faces and Todoroki started making a run for it once I changed the direction of the camera again.
He pressed the Left Shift button once again and started sprinting but of course, he is being extra careful with the stamina.
"A-Ah, another page"
Todoroki was able to find another page while escaping from Slenderman.
"Nice nice!!! I'll get the page, Shoto!"
He nodded and I grabbed the photo before he started running to a different direction.
"The static is taking over the video cam of our character here", Todoroki said and bit his lower lip.
"Oh no, at this rate, chances of us getting taken by him is 20%!", I said and while looking around using the mouse, "But we can do this! This might be even better than my attempts".
"Your attempts? How many times?", Todoroki asked and looked at me.
I sighed before I pouted and replied, "Four or five. I failed miserably at my first attempt since I played it alone for the first time and I screamed a lot, haha".
"O-Oh, I see. I would have hugged you by then if ever that happens, you know?", Todoroki commented, "But like I said, it's okay. Because-"
"I am here!"
Both of us laughed when we both said All-Might's catchphrase at the same time and we each other a playful kiss on the lips.
"You're so cute, (Y/N)"
"No, you are-AHHH!!"
He nearly jumped either from my screaming or the static sounds coming from Slenderman but he got back in the game and pressed Left Shift after I adjusted the camera to the other direction.
"Come on. Come on, Lauren!", I said and bit my lower lip, "Keep running! Run!!".
"If she had an energy drink, her stamina would've extended", Todoroki made a side comment while running.
I laughed at his comment and the moment I faced left -
"AHHH!"
"W-What?! How did he-"
At that moment, I hugged Todoroki which made him hugged me back and slowly, static has taken over our computer screen and Slenderman is already behind our backs
Then after a few seconds, his face popped up close and afterwards, the the RETRY screen popped up.
Both of us were breathing a bit too fast - well, especially me - and I can feel Todoroki soothing my back with full reassurance.
"Are you okay, my love?", Todoroki asked me and kissed the top of my head.
I nodded and just hugged him tight while squeezing him tight.
"Y-Yeah, haha! It's just...he was too close to us from the moment I changed direction that I flipped", I replied and sighed before massaging my temples, "Why is he so feisty right now? The chaser was bad enough".
"Chaser?"
I grinned and chuckled before replying, "Oops, spoiler alert".
He raised a brow and looked like he wanted to know but I kissed his lips before clicking the RETRY button.
"Don't worry, Shoto. We'll get there but l-let's finish collecting the eight pages together before we get there!", I said and grinned, "After all, we're in this together".
He chuckled softly just listening to my words and didn't hesitate to kiss my lips.
"You're right, my love", Todoroki replied and nodded before nuzzling my nose, "Let's try again and I'll see for myself when we get to that part of the game. If you still feel scared, just think of me and lean on to me while facing Slenderman and this Chaser character, okay?".
