-Upstairs-
Lissy- I got to his room and slammed the door shut. I plopped down onto the bed and crossed my arms.
Dad- I opened the door and walked in. I stared at her sternly.
Lissy- I looked up and saw him standing there looking at me.
Dad- I closed the door quietly and walked over to where she was.
Lissy- I looked down at my lap, not wanting to make eye contact with him.
Dad- "Please look at me, Allyssa."
Lissy- Shoot! He used my first full name. I looked up and saw anger in his eyes. I quickly looked down again.
Dad- I placed my finger under her chin and lifted it up so that she would be looking at me
Lissy- I looked up at him but not in his eyes
Dad- I let go of her chin and crossed my arms. "Care to explain your behavior downstairs"?
Lissy- I shrugged my shoulders
Dad- "I want a verbal response, Allyssa."
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "When I ask you a question. I expect an answer."
Lissy- "I don't know."
Dad- "Allyssa, you know that I don't accept that kind of answer."
Lissy- I rolled my eyes
Dad- "Enough with the eye-rolling Allyssa."
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "I'm waiting for an explanation."
Lissy- "I don't see why I have to listen to Uncle Danny. He isn't my Dad."
Dad- "True, but you know that when I'm not around, and he is around. He is in charge of you. If he tells you to do something, you are to do it without any complaints or arguments."
Lissy- "That's not fair."
Dad- "It doesn't have to be fair. The way you treated Danny was uncalled for and didn't think for a second that I didn't hear that way you treated Callen."
Lissy- "He isn't in charge of me. He was telling me what to do."
Dad- "You know that you are to treat an adult with respect no matter what.
Lissy- I rolled my eyes
Dad- " What did I say about rolling your eyes"?
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "I asked you a question."
Lissy- "Not to"
Dad- "Then why would you roll them when you know not to"?
Lissy- " Does it matter"?
Dad- "You are to treat an adult with respect no matter what unless there is a problem with that adult. And if there is a problem you and I will discuss it. You don't disrespect an adult. Is that understood"?
Lissy- "yeah."
Dad- "What was that"?
Lissy- " Yes Sir"
Dad- "Good"
Lissy- "Well, since we are done here. I think I'll go hang out with the girls" I said getting up
Dad- "Sit back down."
Lissy- "Why"?
Dad- "We are not done, Allyssa. We are going to discuss your sneaking out. Now sit back down."
Lissy- I rolled my eyes and sat down
Dad- I grabbed her arm and pulled her up. I turned her around and gave her five firm smacks onto her bottom.
Lissy- "What was that for"!
Dad- "That young lady was for rolling your eyes at me after I told you to stop."
Lissy- "Uggghhh.....whatever"
Dad- "Allyssa McKenzie lose the dam attitude," I said giving her five more smacks
Lissy- I was about to roll my eyes but stopped when I saw my Dad's stern warning face.
Dad- I let go of her arm and said, "Sit down."
Lissy- I sat down and crossed arms
Dad- "I don't understand what you were thinking of sneaking out not only once but twice! Twice Allyssa"
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- " I am tired of saying this, but I thought I got through you the last time. Apparently, I didn't"
Lissy- "So, what? I snuck out before."
Dad- "Yes, and there shouldn't be a before at all. I've told you time after time not to sneak out. I am sick and tired of finding out that you snuck out. I'm sick and tired of you getting into trouble."
Lissy- "Look, I'm sorry."
Dad- "Are you Allyssa? You keep saying that you are sorry, but yet you keep sneaking out over and over again."
Lissy- "I apologized. What else can I do"?
Dad- " There is honestly nothing you could say or do, Allyssa. This sneaking out twice has pulled the last straw."
Lissy- "Dad," I said
Dad- "You are on complete lockdown. No phones, no tv, no friends, no company, no going out, nothing at all.nYou are not allowed to leave your room for any reason since you have a bathroom attached to your room. You will be on complete lockdown until further notice."
Lissy- "But what about vacation"?
Dad- " Im sorry but you won't be able to do anything else during vacation."
Lissy- "But we only have two days left here."
Dad- "You should've thought of the consequences for sneaking out."
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "We will discuss your further punishment when we get back home. During the time we are here, and on the way back home, you will be on thin ice. Any attitude, disrespect, or disobedience from you, there will be an automatic consequence. Is that understood"?
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "Is that clear"? I said more sternly
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "I said. Is that clear"
Lissy- "Yeah"
Dad- "Allyssa McGarrett"
Lissy- "Yes Sir. I understand"
Dad- "Now go to your room."
Lissy- "Please Dad"
Dad- "Now Allyssa"
Lissy- "Dad please"
Dad- "Allyssa, go to your room now"
Lissy- (no response or movement)
Dad- "Allyssa McKenzie McGarrett"
Lissy- I quickly left his room and went into my room.

Dad- As soon as she left, and I heard her door closed. I sat down and rubbed my fac.... I hated that I had to be strict and stern with her. But I don't know what else to do with her.
Will this be the last time Lissy sneak out??
