Narrator: Asta, Luck, Noelle, & Y/N had come to the aid of the Golden Trio. Asta & Mars had a fierce back & forth battle but with one final swing of his sword, Asta had beaten Mars. We now continue our story in the aftermath of the fight.
NO ONE'S POV:
(Our heroes are standing over a now confined Mars.)
Klaus: That should hold him.
Asta: You sure that Binding spell's gonna be enough?
Klaus: Are you questioning the strength of my magic? It's a sturdy spell that won't be broken by an injured mage. Plus, I have his grimoire.
Asta: Okay, okay, defensive much?Here. Have some. It's good. (tries to hand Klaus a leaf)
Klaus: I don't want your half-chewed leftovers.
Asta: Yuno?
Yuno: I think I'll pass.
Mimosa: I'm so relieved that none of us were seriously injured.
(Imagine Y/N is behind them.)
Noelle: Are you sure you should be up and about already?
(Y/N): Yeah, Mimosa, you should take it easy.
Mimosa: Oh, yes, it's fine. I'm mostly healed now. I have the both of you to thank for protecting me so valiantly.
Noelle: I didn't do anything special. (smirks) It was all (Y/N).
(Y/N): *blushing* It was no big deal...
Noelle: We couldn't just leave a dimwit like you to fend for herself.
Mimosa: Well, you have my gratitude. Both of you.
(Y/N's thoughts): Should I confess now? Should I confess when we get out of here? Yeah! I'll do it then!
Noelle: Fine, whatever. Asta, do you think you could do something about yourself already?
Asta: Jeez, what am I doin' wrong this time?
(Imagine Y/N is next to Mimosa & behind Noelle.)
Noelle: Just look at the way you're dressed!
Asta: So why are you blushing when I'm the one half-naked?
(Y/N): [laughing uncontrollably]
Noelle: (Y/N), stop laughing this instant! And don't be ridiculous. I am not blushing.
Asta: My robe, though. Aw, just look at it. The poor thing got seriously torn up. Magna's totally gonna kill me for this.
Luck: Vanessa'll will fix it up when we get back.
Asta: You think she can? It's in really bad shape.
Luck: Mm-hm! Mm-hm!
Klaus' thoughts: Shameful. I still cannot believe we needed the assistance of the Black Bulls.
Klaus: As I was certain we would, we arrived here first, and thus, are the winners of the competition. However, this once, I will allow you to accompany us to the treasure hall.
Asta: Come on, Four-Eyes, could you be any more high and mighty? Thank you so very much, you enormous jerk!
Klaus: You're welcome, and shut your mouth before it gets you in trouble.
Asta: Oh, have I upset you, Sir Spectacles? I'm terribly sorry.
Klaus: I would chastise you for that, but I simply don't have the time for petty, adolescent squabbles with a Black Bull runt.
Asta: Oh, please, Sir Spectacles, I beg your forgiveness!
Yuno's thoughts: We're not just involved, we're committed.
Klaus: Now that is taking it too far.
Asta: Oh, I'll show ya too far, Four-Eyes.
Klaus: Enough! We're off to the treasure hall!
Asta: Let's go!
Asta: Whatever's hidden in there, we're gonna claim it in the name of the Clover Kingdom's Magic Knights!
Klaus: Will you stop yelling?
Noelle: You're one to talk, loudmouth.
Asta & Klaus' thoughts: So...How do we get in?
(Y/N): I could break it down?
Klaus: Don't even think about it swine! There's probably a cipher here somewhere that will allow us to open the door.
(Y/N): Whatever, Four-Eyes.
Asta: Go on and find it, Four-Eyes.
Klaus: Quiet, both of you! And it's not Four-Eyes. It's Klaus.
(Luck walks up to the door.)
Luck: Hm. Looks like it's made out of magic, so you should be able to slice right through. Have at.
Asta: All right!
(Y/N): [whispering] Of course Asta gets to break the door down.
Klaus: Please! As if you'd be able to counter such powerful magic.
Asta: [yells]
(Asta slices the door)
(Imagine Y/N is between Luck & Noelle.)
Asta: There, see!
(The door begins to fade & a bright light appears, once it fades it reveals tons of treasure.)
Asta: This is awesome! [laughs]
(Everyone is in shock & awe.)
Asta: It's like a mountain of treasure!(runs off into the treasure room)[laughing]
Noelle: Hey, careful! We don't know what's in here.
(They all follow Asta & are now exploring the treasure room.)
Mimosa: [giggles] It's so beautiful!
(Y/N): You're beautiful.
Mimosa: (looks to Y/N) Hm? Did you say something (Y/N)?
(Y/N):*blush* No...
Noelle: Look at this bubble thing. What's it even supposed to do? (pokes the bubble)
Klaus: [growls] Enough! Cease your fiddling! There could be priceless magical artifacts in here!
(Imagine Y/N is under Noelle, trying to get her back on the ground.)
Asta: Pokin' around some's not gonna hurt, Captain Short Fuse.
Klaus: Use my proper name!
Asta: Okay, Mister Specs.
Klaus: Don't think I won't hurt you!
Asta: Ooh! I'm scared now.
Klaus: You wretch!
Asta: See? I was right. You got a short fuse.
(Yuno walks by following a glowing green light.)
Klaus: Only because you insist on baiting me, you insufferable twerp.
(Yuno picks up a scroll.)
Yuno's thoughts: What's this? That writing...I've never seen it before. (the writing begins to disappear)
Mimosa & Klaus: [gasp]
(Everyone notices the glowing green light.)
Yuno: It's gone.
(Klaus & Mimosa walk up to Yuno.)
Klaus: What's going on, Yuno? What was that light?
Yuno: I don't know.
Klaus: You shouldn't have touched that. Now put it back where it belongs.
(Nero pulling a strand of Asta's hair.)
Asta: C'mon, quit it, Nero! You're peckin' me to death, here!
(Asta notices some gold plates on a wall.)
Asta: Okay, what about it?
(Nero begins to peck Asta.)
Asta: [yelping]
Klaus' thoughts: (looking at Mars' grimoire) His grimoire, and what a singular one it is. All patched together. Interesting. (looks at Yuno) He got the four-leaf clover, (looks at Asta) and he got something that's so dirty it's barely recognizable. I guess you never can tell.
Luck: Has anybody found anything good?
Klaus: [gasps] (Mars' grimoire goes back to him)
Luck: This magic...Quick, get back!
Mimosa, Noelle, & (Y/N): [gasp]
(Mars breaks through the doors causing dust to stir up.)
Mimosa & Noelle: [yelling]
(Mars sends his diamonds away & it traps Luck, Klaus, Yuno, & Y/N)
Klaus' thoughts: No, impossible! My Binding spell should have held him. He was unconscious, injured. How did he recover in such a time? [gasps] Wait, is that...?
Klaus' thoughts: Flame Recovery Magic? But how? Each mage can have only one magic attribute. The four elements: fire, wind, water, earth. A mage is imbued with mana from one of these. The attributes interact in specific ways. Fire is strong against wind but weak to water. It is a known law that a mage can only use one kind of magic stemming from one of these attributes or its derivatives. Yet, in defiance of that law, he can wield two types of magic. And, while he clearly commands attack magic, he can cast recovery spells, too? Inconceivable! Those jewels? Is this what came of the Diamond Kingdom's experiments?
???: Mars, I know you'll be a wonderful warrior.
Mars: [gasps]
???: I'm sorry, Mars. But this is the only way. You have to die.
Noelle: If I put out those flames, it should weaken him. (creates waterball)
(Mars hits Noelle.)
Mimosa: Noelle's hit!
(Y/N): ...Noelle?
Noelle: [grunts]
(Y/N): First you hurt Mimosa, and now you hurt Noelle!
(Y/N breaks through the diamonds holding him.)
Luck's thoughts: Whoa, (Y/N)'s magic just increased suddenly.
(Y/N): You bastard! I'M GOING TO REDUCE YOU TO DUST!
Mars: Are you sure that you will be able to? You look weak.
(Y/N): I'll show you just how "weak" I am! Strength Magic: Herculean Toss!
(Just focus on the throw.)
Klaus' thoughts: I saw him swing that hammer before and it was strong but this; is something else entirely!
Luck's thoughts: It's not just his magic...it's...
Yuno's thoughts: His brute strength and his magic is just refining it!
(Mars dodges.)
Mars: You mis-
(Y/N is now face to face with Mars.)
(Y/N): Strength Magic: Heavy Hands! (Y/N goes to punch Mars but he calls in a bunch of diamonds to take Y/N's punch)
(Replace Superman with Y/N & replace Manchester Black with Mars. Imagine Mars blocking the punch with a bunch of diamonds.)
(The force of the impact sends Y/N & Mars back.)
(But as Y/N is being blown back, he calls his hammer back & it hits Mars on the back of his shoulder dropping him to a knee.)
Mars: [grunt]
(Y/N): [yelling] (runs to toward a kneeling Mars)
Mars: I don't think so! (sends his diamonds towards Y/N)
(Y/N smashes them all but suddenly...)
*SHINK*
(A diamond sword hits Y/N sending him to a wall & pinning him there.)
(Y/N): [yelps]
Mimosa: (Y/N)!
Asta: Noelle! (Y/N)! (pulls out his sword) Damn you! How dare you hurt my friends? (charges at Mars)
Mars: I've figured out what your ability is now. Seems that sword of yours destroys any and all magic. (mini diamond swords appear around him) But what if the magic is faster than your blade? My magic was faster than your weak friend stuck over there. (sends mini swords)
Asta: Shut your mouth! (deflects the mini swords)
(Mars comes up to Asta & punches him.)
Asta: [yelps] (gets send through a wall)
Mars: (walking towards Asta) Only those who are strong will survive. The weak deserve death.
Mimosa: Noelle!
Mars: Only those who are strong will survive.
Mimosa: Noelle!
(Mars looks at Mimosa healing Noelle.)
Klaus: We're not done! Don't give up!
Luck & Yuno: [grunting]
Mimosa: There's no time for Dream-Healing Flower Cradle. Hey (Y/N), I'm gonna go heal you sin-
(Y/N): No Mimosa! [grunt] Heal Noelle, I'm (coughs blood) fine!
Mimosa: But (Y/-
(Y/N): Just do it! Don't let her die because of my failure...to protect her...
Mimosa: Hang on, (Y/N)!
Mimosa's thoughts: Plant Recovery Magic: Princess-Healing Flower Robe.
Mimosa: Stay strong for me.
Mimosa's thoughts: This is the best Recovery spell I can muster now. It has to work! Please, you can't die. Keep fighting!
(Flashback between young Mimosa & Noelle)
Young Mimosa: (falls over) Ow, ow, ow. That hurt.
Young Noelle: What are you doing, Mimosa? Really, I swear. Are you such a dimwit you can't even walk? Come on. (offers her hand)
Young Mimosa: Thank you, Noelle. I am a bit clumsy sometimes.
(Another flashback involving Mimosa, Noelle, & Y/N)
(Mimosa healing a man.)
Man 18A: [gasp] That's marvelous, Mimosa! Incredible, to be capable of such powerful Recovery magic at her age. Given her strength as a royal, she may very well grow skilled enough to be able to heal any wound.
Noble 7A: Now that would be something to see. Have you heard, though? It appears the second daughter of the Silva house, a girl around Mimosa's age, lacks sufficient control over her magic power. It's so bad that the family had to enlist an outsider just to protect her. Apparently, she has to practice daily.
Noble 18A: For somebody like that to be born into the royal family? I suppose we of House Vermillion are the true royalty of the Clover Kingdom. [laughs]
(Mimosa walks in onNoelle practicing.)
(Imagine Y/N is leaning against the broken pillar watching Noelle.)
Noelle: [panting]
(Y/N): You'll get it eventually, Noelle!
Noelle: [yelling]
Mimosa's thoughts: If it were me, I probably would have given up.
(Back to the present)
Mimosa's thoughts: Members of our class look down on those who put forth effort. Hard work is for the weak and powerless, not for royalty. To us, everything should come easily. But you...
Mimosa: You've always worked hard. And (Y/N), you were always there supporting her. I have always admired you both for it.
(Noelle starts to get better.)
Mimosa: [gasp]
(Mars walks towards Mimosa & Noelle.)
Mars: Only those who are strong will survive. The weak deserve death. Only those who are strong will survive. The weak deserve death.
Mimosa: (notices Mars walking towards her) [gasps]
Klaus, Luck, & Yuno's thoughts: If only I could use my grimoire!
(Y/N): Stay away from them! (tries to pry himself from the wall) [grunt] (but fails to do so)
(Cut to Asta waking up.)
Asta: (looks at his sword) My sword. Noelle! Mimosa! He was right about that magic being fast. My sword's too big and heavy to keep up with it. He changed his fighting style to counter mine. I need to do the same thing. But how?
(Nero shows Asta a new sword.)
Mars: (standing over Mimosa & Noelle) Only those who are strong will survive. The weak deserve death. (sends diamond swords towards Mimosa)
Mimosa: [gasp]
Klaus: Mimosa!
(Y/N): No!
(Asta slashes all the diamond swords with a new sword.)
Everyone except Asta & Noelle: [gasp]
Mars: Where did that sword come from?
Asta: Leave them alone! Your new opponent...is right here! (runs toward Mars)
(Mars sends diamond swords towards Asta, but he is able to destroy them all. After destroying the diamond swords Asta is able to land a hit on Mars.)
Asta: One for me!
(Mars heals the cut.)
Mars: Begone, boy!
(Mars punches Asta but he is able to block it.)
Asta's thoughts: I can bust through his attack spells, but he's still got that Recovery magic. I can't finish him off. What now?
Noelle: Why are you just sitting there, insect?
Mimosa: Don't strain yourself!
Asta: You're awake.
Noelle: Listen to me. I am royalty, Asta. And you are the first commoner I've accepted. Now get moving. And don't you dare give up until you beat him. Understand?
(Y/N): Kick his ass!
Asta: (sword glows) Yeah. I'll bring this guy down, and I'll get one or two hits in for you & (Y/N) while I'm at it.
Mars: Give up. You can't win. I live to destroy the weak!
Asta: Well, you're not gonna destroy me! I may not have any magic power, but what I do have...are my friends! (sends a slash toward Mars)
Mars: You think that's enough to defeat me? (blocks the slash but it still get through)
Klaus' thoughts: Wait, how is that possible? I didn't think he had any magic.
(Y/N's thoughts): That attack...it looked like...
Luck's thoughts: A water-based magic attack? Did he...borrow Noelle's magic?
Klaus' thoughts: What in the world is that sword?
Yuno: [gasps]
Asta: [pants] I don't really know how, but I did it. (looks down to see a piece of diamond in his abdomen) (drops sword) I'm dead.
Noelle: What's happening?
Noelle: Asta!
