Dad- "How come your not talking so loud and yelling at me like you were a few minutes ago where everyone in this office could hear you"
Lissy- I shrugged my shoulders
Dad- "I want you to repeat what you had said to me"

Dad- I looked at her sternly. I still couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth.
Lissy- I looked up at him and saw an angry man
Dad- "Haven't I told you multiple times not to curse"?
Lissy- "Yeah...but"
Dad- "But what Allyssa? Huh? What gave you the idea that you are allowed to curse at me"?
Lissy- "It slipped out by accident. So what? Its not like you don't curse" Shoot!
Dad- "Excuse me"?
Lissy- "whatever Dad"
Dad- "I advise you to watch comes out of your mouth and the way you talk to me. You are in enough trouble as it is"
Lissy- I rolled my eyes
Dad- "I'm losing my patience with you. You either fix your attitude or I will. Do you understand me"?
Lissy- I nodded
Dad- "A verbal response Allyssa"
Lissy- "Yes Sir"
Dad- "Now I have told you a thousand times to watch what comes out of your mouth. Yet you disobey me"
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "You know that I don't tolerate or accept any cursing from you"
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "If you ever curse at me again. I can promise you that you will regret it. Do you understand"?
Lissy- "yeah yeah...whatever"
Dad- "Excuse me"?
Lissy- "Yes Sir"
Dad- "As your punishment for stealing and spray painting. You are going to earn back the eighty dollars"
Lissy- "How"?
Dad- "You are going to volunteer at the animal shelter. You are going to help out in any way they need. Whether its cleaning the kennels, picking up poop, cleaning cages, washing, or paperwork"
Lissy- "Do I get paid"?
Dad- "No. This is volunteering. You don't get paid for volunteering"
Lissy- "That's not fair"!
Dad- "Life isnt always fair"
Lissy- "How long"?
Dad- "During summer break. Since school is ending I spoke to the manager and he says you will working there two days out of the week, Tuesday and Thursday. For two hours each day"
Lissy- "But Dad"!
Dad- "I don't want to hear it. Like I said during summer break. I can however choose not have you work the entire summer only if you show me that you have learned responsibility. Then only then I will reconsider the time frame"
Lissy- "Yes Sir"
Dad- "Addition to that...."
Lissy- "There's more"!
Dad- "That would've been it if you haven't been disrespectful towards me, rude, cursing at me, and given me attitude"
Lissy- I crossed my arms in frustration
Dad- "For the way you treated me that earned you a spanking and the belt. Along with a mouth washing as well. The spanking is for disrespect, rudeness, and attitude. The belt and mouth washing is for cursing"
Lissy- "But Dad"!
Dad- "I don't want to hear it. I've told you too many times to fix your attitude and behavior. Now there are consequences for your actions"
Lissy- "What about the house arrest"?
Dad- "You cant leave the house except for coming to work with me and going to the Animal shelter Tuesday and Thursday for two hours"
Lissy- "At least I get to go out of the house"
Dad- "During house arrest. No phone, no tv, no internet connection, no friends over or going over to friends, and no beach.
Lissy- "But the beach is right behind our house"
Dad- "That doesn't matter. You are only allowed in the house"
Lissy- "What am I supposed to do"?
Dad- "I'm sure you can figure out something to do during that time but I'm sure I can put you to work if you want"
Lissy- "No thank you"
Dad- "I dont want to ever and I mean ever hear that you stole or sprayed painting anything that you are not allowed to. Do you understand me"?
Lissy- "Yes Sir"
Dad- "Good. Now for the spanking"
