NEXT DAY (January 2nd)
TO SAKURA
she woke up and started getting ready for her first day back. things were different, well frankly, she felt different. she didn't wake up this morning as energetic as usual, she rather woke up feeling pretty lazy. in other words, she felt like shikamaru. once she finished putting on a pair of oversize black sweats, the same ones that she wore when she shared her first kiss with sasuke, she decided to tie half of it up instead of leaving it all down. she had been growing her hair for a couple of months but she decided that today she would cut it off after school and make it back to the way it was before. she took one last glance at her mirror before she went downstairs to finally be welcomed by her favourite person, kakashi. yes, she loves kakashi more than anything or anyone else and it shows.
kakashi: finally awake?
he kissed her forehead as she smiled although kakashi noticed her change in style. before he could point it out, sakura started
sakura: i'm feeling tired today, that's all
he smiled and gave her share of the food to her. she began eating and soon after, she took her leave for school. she walked through the snowy streets of konoha and the only sounds that she could hear were her footsteps. everything seemed rather calm than what she had realized but she didn't really mind it. she finally got to school and saw naruto waiting there alone. a smile crept onto her lips as she made her way to her best friend. He looked over to her and noticed her different style. He smiled and the pinkette stood before him
Naruto: your hair is tied up
he scratched the back of his head
sakura: yeah
a little yawn escaped from the pinkette as the blonde boy just stared at her. memories of their kiss flash though his mind as he stared at her. although he knew that he should let her know that he's leaving his feelings behind. or rather, trying to leave them behind.
sakura: it's kind of cold
naruto: yeah. you should've brought a scarf y'know
he slowly started removing his red scarf and stood closer to the pinkette. her emerald green orbs made contact with his ocean blue ones as he slowly wrapped his scarf around her neck. her cheeks were the slightest bit red although he didn't notice due to the fact he practically got lost in her eyes
sasuke: what are you doing dobe
the duos eyes widened as they heard sasukes voice and quickly separated themselves. sasuke went to sakura and wrapped his arm around her as he leaned in to kiss her cheek.
'naruto.....sasuke....'
only a few minutes of them being together and already weird stuff had happened. but even before, naruto would give her his stuff although now whenever he does it, it feels weird.
sasuke: what were you guys doing
sakura: he was just giving me his scarf
he nodded his head and looked up at the sky. the thing is, sasuke didn't think too much of it because he knew that they were that close way before he began to like her. he knew that it wouldn't affect his relationship with sakura in any way. as so he thought.
more of them started to come and soon the bell rang. their usual schedules had began and now they were headed to kakashi's class. sasuke and sakura held each others hands and walked through the halls together. once they got to the classroom, they took their seats and talked.
sasuke: you look lazy today
sakura smiled and nodded
sakura: that's because i'm tired
sasuke leaned in and kissed her forehead
sasuke: i like it
sakura stared into his onyx eyes and felt her heart feel at ease. there were things that sakura couldn't put into words whenever she was with sasuke. although most of them were feelings that made her butterflies go crazy, new feelings started arising in her as well. feelings of confusion, and it started after narutos confession.
sasuke: .....
he grew silent as her eyes started to fill with tears. he looked at her a bit confused but she then got up
sakura: give me a second sasuke
she walked out without any other word. sasuke stared at the door a bit confused as to why she acted like that. he hoped that he didn't hurt her. shikamaru walked in and saw sasukes confused look.
shikamaru: what did you do this time
sasuke: i didn't do anything
shikamaru sat down and looked at sasuke
shikamaru: don't push her
sasuke: hmph
shikamaru: i mean it sasuke
sasuke started to think that something happened that he wasn't aware of but no scenarios managed to form in his head. soon after, the rest of the class made their way in and so did kakashi. class started but sakura still hadn't come back. sasuke started to worry although he decided to give her some time
TO SAKURA
she got pushed to the floor and she felt pressure on her back. she looked up to see the red haired girl with eyes that beamed with sadness
karin: ..... i love him, but he chose you. you know that i kissed him right? yeah well he liked me too. although he let go of me
sakura tried getting up although karin then landed a slap across the pinkettes face
karin: he let go of me because of you!
she yelled and landed one more slap on the pinkette and took her leave. right then, ino came in and saw sakura with her hand on her cheek. the red haired girl left and ino quickly went to sakura
ino: sakura are you okay?
sakura nodded her head
ino: let me finish that uzu--
sakura took her best friends hand and shook her head
sakura: just leave it ino
ino: b--
sakura: please
ino nodded her head and helped sakura get back up. sakura looked at herself in the mirror and noticed that her hair got messed up and that her cheek had a bright red color. she retied it up and sighed
ino: was it because of sasuke?
sakura: yeah
ino: what is up with the uzumaki and beating people up
sakura: let's get to class
ino: hold on let's go to lady tsunades room
sakura: fine
sakura didn't oppose the idea because she was very close with tsunade. tsunade senju, she was the schools nurse and also sakuras role model. tsunade was one of the very few people that she had trusted since childhood. she's also taught all of her skills to sakura that she knew in regards of medical treatments. sakura was truly grateful to tsunade, and tsunade truly loved sakura. they went to her office and tsunades eyes widened
tsunade: why is your cheek so red
sakura and ino explained what happened and tsunade felt herself get angry, very angry
'oh no..'
tsunade landed a punch on her wooden desk which created a crack and a loud bang
tsunade: now listen here sakura, i'm quarter uzumaki and that rage that she has runs in our blood. however, over a boy? seriously? sakura, stand your ground. why are you letting that girl treat you like this?
ino: she's right sakura
'even if lady tsunade is quarter uzumaki, i'd say that with her anger levels, she's inherited more uzumaki than senju. poor Dan kato'
tsunade: i know what you're thinking sakura
the very big chested lady laughed as she ran her fingers over the crack that she made on her desk.
tsunade: you're a nice girl sakura, but you should stand your ground. and i'd say that the uzumaki rage shouldn't be used over love. it was bad enough that sasori did that, but now karin? dammit
ino nervously laughed
ino: well lady tsunade, before you land a punch on one of us by accident, we'll just head out
tsunade and sakura laugh. sakura was used to tsunades rage although ino still had some stuff to get used to
tsunade: i'll let kakashi know you were with me
sakura: thank you lady tsunade
tsunade smiled at her precious girl and the duo until she remembered some news she had for the pinkette
tsunade: sakura, I have something to tell you
