"Excuse me, coming through!" - I said, walking in the crowd of people.
I was really late, and that was all because of my stupid brother.
He can't shower for less than an hour.
Well, thanks to him, I looked like a freak on my first day of college plus, I was late.
The class has started ten minutes ago so I brought my books closer to my chest and quickened my steps.
Suddenly, a tall guy popped out of nowhere and I didn't have the time to react so we hit each other.
My phone fell and my books were all over the ground.
"Oh gosh, I am so sorry." - I apologized.
"No, I am. I should've looked where I was going." - we both kneeled and made eye contact.
Something in this guy's eyes.. it was like a magnet that affected me.
He gave me my papers and I took my phone from the ground, putting it in my bag.
"I'm sorry, once again." - he said.
"No, it's okay." - I said and continued my way.
A minute later I arrived in my college.
I knocked on the door and heard the teacher's voice, allowing me to come in.
"Miss Y/n, is it?" - she said with a firm tone.
"Yes." - I said between breaths.
"I hope this doesn't happen again, but I'll have to give you detention." - the moment she said that my face fell.
During detention, I had to write a one thousand words essay of why I was late and then a girl picked a fight with me for I don't even know what reason.
"How was detention?" - my best friend, Mina came to me.
"Great. I got into a fight with a girl I don't even know." - I said as I stored my books in my locker.
"I guess nothing works out for me today."
- I said and she tapped my shoulder.
"Don't worry, everyone has bad days sometimes." - she said and I relaxed a little.
"Come on, just three more classes and we're free." - she said and we headed to the next classroom.
Thankfully, this day was over and I was so tired I just wanted to go home.
When the bell rang, finishing our last period, me and Mina quickly got out and headed to my house.
"Hi, Jungkook!" - she greeted my brother and I just rolled my eyes at him.
He was always playing overwatch. I am sick of that game.
"Why are you even greeting that jerk?"
- I asked Mina when we sat down on the couch.
"Why not? You have a really handsome brother, Y/n. You should be proud of that."
- she said and I scoffed.
"Nah. But you always talk about him. Is something going on that you haven't told me yet?" - I asked and she blushed.
"No.. why wouldn't I tell you." - she said and looked down.
It was true. Mina is always talking about Jungkook and I had enough of him not noticing her.
That's why I went over to him and took his headphones.
"Y/n!" - he yelled and turned around.
"Hi, Mina." - he saw her and blushed.
"You punk! Notice my best friend more or I'll cut your head off. Now, you two go in your room and leave me alone." - I said and pushed him towards her.
"Ehm, Mina.. do you wanna.." - he scratched the back of his head.
He always does that when he's nervous.
"Yeah, sure." - she said and they both went upstairs.
"And don't do dirty stuff!" - I yelled.
Those love birds. If it wasn't for me they wouldn't even be friends now.
I quickly changed in high waisted shorts and a sports bra.
It was July, and my house was hella warm.
I took my phone from my bag and sat down on the couch.
I turned it on and noticed something different.
"This isn't my lock screen. And I sure didn't change it. Oh my. This isn't even my phone!" - I yelled.
"Y/n, are you okay?" - I heard Mina come downstairs.
Her hair was messy and her lipstick was ruined.
"Aish, I'm fine! Go back to whatever you and Jungkook were doing!" - I said with a disgusted face.
But I was happy for them.
And if Jungkook broke her heart then I wouldn't hesitate to kill him.
"What am I going to do now?" - I laid down, recalling everything that happened to me today.
Then, it hit me. That guy. We probably swapped phones.
With my curiosity inside I unlocked the phone.
I knew it wasn't good to look through it but I couldn't help myself.
First I opened gallery.
Most of the pictures were of his dog, then he had a few with his friends, and the rest were his selfies.
"He's hot." - I chuckled to myself.
Did I just say that out loud?
But I need my phone back.
Opening his messages, I typed in my number and decided to text him.
Stupid Y/n, why did I give him my adress?
What if he's some kind of a drug dealer? Or a serial killer?" - I face palmed.
"Who did you give our adress to?" - I heard Jungkook say. Mina was there, too.
"The guy I swapped phones with." - I said and Mina nodded.
"So, he's coming over?" - she asked and looked at Jungkook.
"Yeah he is, and it looks like he lives near."
"Well, you should invite him. Me and Jungkook will leave. Right, Kook?" - she asked and Jungkook nodded.
"What? Why would I invite him?" - I asked with a shocked face.
"Well.. He seems cute and you're single.."
- she said and winked.
"What? I thought I was the only cute guy in your life!" - Jungkook pouted and Mina cupped his cheeks.
"Aish. Get out!" - I pushed them both to the door.
"Okay okay. We're leaving." - Jungkook said and they left.
I went over my room to brush my hair.
"Oh dear lord! Why am I looking like this?"
- I said, thinking about the shorts and bra revealing my body.
Just then, I heard the doorbell ring.
"Oh shit." - I quickly ran downstairs and opened the door.
"Hi." - there he was again, standing before me.
"Hello. I'm Hoseok. Nice to meet you."
"Y/n." - I said and we shook hands.
"Come in." - I gestured him to the living room.
"Nice house." - he said when he sat on the couch.
"Thanks."
"I'm sorry again, for today."
"No, it's totally fine. Do you want some coffee?" - he nodded and I went in the kitchen to make some.
"Here you go." - I said when I saw him looking at my childhood photos.
I told my mom to not keep those here. Ugh!
"Oh no no no. Please don't look at that."
- I said and he turned around.
"You were really cute." - he said and we laughed.
"Do you go to college?" - he asked and I nodded.
"Riverside High, yeah. What about you?"
- his face lit up.
"Looks like we even go to the same college. I live a few blocks down." - he said and chuckled.
"Is this your first year?" - he asked and I nodded.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" - I asked and turned on Netflix.
"Sure. Are you up for horror?" - he raised an eyebrow and I nodded.
I hated horror. And I was sure I would scream loud tonight.
"How about Annabelle?" - he asked and I nodded. Again.
We made popcorn, and started the movie.
The whole night, I was hiding in his chest while he was laughing and saying that I was adorable.
But overall, I had a good time.
"Hey, um. Do you wanna go out some time?" - he asked when we were at the door.
"Yeah, sure. Oh, your phone, I almost forgot." - I said and handed it to him.
"I'll call you." - he said and left.
"Phew. That went nice."
"It sure did." - the sudden voice scared me.
"Gah! Wha- what are you two doing here? Didn't you leave?!" - I yelled at Mina and Jungkook.
"Nope. We were here the whole night. And I gotta say, he definitely has feelings for you." - Mina said and came downstairs.
"Pfft. No way."
"Hoseok is my friend, he's nice. I approve."
- Jungkook said and I threw a pillow at him.
"Hey!"
"What do you know? You liked Mina for so long but didn't have the balls to tell her! If it wasn't for me nothing would've happened between you two." - I said and Mina gave me a back hug.
"Don't be mad at us, Y/n. But I agree with Jungkook. And it's pretty obvious that you have feelings for him too."
"How can I have feelings for him already? We just met!" - I protested.
"Fine, fine. He said he'll call you. Get ready for your next date." - she said and winked.
"Aish, stop it!" - I whined and threw myself on the couch.
Maybe they were right..
A few seconds later, we heard the doorbell ring again.
Who could it be?
I went over and opened the door.
"Hoseok?"
"I forgot something."
"What?"
He leaned over and kissed me. Then he closed the door and headed home running.
"Ooooouuuuuu sis!" - Jungkook screamed.
"She's blushing!" - Mina said.
I shut my eyes tight and held my burning cheeks, trying to slow down my beating heart.
