-Steves room-
Dad- After leaving Lissy room I went to my room. I sat on my bed trying to process all what happened. I was hurt, sad, angry, and mad. Was I not a good enough father? Was I too harsh on her? Maybe that's why she's been acting up. Part of me wanted to blame myself for her behavior but another part of me knew that she knew better.
Knock knock
Lissy- "Dad"? I said softly while opening his door
Dad- (no response)
Lissy- "Daddy I'm sorry" I said
Dad- (no response)
Lissy- "Daddy say something"
Dad- (no response)
Lissy- "I didn't mean what I said"
Dad- "Then what did you mean by it Allyssa"?
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "Its late Allyssa. Time for bed"
Lissy- "But Dad"
Dad- "Its time for you to go to bed Allyssa. End of discussion"
Lissy- "But...."
Dad- "Now Allyssa"
Lissy- "Night Daddy. Love you"
Dad- "Love you too. I'll see you in the morning.
Lissy- I left his room and went to ber crying. He hates me now for what I had said to him
Dad- After she left I broke down. I didn't want to be harsh but maybe this will work. As much as I want to go in there and hug her I regained my composure and went to take a shower.
-Next Day-
Dad- "Time to get up Allyssa." I said going into her room
Lissy- I yawned and opened my eyes
Dad- "Be downstairs and ready to go in 15 minutes" I said in a calm voice
Lissy- "Yes Sir" I said getting out of bed
-15 minutes later-
Dad- "Food is on the counter" I said as she came in
Lissy- I sat on the stool and ate my breakfast slowly
Dad- "Finish up in 5 minutes" I said
Lissy- "Yes Sir"
Dad- I left the room to grab my badge, gun, wallet, and keys.
-5 minutes later-
Dad- "Let's go Allyssa" I yelled
Lissy- I followed him out the door and to the truck. I knew he was still upset and angry with me.
-Car Ride-
Dad- I didn't know what to do with Lissy. I was upset and angry with her.
Lissy- "Dad I'm sorry for last night"
Dad- (no response)
Lissy- "Are you going to talk to me"?
Dad- "Allyssa I advise you that we don't talk right now. I need to calm down still.
Lissy- I sighed knowing that he was giving me the cold shoulder today. I dont blame him, I've done it to him as well.
-Palace-
Steve- "Head to my office and finish your homework"
Lissy- "Yes Sir" I replied
-Bullpen-
Lou- "Everything well in the McGarrett household"?
Steve- "No"
Tani- "What happened"
Steve- "Lissy went with her friends to the movies and they saw It 2"
Lou- "Isnt that rated R"
Steve- "Some how they were able to get in"
Tani- "Let me guess you found out"
Steve- "Correct and when I asked her about it she denied it multiple times then she eventually confessed that she did watch it"
Danny- "Who did she go see it with"?
Steve- "I think Adam, David, Lexi, and Ann. There are good kids, I dont understand"
Danny- "Well kids give off that they seem good when they are in front of adults"
Steve- "Im not suprised that she lied about it but what I'm more upset about is that she said that she wished she had a different Dad and that I was more loving and caring"
Lou- "Ouch"
Danny- "I'm sure she didn't mean it"
Steve- "The way she said it and the look on her eyes looked like she meant it"
Tani- "I'm sorry Steve"
Steve- "Look enough of that, we got work to do. Junior what do we have"?
-Few hours later-
Danny- "Hey kiddo"
Lissy- "Hi Uncle Danno"
Danny- "Want to talk about it"?
Lissy- "What about"
Danny- "Lissy I know that something is going on and if you dont tell someone your going to explode soon"
Lissy- "I did something awful Uncle Danno"
Danny- "What happened"?
Lissy- "My Dad let me go the movies with my friends and I told him we were going to see but we saw It 2. He found out and when he asked me I denied it saying I didn't go see it. But I eventually confessed that I did go see it. He was upset and angry at me. Things got tense between us and I said that I wish he was a better loving and caring father and that wish I had a different dad than him. I didnt mean to say it. Honest! I was mad and upset and so it came out"
Danny- "Do you wish you had a different Dad"?
Lissy- "No"
Danny- "Then why would you say that"?
Lissy- "I dont know"
Danny- "Look what you said wasn't nice and or respectful"
Lissy- "I know. He probably hates me. He doesn't want to talk"
Danny- "He doesn't hate you. Maybe the reason he doesn't want to talk is, because he is probably hurt, upset and angry right now. Give him some time, okay. You two will talk this out and figure things out"
Lissy- "Thanks Uncle Danno for being there for me"
Danny- "Your welcome Lissy"
