Cole's pov
It was 11:45 at night, lily and I were kissing on the couch. We had been watching a movie, but got quickly distracted. She was sitting beside me on the couch, her hand on my shoulder and her other one on my thigh. We were long past clothes, only in our garments now. She was kissing me deeply, and I returned the passion. I had a hand on her hip and my other one on her cheek. I reached down and grabbed her by under her thighs, pulling her onto my lap. We both kissed deeper, her mostly bare body pressed against mine as we kissed heatedly. I ran my eyes over her beautiful face, her hair messy because of my hands, her eyes as lustful as mine, her neck patterned with a few bruises from a few days before, and her lips slightly parted, longing for mine. She closed her eyes as I closed mine, feeling her lips attack mine once again.
I stood up from the couch, pulling her along with me. I set my wrists to lean against her hips as we kissed, my hands resting on her backside. She had a hand on the back of my neck, playing with my hair with her other hand. She kissed deeply, shoving her tongue into my mouth and smiling against my lips as my tongue wrestled playfully with hers.
"What's going on?" I whispered, pulling away gently as I opened my eyes slowly to gaze down at her in the dim light of the living room.
"What?" She took her lips off mine to ask as she looked up at me, her eyebrows furrowed slightly in confusion.
"You never act like this... and I'm the one who always starts these nights, not you." I teased her, running my fingers through her silky hair.
She looked down, trailing her hand down my body as she wrapped her arms around my waist.
"My surgery is tomorrow... and for at least 7 weeks I won't be able to..." she trailed off, kissing my neck deeply as my eyes rolled back with pleasure. She bit down hard before pulling away slowly. "... I won't be able to have you, like I want you now..." she whispered, slipping her fingers under the waistband of my boxers.
"You could have just told me." I whispered with a soft smile.
"Then let's go." She whispered with a smirk, pulling down the top of my boxers with her thumb a bit.
I gave out a throaty laugh at that as I picked her up. She smiled at my laugh because she liked the sound of it before kissing me the whole way up the stairs to our room.
The next morning
Our morning was slow and steady, as lily liked it. We had been kissing for a while now, holding each other's bodies to ourselves.
It was around 9:30 in the morning and we were still in bed, getting our last moment in with each other before her surgery. She was nervous, I could tell. I knew this because when she was nervous she was touchy of me. Whether it was hugging me or holding my hand, and anything in between, she always touched me when she was nervous. And right now she was laying on top of me, grabbing my body ferociously. She was wearing a silk camisole with shorts and I had a pair of shorts on. She kissed me deeply, gripping my neck with her left hand as sifted my silky hair through the long, thin fingers of her right hand.
"You okay?" I choked a laugh with a smirk as she playfully wrapped her fingers around my throat.
"Never better." She whispered softly, her rosy breath blowing through my mouth.
"I love you." I moaned softly, closing my eyes as I leant up.
"Ditto." She teased before kissing me, tired of my teasing as I traced her lips with my tongue.
Our morning continued peacefully, not much talking as we silently enjoyed each others' presence. We got ready at around 11 and left the house at 11:55am for the appointment. We arrived in front of the doctors office at 11:56.
I wrapped my hand around Lilys', squeezing gently.
"You ready love?" I asked, looking down at her with concerned eyes. "You can always back out." I told her gently.
She glanced up at me with a laugh before throwing me an amused look. "You wish."
She leant over, kissing my cheek before flashing me a beautiful smile. It was a real smile, no hint of force in it. She was genuinely happy to be doing this, which was good and bad at the same time. Bad because she was going into this a bit carelessly, not thinking the consequences and symptoms fully through. Good because at least she wasn't forcing herself into it. I sighed, giving her a small smile back. I wasn't totally and fully excited about this, I still thought it was a bit unnecessary. But I had vowed to her and myself that I'd keep her happy, and that was exactly what she was now.
A wave of rubbing alcohol smell hit me as we walked into the office. This place was a different one from the office we went to before because this was the surgery center.
"I'll check us in." I told lily softly in the waiting room full of people, nodding my head toward the empty seats. She went and sat down on one of the chairs as I walked to the reception desk.
"Good morning, how may I help you?" The older woman behind the desk asked nicely.
"Hey there," I smiled at her. "I'm here to check in for a surgery." I sighed.
"And what would the name be?" The lady asked me.
"Sencen." I responded with my last name, that lily shared with me.
The lady scrolled through her list, tapping her nail on the desk as she did so.
"Sencen, sencen, Sencen..." she murmured to herself as she looked for Lily's name. "Where have I heard of that name?" She whispered under her breath and I smiled at that, knowing she couldn't see my face. If I said Lily's name she'd instantly know that she was Fitz and Linh Vackers' daughter. It was funny how she didn't figure out who I was after hearing Sencen, which was what my mom, dad, brother, and I went by in the elven world.
"Lily... Sencen?!" The receptionist gasped, looking up at me with wide eyes.
"Yup." I popped the p, speaking casually with a smile.
Her mouth flailed for words, she was in shock. "C-c-Cole S-s-Sencen?" She stuttered.
"The one and only." I teased since I obviously wasn't a unique person in the world to say 'one and only' because I had an absolute identical twin brother, Dylan.
The receptionist chuckled at my joke as she checked Lily's name into her computer.
"You may sit down, you're all checked in." She smiled up at me and I nodded.
I went and sat down beside lily. She was gave me a funny look as I tried to hide a smile forming on my face.
"What was so funny?" She asked in a soft voice since we were in the waiting room, confused.
I leant in so I could whisper. "The lady couldn't figure out where she knew the name Sencen from, until she saw your name on the list." I chuckled softly and she smiled at that. It was always amusing to lily, Emma, my brother and I when people remembered who we were when they talked to us.
We talking in soft voices in the waiting room, waiting patiently for Lily's name to be called.
I put a hand on her knee and rubbed gently. "You don't have to go through this love." I whispered against the soft skin of her cheek before kissing it.
She shook her head slowly. "I want to." She whispered, kissing my hand before holding it as I weaved our fingers together with a sigh.
I told her that because I didn't want her to go into this and regret it later. I rubbed my thumb on the baby smooth skin of her palm, nervous for her.
Just then the door to the entrance into the real office opened. Doctor Esme was there, looking at her clipboard.
She looked up, her navy blue eyes searching the waiting room. Her lips turned upwards into a soft smile when she saw lily and I.
"Mrs. Sencen?" She called.
Lily nodded, taking a deep breath before standing up. I stood with her, letting her hold her hand behind her. I walked behind her as she led me into the hallway with her and Doctor Hale in front of me.
Why did I let her do this?
What have I done...
