"Too bad you're Mine and you have to stick with me" he said
I pushed him away but he still wouldn't budge
I turned my face away to see a tinted window barrier between us and the driver
"Well, you didn't think about that when you kissed Nafisa" I said to him
"Does that give you an enough reason to run off with Daniel?" He asked
"Are you even serious? First of all I did not 'run off' with Daniel, I just told him to drop me off somewhere, and then we ended up in an Amala store, and yes I had to run away because if that wasn't a big deal for you, it is for me"
"Why was she even there in the first place?" I added
"She should be the one you're asking not me"
"You're acting like it's not even a big deal , and you're both at fault, you should have her sent her away the moment we saw her, but no, you had to move forward and say 'hi' " I said turning away from him
His hands suddenly moved and he touched my earlobe "one of your earring in missing"
"He's trying to change the topic" I mumbled to myself but I know he heard me
"What ever you're trying to tell me doesn't change the fact that Daniel is getting fired" he told me
"Oh come on" I said
"It's either he gets fired or he's getting punished, I don't think you know but it's not normal to run off with your boss's wife without his permission" he said
I had a huge urge to roll my eyes
I suddenly felt angry "you know, instead of firing innocent people who tried to help me why don't you fire your stupid bodyguard who touched me"
His eyes turned serious and his grip on my waist tightened

Why do I keep getting people in trouble, first it was maman Halima, then Daniel, now it's this body guard
"Which one?" He asked
I kept quiet and I turned the other way to look at the road
"Answer me" he said and he pulled me closer until I was almost on his lap
My head quickly turned to look at him
"Umar what's your problem" I said as I turned to look at the glass barrier to see the driver minding his business looking at the road
"Which one?"
I sighed "I-..I don't know his name, he has a scar under his chin"
"A scar under his chin" he repeated my words while narrowing his eyes on my hand which was placed on my lap
"Vincent" he told himself
"He'll be punished" he told me
"You also deserve to be punished, they are not the only ones who made a mistake today" I said looking at him trying not to glare
"And what is my punishment?" He asked in an amused voice
"I don't know yet, but when the time is right, we'll know" I said
"We'll see" he said
"But please don't fire Daniel, or hit him, or anything, please, it was my fault, not his, please"
He sighed "fine"
He surprised me when his head leaned towards my ear "I'm sorry"
He leaned back before his hand left my waist and he opened the door
That was when I realized we were back home
I went out after him and I closed the door beside me
We walked into the house and I was surprised to see who I saw
"Aliyu?" I called
He stopped talking to Yazid and he quickly turned to look at me "Hameeda"
"It's really you" i said with smile
He returned a nervous smile because he knew very well I'm probably angry at him
Aliyu is Rabiah's ex and one day he just left the city without saying anything to her, his number didn't go trough every time she tried we later heard that he went to military school
I don't even know how he's related to this family
"Rabi'ah is going to kill you" I told him smiling sadly knowing she still likes him
I should have hit his shoulder right now if only Umar wasn't behind me
Aliyu noticed Umar and he grinned before he hugged him
He turned to me "I know, I'm so sorry, I was going to her house right now"
I chuckled "good luck"
"We have a lot of catching up to do when I come back" he said and he ran out the door
Well, I actually missed him
I turned to Umar who was looking confused
"How do you know him?" He asked me
"He's Rabi'ah ex, how do you know him" I said
"He's my cousin, Hauwa and Halima's brother" He said as he ruffled Yazid's hair and he walked away
"Ya Hameeda Ina wuni" I looked down to see the seven year old boy
I grinned at him "lafiya yazid, how was school?" I asked him as I held his hand and we walked to Nona's room
"It was good, I was telling Aliya about the excursion we went to and she got angry, she really wants to go to school Ya Hameeda, please let her go, I don't want her to be upset" he sadly told me
I nodded at him before we went into Nona's room, we greeted her before I left Yazid in Nona's room and I went to Aliya's room
She was on he bed going through a storybook when she looked up she smiled at me
"Hello Ya Hameeda" she said
She has to be really upset, normally she'll run to hug me
I laid down close to her and I hugged her instead "Hello princess"
"Which book are you reading?" I asked her
"Beauty and the beast" she said
"Do you like it?" I asked
She nodded
"Then why aren't you happy?" I asked
"I want to go to a real school Ya Hameeda, I want to go on Excursions with my classmates, I want to make many friends, I want to learn with other people" she said as tears gathered in her eyes
I quickly wiped them away before they fell
"It's for your own good Aliya" I told her
She shook her head "but I feel left out"
"Ya Umar doesn't want me to go to a real school, even daddy once agreed but Ya Umar didn't, maybe he'll Listen to you" she added
Me?
Oh he's definitely NOT going to listen to me
"I don't know Aliya" I said
"Please Ya Hameeda" she said
I knew this was going to get me in trouble
I sighed "fine, but I'm not telling him today and you have to promise me you're going to stop being upset"
She hugged me very tight "Thank you Ya Hameeda!! You're the best!"
"Ok ok, let's read beauty and the beast then" I told her
She placed her head on my chest and I read the story for her
Halfway through the story her eyes were starting to flutter close when Umar walked in
He stopped at the doorway looking at us and for a second something passed through his eyes
"Is she asleep?" he asked me
I could see her eyelids twitching so I knew she was awake
I chuckled "No"
"Ya Hameeda! You were supposed to play along!" She said while giggling
"Oops" I said as I laughed with her
"Aliya come with me" he told her
She nodded and she stood up before she followed him
Since I was all alone I went to Hauwa's room I prayed and we kept talking till it was 10 minutes to 12 she advised me to go back to my room so that I don't sleep in her room and she has to end up carrying me
I laughed at her before I said goodnight and I walked back to Umar's room
He was seated at his usual place in the coffee table
I walked into the closet and I changed into my pajamas and I came out and I was tying my hair into a bun when Umar turned to me
"Come here" he said
"Hm?" I asked
"Come here" he repeated
I walked towards him and I sat down on the chair beside him
He showed my the lock screen of his phone
"What do you see?" He asked me
I frowned "Aliya"
Well...she was on his wallpaper
"No, what's the time?" He asked
"12 am" I said
"And what's the date?" He asked
What's wrong with him?
He should read it out himself
"5th November" I said
My eyes widened in realization when I heard myself
"Happy Birthday" he told me
