-CHARLES-
After long time struggling my way out the crowd, I am finally outside.
-I'm still surprised, by the fact that she broke up with Blake Cohen. It's like a dream come true. Just when I thought I had to give up, this happens...-
My phone vibrates and I take it out.
-Mr. Miller.-
"Yes, Sir?"
"Are you alone, Moores?"
I quickly take a look outside the window then lock the car door, before I answer. "Yes, Sir."
"I just finished reading your folder. I gotta say. You have a lot of talent, young man."
-I like Mr. Miller. He treats me like his son and he is also the first to acknowledge the efforts I put in my works. The complete opposite of dad, who only cares for Creed.-
"Thank you, Sir. I appreciate that." I find myself smiling.
"Again, thank you for cooperating with us. You really brought a lot of hints for the organisation.... How did you find out that Reece Johnson and Blythe Cohen were friends? "
"It took me long, since it is kind of complicated. I somehow, managed to hack into Blyhte's account by luck and found some past conversations with Reece on it. I had to play undercover somehow. The CIA tried to delete the website and all the files in it, however I cracked the code." I admit and think it all through again.
-I spent 3 years on it. Trying to find ways to get inside a forbidden website without leaving any footprints. Yes, I did break the law and the privacy of two persons, but I just had to.-
"Very impressive...When was Reece part of the CIA?"
"At the age of 26 he stopped working for the army and decided to hack into forbidden systems. Somehow the CIA caught him and instead of putting him to a life time prison for breaking several parts of the law, he was hired as a hacker and a hitman." I inform him.
"So in other words, the CIA decided to keep his Identity a secret and decided to kill him after he murdered Blythe."
"Yes, since Blythe was a drug dealer and someone who produced Illegal weapons. A powerful and manipulative man. He was secretly working for the CIA. That is illegal and strictly forbidden cooperating with such people."
"That caused Reece to murder him, since he was one of those peoples, who are against it."
"Reece Johnson was a man who died, because of his instincts. He felt the urge to stop their master plan. It is understandable, since Blythe Cohen is a mysterious and yet popular businessman. You never know what he's up to. Furthermore, he is known worldwide. Reece was wise and played anonymous, while spreading some information about the CIA's top secret plans and their Illegal
weapons. "
"In order to let the media pay attention to his death and cause people to stay curious about it. That's the time where some went undercover just like you. Almost everyone could have found out, who was behind all these... Clever."
I find myself smiling again. -I just love my job.- "The CIA decided to put an end to those investigations and the rapid information getting spread. It took Reece 6 months to give off some of his knowledgements and then he suddenly disappeared. His works and some people, who were working on this case vanished aswell. I'm assuming they were behind all of this. I do not believe in the false rumour about Reece dying in a secret mission."
"Neither do I, Moores... I really am thankful for your great support and all the effort you put into this. Yet, I'm sorry to tell you this my son. But it is not enough. We need more specific evidences and witnesses, if we want the majority on our side." I hear Mr. Miller sigh through the phone.
-Ah fuck... I really despise the law and all these governments thinggy.-
"I know, Sir. I am working on it." I clench my fists and bite my tongue.
-It fucking sucks, knowing that it's not enough...-
"I'm really looking forward to continue working with you in the future, Moores. You might be young, but heck you are way too wise." I hear him chuckle.
"Thank you, Sir."
"Oh, and Charles?
"Yes, Sir?"
"Can you pick up Amanda for me? I'm sorry for asking you a lot of stuffs. I promised her that I'd drive by, but I'm stuck in the bureau again." He sighs.
I look out the window and notice that the crowd is much more less. On the stairs, I spot Amanda checking her phone.
-Gawd, she looks so innocent and cute! Like what the hell? So silent and yet such a strong magnet...-
"No problem Sir. " I assure him and step out of my car.
"Thank you." He hangs up and I stuff my phone into my jeans pocket.
Taking my steps towards her, she lifts her head up and I smile. "Hey, need a ride?"
She smiles back and stands up. "I'm actually waiting for my dad, but I guess he won't be here, again." I notice the disappointment in her lively eyes.
"Mr. Miller is a busy man." I say and she nods. "He told me to pick you up and apologises for not being able to come. "
She flushes and looks away from me. -Awww, she's so cute.- "H-he did?"
I find myself smiling again and want to gently grab her hand. She looks back at me, making me slightly blush. "Yeah."
"I mean, if that's alright for you." She blushes aswell. -Gawd! Why can't I hold a normal conversation with her?!-
"I'm fine as long as it's you." I stupidly spit out and internally curse myself. Her face is heating up.

-AMANDA-
I just got quietly driven home by my childhood crush. It is still surprising that I actually survived sitting next to an angel. He's so distracting and perfect! I can't compete.
-I still feel guilty for Niall getting hurt. I wonder, if he's alright. He hasn't phoned me, after the fight.... I just hope he does soon and everything's fine... and then... Blake. I couldn't reject him. It's not that I wanted to. I admit, my heart rapidly beats when I see him or hear his name. He's kinda like a magnet. I get jealous when someone stares at him. I feel safe around him... but I'm afraid I don't love him so much... Than I think I would... -
It so awkwardly silent. Charles seems so focused at something.
He parks his car and then turns to look at me. I flush and look away. -Dang it! I'm caught!- "I've been meaning to ask...It's been bothering me for a while." -Huh?-
"What is it?" I raise my eyebrows at him.
He clenches his teeth together, making his visible jaw muscle twitch. Then he narrows his eyes at the road. "Who is Niall?"
-Oh no... I forgot. I JUST CLEARLY DUMPED HIM AFTER THE PHONE CALL!-
I awkwaedly smile and look away. "J-Just a friend."
I sense him staring at me. "A friend." He states instead of asking.
-He must think I'm a player!-
"He's a nice guy. Just like Nath! I can talk easily with him, but I wouldn't go for him. I mean, you're nice too! I can talk easily with you! He's just a friend!-" I stop rambling and facepalm myself. -WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?!- "I-I'm sorry..."
I look back up at him and spot his visible dimples. "Why are you apologising?"
"I am rambling too much." I sigh and he grins wider.
With his remaining smile, he answers. "That's alright. I like it when you do that. "
-OH MY...-
I feel my face heating up and look away. -If I'm not going to die, then that's miracle.- "T-Thank you...-
"Are you free tomorrow?" He asks.
"Yeah."
"Do you want to spend time with me?"
-No way, he's asking me this!-
"S-sure." I flush and internally want to slap myself.
He genuinely grins. "Perfect! See you tomorrow." -My heart...-
I smile and wave him goodbye. As I arrived my home I take a peek outside and find him still standing on the car. He stares at my house for a moment and then walks into his car.

I'm currently working on my second book and it will be published once I'm done ^^ It's hard to keep publishing new chapters since I can't write every day, but I'm trying!♡
