"Where we going?" I asked Nick for the nth time. He kept pulling me out of our office and ignored me. Despite him refusing that I go to work, I still dressed up and went to work anyway. I was so tired since I stayed up all night talking to him. He didn't look as tired as me though and he had shaved his stubble.
He looked at neat as always in his crisp black suit. "You're really the most stubborn person ever. I told you not to report to work but you did anyway.." he said and I'm sure he rolled his eyes.
"I've missed so many days at work Nick..." I told him "Stop pulling me will you?"
He didn't listen and kept pulling me till we got out of the building and were in the back of his car seat.
"Take us to the lake." he told his driver and the car soon took off.
"You look so tired cara. You okay?" He asked with his arms around me keeping me warm. I looked up into his brown eyes and smiled.
"I'm okay Nick. Just a little sleepy.."
"I told you not to come but you wouldn't listen. You were up all night.."
"How come you're not tired ? You look so energetic!" I asked him and he smirked.
"I'm kinda used to it. I'm an early riser. We have about 30 minutes till we get to the lake. Come sleep on my chest baby..." he said pulling me closer to his chest.
I couldn't help but sniffing him. He smelled so good!
"Are you sniffing me? Am I a dog ?" He asked and I could hear the amusement in his voice. I looked up at him and smiled.
"Yeah. You smell so good. Is it you or your shirt?"
"It's all me. I can take off my shirt if you want? You can take off yours as well so we can be 'skin to skin' " He said wiggling his eyebrows and I rolled my eyes and laid my head on his chest and tightened my arms round him. He made me feel safe and warm.
He was threading his fingers through my hair like a baby. I could already feel myself sleeping off.
I have no idea how long I slept but I could feel his warmth all over me. I pulled away from his body and found him sleeping soundly. He had his brows creased and but he looked so peaceful.
I just stared at him and admired his beautiful features. I couldn't help but touch his face. And his lips and his nose.
"You done?" He said in a deep husky voice and I widened my eyes. He still had his eyes closed though.Was he up all this while? I then realized I was on his lap. When did I get there? I tried pulling away but he held me close.
He chuckled and opened his eyes. His eyes looked a lot darker than usual and he licked his lips.
"Had a good sleep?" He asked and I nodded.
"You needed sleep as well. You look well rested. How long have I been sleeping ?"
He looked at his watch and answered "2 hours 12 minutes, 30 seconds."
"Does your watch read time in seconds ?" I asked him randomly and he started laughing.
"'No. I count when I'm bored. It's kinda a coping mechanism I grew up with. Cmon, let's go now."
"Awww, this is so comfortable! I don't wanna get up !" I complained playfully and he chuckled deeply and carried me out the car with me in his arms. I smiled on his chest and he walked through some woods before we finally reached a beautiful scenery.
There were two chairs sitting there. "You can put me down now.." I told him and jumped from his arms.
"Wow. You know the best places. Do you come here to think too?"
"Nope. My family owns this place. There's a little house not too far from here. I just felt like bringing you here."
"Oh. It's so beautiful.." I said looking at the whole scenery.
"Yeah." He said but I could feel him looking at me. I took a seat and he sat next to me and took my hands and kissed them.
"You have the most beautiful eyes ever. Remind me of the sea." He told me looking at me intently. Our faces were so close to each other, I could feel his breath on my face.
"Thank you.. I like your eyes too.." I told him honestly. "And I like you.." I added for no reason. I don't know why I said it but I just did.
"Really?" He asked looking surprised with a smile.
First,telling him you want him to kiss you and now , telling him you like him too?
Full of confessions lately aren't ya!
"Yeah. Don't act so surprised!" I said and he smiled looking at me.
"What do you like about me? Tell me Ariane." I didn't expect him to ask that. I started thinking , although I didn't need to think
much. Just watching him with the sea breeze hitting his hair, he looked so handsome!
"Are you fishing for compliments sir?" I asked him with a sly smile and he rolled his eyes.
"C'mon , just tell me. I promise my ego won't inflate.."
"Your Africa-sized ego? Can it get any bigger?"
"I know of something else that can get bigger for you.." he said wiggling his eyebrows and I blushed.
"Oh my God!"
"Speak Ariane, pleaseeeee" he said pulling the 'please'
"Okay fine. Well you're caring and the sweetest ever! And I like how much you care for your sister despite her being a bit bratty, and you're so kind..and—" I kept on rambling for abit and was cut off when he kissed me abruptly. I was in a daze for a minute but he held my face and deepened the kiss.
Yay! Finally! He's kissing me!
Feels euphoric, estactic, amazing, wonderful...
I don't know who groaned and moaned but we pulled away after the need to breathe air.
Breathing now? Like, is it really necessary?
"I like you too. More than you know.." he told me with a smile, kissing my bottom lips that must be pink and swollen from his kiss.
"You have no idea how long I've been dying to do that, I feel like I just drank water after being in the desert for a year.."
"You're so dramatic!" I said laughing and he soon joined me.
"I'm serious though. You know, um, no one has ever said that about me. People usually like me because of my money, the perks they have of knowing me or because I'm handsome. Sometimes I feel like they all want a piece of me but they don't want to know me at all. I feel like no one really gets it. Not even Harry or any of my family...do you get it?" He told me looking at the water. He seemed so lonely sitting there and I felt so sorry for him.
"I do. I like you cause you're handsome too though!" I told him jokingly and he smiled.
"Well I am sexy as fuck right?"
"Noble too!" I told him hitting him playfully..
"You said you had something to tell me,what is it?"
"Umm..um..I-I"
"You can tell me anything Ariane. Go on..."
"Anything?"
"Yes. Anything .."
"What if it's something bad I did? Would you forgive me?"
He frowned and looked at me "Are you in some sort of trouble cara?"
"N-no.. just answer me."
"I'll forgive you for anything Ariane but for betrayal. I can't stand it." I said and my eyes widened.
Oh God! He'll never forgive me after this!
"Um..I.. nothing.."
"Tell me Ariane, what is it?"
"Nothing.. nothing at all."
"It can't be nothing...you wouldn't have asked if you had nothing to say." He said insisting and I shook my head fervently.
"I-I'm not ready to tell you right now.. give me time please.." I begged him holding back tears.
"Alright. You can tell me anything, like I said.."
"Yeah."
"Should we go inside?" He asked and I nodded. He helped me get up and we started walking for while. I could see the house from a distance. He had his arms around me keeping me warm.
"Who's Cami?" I asked him and I felt him stiffen and stop talking. I looked up at him and saw the frown on his face. I don't know what prompted me to ask him but I just did. He didn't answer me and we kept walking until we finally got into the house. It was a beautiful house.
I took a seat on the window ledge and he had not answered me yet.
"Nick?"
"Why do you want to know? Have you been snooping through my things? Is that what all this is about?" He asked harshly and I widened my eyes in surprise. He looked livid with his fists clenched.
What is he talking about ?
"What? What are you talking about?" I asked him going closer to him and he stepped back.
"Answer me.Why the hell do you want to know about her so suddenly ? Are you spying on me? Who the fuck sent you?" He said raising my voice and I stepped back as well.
" Why are you yelling at me?!"
"Answer the damn question Ariane!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about! In heard Harry say her name once so I decided to ask you about it! I didn't know you'll get so upset!" I told him honestly and I saw him close his eyes and take a deep breath.
"I-I'm sorry.. I —I got way out of line." He mummers
"You got that right. Can you take me home? I'm tired." I told him angrily. Why the hell was he yelling at me?
"Ariane please," he said coming closer to me and hugging me. "I'm sorry..it's a sensitive topic...it's a part of my past I don't like re-telling.."
"Talk to me then. Don't yell and accuse me of stuff I know nothing about."
"I'm sorry baby..." he said kissing my forehead and I hugged him back.
"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have brought it up. I didn't know it was a sore subject..do you want to talk about it?"
"I-I'm not ready..I'll tell you about it, just not now." he whispered in my hair whilst kissing it. He walked us to the spacious living room and we took a seat on the couch.
"There are a lot of stories in the tabloids...don't believe any of them .."
"It's in the tabloids?" I asked him. I had no idea! I would have looked him up instead of asking him.
"You don't know? Everything about me is in the papers even on the news. You didn't know that?"
"Believe it or not, I knew nothing about you until I met you..w-well, I'd heard Harry mention you but other than that..."
"Really?" He asked looking so shocked.
"Yeah." I told him
"Really?" He asked again looking even more shocked and I burst into a fit of laughter. "Are you that famous?"
"Uh, yeah? This is a first, honestly. Anyway, don't read any of the stories alright? I'll tell you everything myself.."
"Okay. I won't.."
"Promise?" He said and I smiled at him. "Pinkie swear Caro." I said and we did the pinkie swear and when I was about to pull away he pulled me closer and kissed me deep.
"What was that for?" I asked him after a second of breathing.
"No reason baby... you're just so irresistible.." he said smiling softly. I looked up at him and kissed him treading my fingers through his soft hair causing him to groan. I could feel him get excited down there and pull me even closer to him and take over the kiss.
I pulled away and we were both breathing so fast!
"You make me lose my goddamn mind.. Penso che io sia dipendente da te.." (I think I'm addicted to you) he muttered in a deep husky voice with his pupils dilated a deeper shade.
" Me too.." I said biting my lips. I'm sure I looked as red as a tomato!
"Give me a minute to um...fix myself..then we can have lunch.."
"Fix your—oh! Oh! Go ahead and do that..I'll just be waiting here.." I said trying not to look at his pants. He chuckled and pecked me on my lips before going through a hallway to what I'm guessing, should be the bathroom.
I took that opportunity to look round the house. There were not a lot of pictures but there was a baby picture of Nick.
"Oh my God, he looked so cute as a kid!" I said to myself. I could just imagine a child looking the exact same way,maybe with blue eyes instead ..
I shook the thought away as quick as it came. How could I be thinking of that?
Kids? With Nick?

A few minutes later I could feel his presence behind me. I don't know why I was still standing in front of his picture.
"Oh, you're staring at young Nick. I was cute wasn't I?" He said and I knew he was smiling.
"Yeah. The cutest I've ever ! Look at your cheeks.."
"Don't worry baby.. when we have ours, he'll be a lot cuter.."

"W-What?" I said blinking quickly and he burst into a fit of laughter. "You should have seen your face!" He said laughing so hard.
"You're so annoying!" I told him rolling my eyes playfully.
"That was a good one huh? Alright, let's get going now.. I'm hungry as fuck" he said after his laughing fit.
"Why's there just pictures of you?" I asked as he escorted us out of the house and into the car.
"My other siblings weren't born yet when my parents got this house. It was just me until they ruined my life a couple years later.." he said jokingly and I laughed.
We got into the car and drove off making small conversation.
At the end of the day, I realized the mistake I made when I accepted Harry's deal..
Oh God, Will I be able to handle it?
