The sunlight streaming through the large windows was what broke Mason out of her slumber. She noticed the stiffness in her neck and the fact that her lower back was sore.
A soft groan fell from her lips as she realized her head wasn't resting on her pillow but on a thigh. Her eyebrows furrowed together and she lifted her heavy to head to see where she was.
Sebastian was resting with his head against the armrest and a pillow. He was lying on his side with one leg stuck out and the other pressed against the couch. Mason laid in between his legs and had been using his thigh as a pillow. He was awake, his phone in his hand, though his eyes were now on Mason as she woke.
"Hey sleepy head."
Mason groaned in protest as sleep still controlled her emotions. Her head fell back onto his leg and she wrapped her arm around it, pulling his thigh closer towards her as she fell back asleep.
Sebastian laughed to himself. It was still early, and they had been up late, so he figured her sleeping for another hour or two wouldn't be that bad.
His phone vibrates on his hand and he averted his gaze back towards it.
