It's been a month. Fall is coming, which means every student is busy taking their exams and preparing presentations. Same goes for me and Amanda. I wonder what she's thinking right now. I confessed to her 2 weeks ago... Was I too soon? Should I have waited a bit longer? Should I tell her that I've been crushing on her since 10th grade? What do I say though?... 'Hey, I've been watching you play the piano every Fridays and I fell in love with you. Yes, I stalked you and even thought about our future together. Did I mention that I have written a book about us?'... Okay, gross!- Thinking about saying that, makes me shiver myself.
"What the fuck are you doing Little bro?" Lance nudges me with his elbow. -Ah fuck.-
"N-nothing." I murmur in embarrassment and continue wrapping my knuckles. -Shit... He caught me. Out of all people, it had to be him.-
A creepy grin flashes across his face. -As if he ain't creepy enough!- "Oh really~ Okay, whatever. Stop thinking about that. That shit's nasty!" He marshes towards the others, leaving me open mouthed in the bench.
-WHAT THE FUCK?! Gawd! I'll kill him later! I've got better things to do right now.-
-I guess, I'm day dreaming too much. Can't help it though, she's always in my mind.... FUCK! THINK ABOUT YOUR FIGHT, RAVEN! I NEED TO GET BACK TO MY SENSE!... I have to win this match otherwise I can't go home... I surely will not go home empty handed. Fuck no! Mum needs the cash to pay our bills. Troy needs to pay something for school. Eve wants the doll... That's right. Father isn't here any longer, so get your ass up and beat the shit out of them!-
The others wave at me and I stand up. My opponent is already inside the ring. I can hear the crowd howling and shouting. I blend the background voices and quickly analyse him.
-Scary face? Yeah. Scars around them? Yes. Built? Yes. Older than you? Yes. Could be a veteran? Probably. Looks like he knows how to fight? Yes. Do I wanna give up? Fuck nah!-
"You down?" Kace raises an eyebrow at me as he takes my coat off my shoulders.
I grin at him. "You know I am." -Shit, I should've taken my mouthguard with me. I don't even know how strong his punches are, but I know that God won't leave my side.-
I pray before I start a fight. Not for myself, but for my opponent, who's about to get beat up.

"Whew~ You sure scared me, little bro!" Lance chuckles while driving the car.
"Same here, man. I thought you were going to die!" The latino man beside me pulls me into a hug. -Gross...-
Kace grins at me. "Ya'll are underestimating him too much."
Kim and Sam turn to look at us. "You mean, overestimate." -What..-
"I think, I perfectly handled the situation." I mutter to my defend.
-It was a close fight. I underestimated my opponent. He was one of the strong guys, you don't get to see everyday. I almost got knocked out, if I didn't quickly block it with my right hand. I still felt the power though. I just hope my brain cells aren't as fucked as they are in math... I feel dizzy-
"Yeah, by running away." Sam jokes and I punch his arm.
"Shut up, I did knock him out before he did it to me." I groan and they laugh out loud.
-Atleast I've got the money for my family.-

We are sitting inside a fast food restaurant. -No, it wasn't my idea. I wanted to go home, but someone called LANCE, decided to park here.-
Somehow, we ended up meeting Nathan, Courtney's boyfriend.
Lance ordered 6 big ass pizzas for the squad and drinks. All of them seem to be having a good time. It's either they are stuffing themselves or listening to Lance's story, on how he met a hot chick.
-I decided to not listen to it. I don't believe him anyways, I mean... Lance, C'mon...-
The boy opposite me has been staring at me for long. -How rude...- "What's your relationship with Amanda?" Nathan is still looking at me and the squad shut their mouths.
-I like Nath. He's a matured dude and wise. I feel sorry for not dragging him into our part time job. We could be a better squad with him. The only thing is, I don't know if I can trust him. I mean, we're doing illegal stuffs.-
"We're just friends." I assure him and can't help it, but hide the disgust in my face as I said 'friends'.
-Gawd... I hate it when I have to friendzone myself.-
Sadly, my peeps called squad, are too obvious and laugh out loud. -I really need to find new friends.-
Nath raises his eyebrows with a smile. "I see... You know, Amy is a good girl. She deserves better." -How protective, as if I were a beast... as much as I hate it, he's right. She deserves a full man.-
Lance slings his buff arm around Nath's shoulders and grins. "Oh trust me Nathan~ She already has the better one." -This bastard...-
"What do you mean?" The innocent boy asks.
"Raven confessed to her." Sam blurts out and I immediately shoot him a dead glare.
-YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!-
Nath looks shocked and stares back at me. -Great... now he's going to hate me even more and I thought we could be friends.- "You did?"
"Yeah. Is that a problem?" I stare into his bright blue eyes.
-"I have my own decisions. I decide what's best for me." No, Raven. You can't say that infront of her bestfriend.-
Dash is the first to laugh out loud and drags the others to join him. Only Nath and I are glaring at each other. -I think he officially hates me now.-
Nath sighs and leans back to his chair. "I'll say this once... Don't hurt her. If you do, you know what will happen. She's like my own little sister and I hate it, if she's sad." He glares. -I see. He's taking the brother role.-
I unintentionally smile at him. "Looks like we're on the same boat." The idiots have their mouths open and Lance tries to get our attention. -Nervous? I guess so-
Nath grins back. "Hey, you aren't as bad as I thought." -Problem solved.-
I place my hand on my chest as if I'm offended. "You really think that low of me? Ouch." He laughs and I join him.
Meanwhile, the idiots look like we're aliens. "Are you... fucking with us?" Kace spits out and Sam takes a slice of pizza.
"I thought you are going to beat each other, black and blue!!! What. the. fuck?!" Lance places his hands to his head. Kim shakes his head and Dash covers his face.
Nath shakes his head and takes a sip from his drink. "Nah, Raven is alright. Say, why aren't you dating her yet?" -Wow, that was fast. Didn't he just hate me a couple of minutes ago?-
"I'm waiting for her." I admit making him smile wider. "I think I've confessed too early?" He shakes his head again.
"She's new to this. Give her some time. I know, you all noticed how stubborn and naive she is. She'll notice her feelings a little bit later." He warmly smiles while thinking of her.
-I should feel jealous about that, but Nath is a good friend. Good to know that she met someone this protective and gentle before me.-
"HEY! ARE YOU NOW COMPLETELY IGNORING US?!" Lance yells and I shoot him a glare.
"I'm sorry about him." I say to Nath and he laughs.
"You're forgiven." He jokes and I grin back.
"Wow~ and now you're bestfriends or what?!" Lance growls and slings his pizza with one bite.
"Weren't you glaring at each other a while ago?" Dash looks confused and we laugh. With we, I mean Nath and I.
-Good thing, I've finally met someone who thinks like me.-
