A bright but cautious pair of green eyes that belonged to Emily Gilbert slowly sneaked open after a couple of hours of sleeping. The human doppelganger slowly turned her body and looked at the alarm clock on Stefan's bedside table and saw that it was just turning five in the morning. Thank God I didn't oversleep, Emily praised herself as she needed to make a clean escape without her boyfriend, sister, or her sister's boyfriend catching her when she was going to do something that they would definitely not like.

Emily slowly turned her body onto her back so she was flat on the comfortable king sized bed as she began her plan before she softly lifted up her boyfriend's arm that was settled lowly on her waist. The Gilbert girl felt herself flinch every single time that she heard Stefan make some type of noise or move before she let out a silent sigh of relief after she quickly slipped out of the bed and noticed Stefan cuddled up to her pillow thinking it was her.

Emily, any other time, would take the time to coo over her cute boyfriend or even take a picture for blackmail later on but the human girl knew that she needed to hurry up before someone woke up since she was staying in a house full vampires with extremely good hearing. So, instead of watching her usually stressed out boyfriend peacefully sleep, Emily tip-toed out of Stefan's bedroom as quietly as she could before she walked across the hallway to her bedroom.

The Gilbert girl didn't even bother closing the door behind her as she knew that she needed to be fast. Emily only hurriedly walked to her closet and pulled out a simple pair of black leggings, a grey sweater, and her signature leather jacket. The human doppelganger didn't really care what she looked like at the moment, so she quickly slipped on her comfortable outfit along with a pair of Nike running shoes and grabbed her black purse that she had stashed Darina's journal in before she fast walked right out of her bedroom.

Emily carefully tip-toed as best as she could in her old sneakers while she walked down the staircase of the boarding house before she headed towards her destination in the basement. The Gilbert girl couldn't help but release a sigh of relief once she was standing in front of the steel door to the cell with no one hearing her. Half way done with my mission, Emily thought to herself before she slowly opened the heavy door of the cell and made her way inside to get the answers and help that she needed.

The human doppelganger couldn't help but lose her breath, though, as soon as her green eyes went to the small cot in the cell and saw Elijah's temporarily dead body. Emily had, sadly, seen many dead vampires in her day like Vicki and Lexi but, for some reason, seeing Elijah like that gave Emily an uneasy chill down her spine. The Gilbert girl figured it had something to do with her doppelganger connection with the people in Darina's past but she didn't have time to think about it right now.

Instead, Emily cautiously and slowly walked up to Elijah's temporarily dead body on the cot. The Gilbert girl stared down at the original's body for a few seconds with a frown playing on her lips before she shook herself out of her frozen state. Emily then focused her green eyes solely onto the dagger in Elijah's chest before she wrapped her hands around the handle and pulled as hard as she could.

It took a few tries but after the third yank, the dagger finally and thankfully flew out of Elijah's chest - which ultimately caused for Emily to fall flat on her ass. The human girl huffed out a sigh when she felt herself hit the hard and dirty ground before she tiredly lifted her body up. Emily then dusted off the dark dirt from her black leggings before she moved her green eyes back to Elijah's body.

Emily frowned as she stared down at Elijah as she noticed the original's body still looked dead. The human girl honestly didn't know how long it would take for Elijah to wake up from his temporarily death - which made Emily a tad bit nervous. Emily thought that she would wake Elijah and get him out of the boarding house to talk away from her bodyguards, so she definitely didn't take in the account that she would have to wait for him to wake from his slumber.

The Gilbert girl couldn't help but begin to pace the small cell in the Salvatore basement after only two minutes of holding the dagger in her hand. The waiting game made Emily anxious and nervous about basically everything that has happened lately as it gave her time to actually think for once. Emily didn't even really have a plan for what she was going to say to Elijah when she only made the decision to wake him up last night after Bonnie was hurt by Klaus.

The human girl was just tired of everyone that she loves getting hurt because of the sacrifice and because of who she is, so Emily knew that Elijah was her only option in protecting them all like he had done before he was daggered. Emily also knew Elijah was the one person that she needed right now because of the letter Katherine sent to her - which was currently resting in her black purse - as the Petrova vampire mentioned that Elijah is the key for her to survive.

Emily honestly didn't know how Elijah was the key to keeping her alive when the last two doppelgangers died with him around but the human girl just felt like she could trust that the original did actually have the answer. The Gilbert girl figured that had something to do with the connection that she always feels around Elijah - thanks to whatever relationship that her doppelganger and the original had together. Emily still didn't understand the whole connection thing but she knew Elijah and Darina obviously cared a lot for one another and Emily figured that was why she trusted and felt something towards the original.

The running thoughts going wild through the human doppelganger's mind, however, was soon interrupted before Emily could think any further about the sacrifice or the doppelganger connection as there was suddenly a loud gasp that definitely didn't come from her. Emily swiftly snapped her head up from the dagger that she was twirling in her hands at the noise before her green eyes immediately widened when she noticed that Elijah was gasping and thrashing around the cot as he began to wake from his temporary death.

The human doppelganger quickly dropped the dagger to the ground before she quickly rushed towards Elijah's body as she could feel that something wasn't right. Emily was honestly a few minutes away from panicking as she didn't know how she was supposed to help. Emily did know how to comfort someone, though, so she tried to do that as she placed her hand down onto Elijah's chest to, hopefully, stop his thrashing around.

Emily released a thankful sigh when the original pointed his brown erratic irises in her direction and stopped moving - except for the loud gasps coming from his mouth. The human girl gave Elijah a small assuring smile as she tried to help him relax from whatever the hell was happening to him. "Elijah," Emily gently murmured as she lightly rubbed his chest before she offered the original some comfort to calm him, "hey, you gotta relax. You're okay."

However, the Gilbert girl didn't get the reaction that she thought she would from her dazzling comforting skills. Instead, Elijah stared directly into her green eyes with his brown irises widened with a mixture of shock and adoration. The original was still gasping for air while his body slowly turned back to its normal color before Elijah opened his mouth and uttered his first words since he had been awake from his temporary death, "Darina!"

ENGLAND 1492

There were people in their finest clothes drinking, laughing, and talking with one another inside of a large mansion as a party was underway like always when the sun would disappear from the day and the bright moon would rise. However, this wasn't just any ordinary party that the citizens of England would have for the chance to dance, eat, and drink together. No, it was a birthday celebration for a very important man.

The human people in the mansion, however, didn't know that the birthday man could kill them without a second thought expect for one by the name of Trevor. The man or vampire had been looking out for the man of the hour while he mingled with the locals of England before he found one of the men that he had been waiting on. Trevor quickly excused himself from a woman that he was politely speaking to before he headed straight towards the much older vampire.

"Ah, good evening, Trevor," the long haired vampire murmured once he recognized the face as one of his men coming towards him. "I am pleased you could join us," Elijah politely uttered in his usual calm and steady voice with a small nod of his head as he stared across at the young vampire.

Trevor gave the older vampire a small, boyish grin before he stated, "I could not miss the birthday celebration."

Elijah shook his head in agreement before he uttered as he remembered the promise Trevor had made a few hours earlier, "no, considering the gifts you claim to bear." The older vampire twitched his head to the side with a gaze of curiousness in honey brown eyes before he inquired, "where are these mystery sisters of which you speak?"

The younger vampire gave his elder a wide grin, once again, at the mention of the present that he had brought with him tonight. Trevor turned his body to the side and held out his hand before he murmured, "right this way." The two vampires then moved their way through the roaring party for a minute or two until Trevor and Elijah came to a stop in front of three women. Trevor lightly placed his hand onto the two sisters's shoulders as he politely uttered to get their attention, "ladies, I hope you don't mind if we interrupt for a moment."

The young girl with the bright green eyes was the first one to say anything as she gave the man who she had been lately accustomed to a small smile before she told him, "of course not, Trevor. You know we adore your company." The young girl, Darina, then turned her attention onto the man that she hadn't met and gave him a soft smile before she politely murmured, "hello, sir."

There was a small awkward silence that followed straight after Darina greeted the man before the aforementioned girl bumped her hip into her twin sister's and gave her a pointed look. Katherine, the younger sister, looked at Darina with an annoyed eye roll as she didn't even want to be here tonight before she finally faced the unknown man. "Hello," Katherine politely uttered with a fake smile plastered on her lips to please her sister since Darina thinks being kind was something that they needed to do to survive outside of their home country.

However, the older vampire, Elijah, didn't notice the silent bickering going on between the two young girls and the scolding from the older woman behind them. Instead, the original felt frozen in his place as he glanced between the sisters. Elijah was in such a shocked state at the fact that the young girl with the brown eyes looked exactly like Tatia Petrova - the girl he used to love. The doppelganger, however, wasn't all that shocked the original. It was the beauty and angelic aura that the green eyed girl was giving off. Elijah felt like he was stuck in a trance with the young girl and it made Elijah feel something that had been unknown to him for centuries.

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE

"Oh, crap!" Emily mumbled to herself with her green eyes widened once she realized that Elijah thought that he was looking at her doppelganger right now. "Please do not attack me," the human girl mumbled as she didn't know how the original was going to react when he thought that he was gazing at someone who had died and who he obviously cared about.

Emily knew that she really needed Elijah to calm down right now since he was dreaming or in a trance along with the fact that the three vampires in the boarding house could here him, so the human girl decided to convince the original that she wasn't who he thought she was. "Elijah," the Gilbert girl shouted in a whisper as she bent over the small cot and locked her green eyes with Elijah's brown ones before she quickly told him, "it's me, Emily. You're in the boarding house."

However, once again, Emily didn't get the reaction that she thought she would from her comforting skills as the original instantly began to panic even more than he already was. "Shit," the human girl swore as she realized Elijah was basically having a vampire panic attack right now, so she quickly gripped onto his cold hand to hopefully calm him down. "Hey, it's alright," Emily softly exclaimed as she squeezed his hand before she continued to get him out of his panicking, "come on, Elijah. You're okay."

The original vampire couldn't even hear a word that was coming out of the girl in front of him as he could feel his mind switching back and forth between two images of the same person and he didn't know which one was real. It made Elijah feel confused and feel a lot of pain by looking at someone that he has loved for centuries and someone that he had missed every single day of his life. "Oh, my God," Elijah couldn't help but gasp out as he could feel himself being pulled into another memory of the young girl in front of him.

***

ENGLAND 1492

Elijah briefly shook his head after a moment as he realized that he had been staring at the two young girls longer than he should have. The original gave each girl a small smile before he focused onto the brown eyed girl and apologized for his actions, "forgive me. You remind me of someone." Elijah then moved his gaze over to the green eyed girl with a soft smile playing on his lips before he continued with his apology, "and you, my lady, are just such a beautiful surprise."

The young vampire, Trevor, cleared his throat after a minute or so to gain his elder's attention from the green eyed human girl before he introduced his present to the original as he pointed to each person, "Lord Elijah, I would like you to meet the twins; Darina and Katerina, along with their friend, Maria."

The Radkova witch didn't like the vibe that she was getting off of the man in front of her. She could tell that he was a vampire like Trevor and Rose-Marie, so Maria made a mental note to keep an extra eye on the man if he was going to be around the Petrova sisters. However, Mia did know that she had to be polite while they were in England, so the Radkova witch curtsied in front of the man that was obviously important before she quickly took her protective stance behind the twin girls.

Elijah gave the older woman a small nod to show his appreciation before he moved on to the girl that looked like Tatia Petrova as he held out his hand. The younger sister, Katerina, immediately placed her hand into the man's like the polite girl that she was not and shook it. Katerina then took a step back to curtsy like Maria had done before she politely uttered to please her sister, who had scolded her earlier for her rude behavior, "pleasure, my Lord."

Elijah, once again, nodded his head with a polite smile and uttered, "as well as it is mine, Katerina." The original vampire then quickly moved his brown eyes to the one person that he could stare at forever once the younger girl, Katerina, took another step back and the green eyed beauty took her place.

Darina softly placed her hand into Elijah's rough one with a small smile playing on her lips and a light blush playing on her cheeks. The green eyed girl stared directly into the man's memorizing brown irises for a few moments as she couldn't help but instantly feel a new emotion that she had never experienced before she murmured, "it's an honor to make your acquaintance, Lord Elijah."

Elijah slowly brought the brunette girl's hand up to his mouth as he continued to hold eye contact with her before the brown eyed supernatural being placed a gentle kiss onto the human girl's warm skin. "Please, Darina," the original vampire uttered with a soft smile playing on his lips before he requested, "call me Elijah."

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE

The human doppelganger sighed in relief when the original vampire's head softly landed onto the cot instead of him continuing to stare at her like she hung the sun and the moon. Emily honestly didn't know and couldn't even imagine how Elijah was feeling right now, so she just continued to offer her comfort as she squeezed Elijah's hand to hopefully calm him down. The human girl prayed that her comforting skills would actually work this time as she sat on the edge of the cot so they could hurry and get out of the boarding house before they got caught by her bodyguards and ruin her whole plan.

However, the calmness and Emily's prayer, sadly, didn't get much further than a minute or two because suddenly the original vampire's body began to spasm all over the cot while Elijah started to loudly gasp again - which ultimately pushed the human girl off of the cot and onto the dirty ground. "I can't - I can't breathe!" The original vampire exclaimed as he grabbed at his chest in pain. Elijah moved his frantic eyes up to Emily once she pulled herself up from the ground before he hurriedly asked, "what's happening to me?"

The human doppelganger, though, didn't even get the chance to open her mouth to try to explain what was going on, even though she was completely clueless to what was happening, before Elijah swiftly tossed himself out of the cot and rushed over to the door. However, the original was so disoriented that he couldn't even make it out of the cell before he ran into the doorway.

Emily quickly jogged up to the original vampire when she noticed that he was basically about to fall on his ass - like she had already done twice this morning. "Hey, you need to relax," the human doppelganger quietly mumbled as she wrapped her arms tightly around Elijah's waist to hold him up. Thank you, cheerleading, Emily mentally praised while she held the original up as she knew that she would be on the ground with Elijah if she didn't practice her balance and build muscle over the years thanks to her co-captain position.

"I can't..." Elijah began as he leaned his head against the human girl's collarbone while he started to say he couldn't breathe before he froze when he finally realized what was happening to him. "I can't be in this house," the original vampire quickly told Emily as he remembered experiencing this feeling once before in his vampire life.

Emily's green eyes immediately widened as the pieces were finally placed together. Duh, dumbass, the human girl scolded herself as she completely forgot about that. "Crap!" Emily voiced her surprise to the original before she explained what happened, "I forgot we changed the ownership of the house." The human doppelganger then quickly wrapped her arm around Elijah's waist, after she swiftly grabbed her purse and the dagger, and uttered as she rushed him out of the basement, "I have to get you out of here."

However, while Emily tried to help Elijah out of the house that he couldn't be inside as fast as she could, it wasn't as fast as the original could handle since once they reached the foyer of the boarding house, Elijah instantly began to slam into different walls before he finally vamp sped outside of the house - where he immediately began to get his breathing back.

The human doppelganger let out a thankful sigh when she noticed that the original was standing outside - well, more like bent over as he tried to gain his breathing. Emily was glad that Elijah had made it, though. She was also pleased that she couldn't hear any of the other vampires in boarding house moving around after all the noise the original had made.

It took a few minutes of Elijah bent over his knees as he tried to breathe normally and the human doppelganger nervously glancing at the original and at the staircase before Elijah finally stood up straight and went to enter the boarding house. Elijah couldn't help but roll his brown eyes in annoyance, though, when he remembered that he wasn't invited in anymore. The original settled on resting his hands on either side of the doorway since he couldn't enter before he interrogated Emily with anger in his voice, "what happened?" The last thing Elijah could remember happening was talking to the human girl at the Gilbert lake house - where he made another deal with the doppelganger.

Emily quickly placed her finger to her slightly chapped lips as soon as she heard Elijah's gravel and loud voice before she nervously took another glance up to the staircase. The last thing in the world the human girl wanted to happen was to get caught by the three protective vampires when she already went through all this trouble, so Emily held up her point finger to tell Elijah to wait a second before she turned around. The Gilbert girl then quickly jogged up to the small table by the door and went to grab the keys to her Honda.

However, while Emily touched the coldness of her keys, she paused suddenly as she had another idea. The human girl knew Elijah was probably weak right now from not having any blood for awhile, so Emily changed her mind and swiftly grabbed the keys to Damon's Camaro since she knew he had a stash of blood bags hidden in his vehicle. Please don't kill me, Damon, the human girl prayed as she quickly jogged back up to Elijah before she stepped out into the sunning but chilly air of Virginia and closed the front door behind them.

The human girl and the original vampire walked in silence for a few minutes as they moved down the long driveway towards the light blue vehicle before Emily explained what happened when Elijah continued to look over at her, "you're not exactly supposed to be awake." Emily didn't explain anymore than that as she opened up the passenger door for the exhausted vampire and let him inside. The human girl waited until Elijah was in and closed the door before she walked to the back of the Camaro and popped open the trunk. Thank you, Damon, the doppelganger praised when she saw a container of blood bags in the back of the trunk.

Emily swiftly grabbed two blood bags from the Salvatore's stash and quietly closed the trunk before she hurriedly rushed into the drivers seat of the Camaro. "Drink," the Gilbert girl commanded to the vampire once she closed the door to the vehicle and handed Elijah the blood bags. Emily waited until the original began to drink the blood and he began to get even more of his color back before she released a sigh and continued to explain why he was awake right now, "listen, I know things didn't exactly go to plan the last time we saw each other but things changed and we have a lot to discuss."

Elijah turned his head and looked at the human girl with a raised eyebrow after he had drained the first blood bag. The original found it amusing that the doppelganger was still trying to make deals when the last one that he tried to make caused his death. "And why shouldn't I take you away right now, so I know for sure your bodyguards don't go and pull another trick again?" Elijah inquired with a tilt of his head as he was really tempted to just take Emily away from Mystic Falls and away from everyone who keeps interrupting his plan.

The human doppelganger bit down on her bottom lip as she stared across at the vampire before she broke their locked gaze and placed her hand into the black purse that was resting on her thighs. Emily reached around for a few seconds before she felt her fingers touch a cold piece of metal before she pulled it out and showed Elijah what she had - the dagger. The Gilbert girl held out of the weapon to the original as she murmured, "let this be a peace offering."

Emily waited until the original vampire slowly grasped the dagger in his hand before she shrugged her shoulders as she gazed at the Salvatore boarding house. "You're right, though," the human girl mumbled as she turned her green eyes back onto Elijah before she explained her thoughts, "you have every right to do what you think is right by taking me away when everyone I have cared about has tried to kill you." Emily gave the original vampire a small smile before she begged, "but please let's have a talk first before you make your final decision."

Elijah gazed down at the familiar dagger in his hands for a few moments before he connected his brown eyes with Emily's soft green ones with a small sigh. The original vampire knew he could trust the human girl, so he decided to listen to what she had to say before he took her with him as he was actually curious to what Emily had to talk about without her protective bodyguards. Finally, after a minute or so of a tense atmosphere in the Camaro, Elijah nodded his head and murmured, "fine, let's talk."

Emily couldn't help but release a sigh of relief at the fact that Elijah wasn't going to just take her away without listening to her first. It was the only thing that she had left with Klaus hurting her loved ones and him actually being here in Mystic Falls for the sacrifice, so Emily was glad that her plan wasn't ruined before she even got the chance to get Elijah's help like Katherine had told her in the letter.

The Gilbert girl took a deep breath now that she knew that she was going to get the opportunity to speak to the original before she started up the car. Emily bit down on her bottom lip while she waited until the engine to start as she gazed up at the Salvatore boarding house. The human girl knew that everyone that was currently sleeping inside were going to be pissed at her but Emily knew this was the only way that she was going to be able to protect them all.

Meanwhile, as the Gilbert girl left the driveway of the Salvatore boarding house with the now undaggered original vampire by her side and traveled through the small town of Mystic Falls for about twenty or so minutes, back at the boarding house, the younger Salvatore was slowly beginning to wake up from his slumber like he usually does everyday at six in the morning for school.

Stefan went through his usual process as he sluggishly woke himself up from his comfortable sleep before he reached his hand out to touch his girlfriend. However, though, when the Salvatore vampire didn't feel Emily's warm and smooth skin next to him, he instantly sat up in his bed in panic. Stefan didn't like not knowing where the human girl was, especially lately, so the younger Salvatore swiftly vamp sped out of his bed and hurriedly rushed to Emily's bedroom in the boarding house.

Stefan threw open the door once he reached Emily's bedroom before his frantic green eyes immediately began to look for the human girl. However, the younger Salvatore, sadly, couldn't find the human girl in the room. Stefan couldn't help but frown as he was slowly going crazy from where Emily could be. The green eyed vampire shook his head as he knew that he needed to focus before he quickly headed out of the bedroom and began his search downstairs.

"Emily!" The Salvatore vampire shouted once he reached the foyer of the boarding house before he began to look into each room. "Babe! Are you here?" Stefan continued to call out with his brows furrowed. Stefan knew that he couldn't panic just yet, so he decided to try the last place that he hadn't looked - the kitchen. Maybe she's making coffee, the Salvatore vampire tried to convince himself as he headed towards that direction.

However, instead of finding his beautiful and tired girlfriend in the kitchen, Stefan spotted the newswoman and their recently made friend - Andie Star. The Salvatore vampire huffed out a sigh when he couldn't find his girlfriend anywhere before he decided to ask the human woman. "Hey, Andie," Stefan greeted before he inquired as he anxiously crossed his arms over his white tank top, "have you seen Emily this morning?"

Andie glanced up from her cell phone before her brows instantly furrowed at the question as she hadn't heard from the Gilbert girl since a couple of days ago during a lunch date that she had with Emily and Jenna. The human woman shook her head before she murmured, "I just got in a few minutes ago."

Stefan only had the chance to nod his head in understanding while his worrying started to rise for his missing girlfriend before his brother and his girlfriend entered the kitchen. "Hey, Andie," the older Salvatore greeted the woman when he noticed her by the kitchen island before he wondered in confusion as he didn't remember Andie calling for anything lately, "what are you doing here this early?"

The newswoman shot the vampire couple an excited grin before she told Damon, "I dug around and did some research with my connections." Andie grabbed her purse from the kitchen island and looked around for a moment before she pulled out a folder. "This was all I could find on the new arrivals in Mystic Falls," the human woman began once she handed the folder over to the blue eyed vampire before she continued with a small pout and a small shrug, "but I couldn't find anything on a Klaus but that's understandable since he's the biggest bad guy around."

The Gilbert vampire gave the newswoman a look of appreciation with a small smile before she voiced her praise, "thank you for trying, Andie." Elena hadn't even been sure that they would find anything when they had asked Andie to look into anyone new in Mystic Falls to track down Klaus, but she was still thankful all the same.

Elena moved closer to her boyfriend as she looked over Damon's shoulder to see what Andie had found. However, Elena couldn't help but to be deflate when there wasn't anything on Klaus like the newswoman mentioned since Klaus is the biggest bad guy there is - which wasn't wrong since he did go after Bonnie last night. The only thing that the Gilbert vampire could see in the research Andie had done was three locations that someone had recently moved into.

Elena knew that it wasn't much but she was still thankful - even though she didn't really like the fact that they only got this information because Damon compelled the human woman to look for information for them. However, the Gilbert vampire just had to remind herself that it was to keep her sister safe and alive to know where Klaus is. It wasn't like Damon was hurting Andie. It was just a little compulsion without allowing the human woman to remember what she hears about the supernatural world. It's to keep her safe as well, Elena reminded herself as she pushed away the guilt that she felt for using Andie, someone they had befriended lately, for their own personal gain.

Andie gave the teenage vampire a large grin before she exclaimed, "it's not a problem, my sweet." The human woman's brown eyes then quickly widened as she remembered what she had also brought with her this morning before she gaped, "oh!" Andie pointed over to the kitchen counter before she told Elena, "I picked up you and Emily some coffee on my way over."

The Gilbert vampire shot the newswoman another thankful smile and grabbed the to-go cup from a familiar coffee shop in the Town Square as she was glad to have some caffeine this early in the morning. However, after Elena took a sip of the heavenly drink, she couldn't help but frown when she didn't see her twin sister. "Hey," Elena mumbled before she wondered, "where is Emmie, anyway?" The Gilbert vampire figured her twin sister would have already been down here in the kitchen at the smell of the coffee since Emily basically has a hound dog's nose for finding caffeine.

"That's what I've been wondering," the younger Salvatore vampire mumbled with his arms crossed over his white tank top with his worrying getting worse by the second. "She wasn't in bed when I woke up this morning and I can't find her anywhere," Stefan told his girlfriend's twin sister - who was also starting to look nervous and anxious like he felt.

The newswoman began to pack up her tan purse after she had looked at her watch and realized that she needed to head to work. However, when she heard the concern in the teenagers's voices, Andie looked at the brown and green eyed vampires before she lightly suggested, "I can look in the Town Square before I head down to the station to see if I can find her."

Elena couldn't help but release a small sigh of relief at the offer from the human woman before she showed her praise as she uttered, "that would be great. Thank you, Andie." The young vampire shot the newswoman another smile before she requested, "if you see Emmie anywhere, please give me a call."

Andie nodded her head in understanding before she assured the younger Gilbert twin with a soft smile, "you'll be my first call if I do." The newswoman then quickly gave the two other vampires, the Salvatore brothers, a grin along with a slight wave of her hand and exclaimed before she strutted out of the kitchen and out of the boarding house, "let me know if you guys need anything else."

The frustrated Stefan didn't even give the human woman another glance when no one knew where Emily was as he swiftly grabbed his cell phone from the sweatpants that he was wearing before he quickly dialed his girlfriend's number by heart. The younger Salvatore nervously began to pace the kitchen as he waited to hear the smooth melody of Emily's voice before Stefan instantly released a heavy sigh when the call went straight to voicemail.

Stefan waited until he heard the beeping sound before he recorded his message while he continued to anxiously pace the length of the kitchen, "hey, baby." The Salvatore vampire released another sigh before he continued as if he was talking to his girlfriend, "where are you? No one knows where you're at and I'm starting to worry." Stefan anxiously bit down on his bottom lip for a moment as he just prayed to hear Emily's voice before he murmured, "please give me a call as soon as you get this. I love you."

The younger Salvatore couldn't help but release another heavy sigh once he ended the call to his girlfriend and gazed down at his lockscreen - which was a picture of Emily. The green eyed vampire honestly felt like he was going crazy with worrying about where the human girl could be. It wasn't like Emily to not tell anyone, not even her twin sister, where she was going. Emily would at least leave a text message or a note, so Stefan felt something was definitely off.

Stefan wasn't just going to sit and wait for something to happen, though, so he thought about last night and everything that happened. He remembered coming back from the dance after they dealt with Klaus and the Gilbert twins talked with the very much alive Bonnie. Stefan also remembered Emily and Damon talking for a couple of hours before she finally came to bed. So, with the realization that Damon was the last one to talk to his girlfriend, Stefan looked to his brother before he inquired, "did Emily say anything last night when you guys were hanging out?"

The older Salvatore vampire shook his head and mumbled, "nope," before he grabbed the missing human girl's coffee since she probably wouldn't end up drinking it. Damon shrugged his shoulders when his girlfriend and brother shot him a glare before he explained what he and the human girl did last night, "we just talked, made up, and did a little drinking."

Stefan huffed out a sigh when he realized his brother was going to be no help whatsoever before he moved his green irises onto his girlfriend's twin sister. "What about you, Elena?" The younger Salvatore inquired as he anxiously tapped his bare foot against the cold marble floor of the kitchen before he continued his interrogation, "do you know where she could have gone this early?"

The Gilbert vampire bit down on her bottom lip as she thought over Stefan's question about where her twin sister could have gone after their stressful night that they all experienced only less than a day ago before Elena's brown eyes immediately widened. "Oh, please tell me you didn't," Elena mumbled to herself before she swiftly vamp sped down to the basement. Elena knew if she actually did know her twin sister then she was going to be, sadly, right about what Emily had done.

The Salvatore brothers glanced at one another in confusion when the young vampire had only mumbled to herself before she left. Stefan was worried to what Elena had realized and Damon was mainly just curious, so the two brothers followed Elena's scent - which lead them down to the basement. The Salvatore brothers cautiously stood behind Elena to see what she had figured out before they immediately noticed the missing original.

"Oh, yes she did," Damon muttered with a shake of her head as he ended his girlfriend's previous statement about what the human girl had done. "She has officially gone crazy," the older Salvatore mumbled as they all stared with a mix of shock, anger, and anxiousness into the space of where Elijah, the dangerous original vampire, should be. However, above all, the one thought that was running through the three vampires's minds was ~ what have you done, Emily Gilbert?
